  2. Three Times a Lady - Commodores and my first 8 track tape - lol
  3. I'm a total sap -- my absolute favorite thing is surprising someone with their perfect gift. It is pure magic when it happens. So far my top two are: Oldest son's hero from 4-10ish years old was Jeff Gordon -- we camped infield at the then brand new California Speedway for years until I got too sick -- anyway my son was 6 and I found a mini Jeff Gordon...
  4. Slip Sliding Away -- Simon and Garfunkel window closed...it was letting the rain in here too
  5. When I was diagnosed I went to a nutritionist that explained how I would no longer be eating processed foods fortified with vitamins and minerals -- I ate very few of these for the 43 years before diagnosis - so it was a non-issue for me. Whole foods and supplementing any deficiencies caused by Celiac Disease will fulfill all dietary requirements far better...
  6. doh...don't know how i screwed up...must of opened an old window
  7. Mine's still in the dehydrator, but I can tell you that L2T's recipe will taste far superior -- there wasn't much I could marinate mine in -- so I'm hopeful it is edible...will post instructions after I try and get verified by one of the male jerky experts in my midst. And yes I was walking in the rain -- I love weather -- guess it's cuz we rarely have...
  8. Oh L2T- Obama care made preventative covered - if you are insured - didn't really solve the cost of insurance escalations problems though.
  9. California - older son considered Colorado. This one will likely do the cc tranfer deal so he can obtain his degree from one of the best English depts - grades have never been a driving force for this creative son. Cracked me up this morning when I realized he had great grades during my healthful times and crappy ones during my froggy/horizontal times...
  10. I use the standard recipe from the old better homes and gardens red plaid cookbook - only replacement I do is gluten-free all purpose flour worked great. If others don't chime in I will compare your recipe to it when I get home. Great idea to provide these so all the kids have the same gingerlessmen for this project - way to go Mom!
  11. YAY...CSU apps in -- glad the server didn't crash -- son took it all in stride - wish I had his calm many days. Patti - THANK YOU always great to be reminded of the light at the end of the tunnel -- I've seen it, but didn't know there were going to be multiple tunnels live and learn. All the massage talk cracks me up -- I knew how much my hubby...
  12. Sucks eh -- actually it does get better if it leads to healing -- I'm starting my six month clock again effective Thanksgiving -- all goes well I'll be trialing bacon, eggs, guacamole and rice just in time for me birthday - the real one, not the silly one - hmmmm maybe bacon on my silly bday. Here's hoping you are feeling so good soon that you don't...
  13. You are close to Mt. Rose!!! -- 3 GottaSki's and 1 GottaBoard will be there just as soon as this stubborn body can get back a bit more mobility -- now where'd you say your hide-a-key was -- oh too big an invasion -- I can leave everyone home Let's work on the breathing -- so you can join these silly joints on the sledding hill.
  14. Poor little bean -- try epic rap battles -- pretty funny.
  15. Goodness Gracious -- snowshoes -- how many muscles you got lady -- I'll have you sliding along no Triple Diamonds I promise or I can throw you in a sled and tow you while you pour the cocktails -- oh I mean hot chocolate
  16. hmmm.... butternut squash fries --- sliced really thin --- in a toaster oven???? And fortunately your "mostly" items will absolutely improve with time - I promise. The reasons I BYO roll right of my tongue - I tend to stick to I am so happy to be out with friends that what I eat isn't a concern to me, so it shouldn't be to you...shall we order another...
  17. Stick with me - I teach really well - we can do it one day (well maybe the nice long run along the peak that raps around the backside of the Mtn to the house with roaring fire and hot cocoa?????
  18. These joints need a bit more healing before I head there -- but I do have some junior silly's and a hubby ready at the drop of a hat even if they have to hike it - but if a heli comes with the house it'll save some time -- so are the new owner's full time? where's the hide-a-key?
  19. Oh goodness...that is not an easy question... Bear - Home Hill - until recently averaged 30 days a season - 44 was the best year ever - I hate this flipping disease. Silver and Geronimo -- perfect nice long blue, black and double with no jumps and jibs -- SoCal mountains are all about the features and the boards - so I have these runs to myself...
  20. No worries...my name is Lisa so I answer to any form of either name. Hey...make sure you ask if you are craving something...those of us on more limited diets can usually help.
  21. one of my all time favorites... oops Father and Son -- Cat Stevens
  22. oh...sorry cheesy mess and girlies getting squished should never be in the same vicinity. What's on the menu for manana? I'm going to try to make Jerky with simple brine - couldn't find anything safe to use as marinade - I will - but for now wanna test out the dehydrator.
  23. think I saw some major green blobs this morning in Northern Cali -- not to worry weather on the way -- mild good, but I do love to live vicariously as I love Steeeeeep Psnaoughy spots.
  24. The girls getting squished could definitely mess with connective tissue Always better to error on the side of caution when chest pain is radiating.
