  1. You may need to change 'New Content' settings on the left side of the screen - I use 'last 24 hours'.
  2. Now this is exciting - I love reading of research that tackles autoimmune issues with novel techniques. Here's hoping all of our old T-cells will learn new tricks Thanks for sharing!
  3. P - That makes 3 - you should be in for a better day tomorrow for the phlip
  4. Welcome! I agree with getting tested again full celiac panel plus nutrient testing - then regardless of what the blood says - remove ALL gluten (unless you think you may have an endoscopy to confirm diagnosis). The return of your symptoms plus a few more sounds very much like the progressively worsening symptoms of Celiac Disease and will likely...
  5. You can do it. A couple more ideas: roll of foil (makes a quick barrier if you don't feel like cleaning the counter and use to line pans, bbq, etc) small cutting board (i take one of those very thin plastic types that I can roll up or a 5x7 wood one) sharpie for labeling items that need to stay gluten-free - colorful duct tape works too keep your food...
  6. Were you gluten free or light prior to the blood draw? You need to be ingesting gluten to produce the antibodies measured in celiac blood work. I'm not sure, but it looks like the only celiac antibody tests were: tTG-IgA EMA-IgA = Endomysial you also had low total IgA which means the above two tests were likely inaccurate even if you were...
  7. Quote of the Month Award should go to Paul Donna - many of us test negative. The villi atrophy with other autoimmune disorders and improved symptoms while gluten free are all strong reasons to remove ALL gluten from your diet. My daughter was diagnosed Lupus, RA and Fibro as a teen -- I have had severe AI symptoms my entire life -- until I was...
  8. Oh wow...that is a tough situation. I haven't seen it...I'll see if I can find it. I don't have research to link to right now...but can add that for years I thought I was feeling poorly after I ate beef -- turns out it was everything I was eating with the beef. Hang in there...sure others can post some good data.
  9. And shoveling snow may be good exercise, but we will get plenty when I drag you all out on the slopes -- ummm -- this snow you speak of will be resort adjacent, right? Dinner for my men is nightshade free chicken enchiladas (cream/garlic sauce), refried beans from scratch and salad. Endless spaghetti squash encores for me - basil spinach garlic almond...
  10. Time to kick someone's ass. Went to go back thru copies of Living Without to look for the missing Red Velvet recipe and found that my dear hubby has tossed this year's collection - now I'm not saying there are not things worth tossing laying about - but why does he always pick things that piss me off? I think we'll designate him as our dishwasher after...
  11. Complete Blood Count and Complete Metabolic Panel are important basic tests for everyone - not just Celiacs - it is likely that you've already had them. My list of intolerances is about as bad as it gets. Most folks diagnosed with Celiac Disease are able to simply remove gluten and perhaps dairy while they heal. Others have a few more groups that bother...
  12. Yes, regardless of the results of the tTG, if you are considering removing gluten you should have the full panel I listed above plus nutrient testing as malabsorption is a strong indicator of Celiac Disease. Bs, D, K, Iron, Ferritin, Copper and Zinc Also, CBC and CMP if you have not yet had them.
  13. Yes, small hard balls is typical with constipation. You have improved iin one week, so I'd expect you to continue improving. For now drink as much water as possible.
  14. Hi Shadow- Have you tried draft quality on your printer? Shaking the black cartridge about than trying again or change the font color to dark blue can work too -- of course a walk to the library is a good choice for other reasons at least you only need three pages. Scott jumbled the forums a bit to be listed in order of most frequently visited.
  15. Midnight -- Red Hot Chili Peppers
  16. Six weeks on tea - eight weeks without all other supplements. Tea is steeped very dark - twice per day -- I'm currently using two teabags in the morning and reusing them for second cup. Am still slowly improving - more hours vertical. Have added almonds back into diet - Happy Dance Might lose the only high lectin food that remained in...
  17. Blue Sky Mine -- Midnight Oil
  18. In an extremely awkward scene between Jackie and Danny. Jennifer was looking down and mumbled something about needing personal time and Donnie was stiff - very awkward compared to their normal chemistry. Her first female replacement was on the same episode - CBS goofed big time on this one - both with the unjust treatment of Jennifer and for the chemistry...
  19. Do you know which tests were ordered? Were you gluten-free or gluten light prior to the blood draw? In my opinion if you have digestive, autoimmune or a combo of any of the over 300+ symptoms of Celiac Disease - celiac testing is not pointless. While it is not impossible to have a false positive - it is very rare - hence the "positive is positive...
  20. Break on Through -- Doors
  21. Love Street -- Doors
  22. great plan has the can opener been cleaned - run through the dishwasher? the mixer and food processor can be cleaned - leave them out in the garage for a separate project - you've already got enough on the agenda for tomorrow
  23. Welcome Back Kendra! I read your first post and the most important statement to me was this: Everyone brushes all my symptoms into stress of having 4 kids and going to school, but I believe I handle it all quite well and feel like crap all the time. It's not stress. I don't care what anyone says. I know my body and I just don't feel good ever. ...
  24. I'd keep gluten in for now because it is really important to do so if you decide to get tested. Elimination Diets can be done two ways: The first is to remove one food or food group at a time for at least a week - then re-try the item. If you have removed an entire group - let's use dairy as an example - re-try each dairy item (milk, yogurt, butter...
