  1. bacon mac & cheese are both universal food....they go with everything and quite nicely together hmmmm......perhaps a touch of RBJ on our vegies tonight
  2. My doctor tells me what he sees -- more like tells my hubby as I am out of it from the sleepy drugs they use. Then there is a written procedure report from doctor -- this is often ready before the written pathology report which takes about a week.
  3. Steak Sharp Cheddar Mac and Cheese - non vegie eating sis coming for dinner Something green - not for the Sis a bit of the smiley puzzle piece cake left for them for dessert
  4. curious....as a vegetarian do you eat tomatoes, peppers, potatoes and eggplant nightshades can cause joint pain i'm not saying almonds can't be problematic for some folks -- just hate to see you lose a great source of protein and good fat. also double check your almonds are from a gluten-free source -- i had a heck of a time finding raw almonds...
  5. Welcome Nikki! I couldn't find contact info on their website...but here is a company that sells Macro Vegetarian products. I'd email them to find out. Open Original Shared Link
  6. This one is too fun not to copy... Happy Spring Everyone
  7. Yes. She has Celiac Disease - in my opinion. With those blood results on gluten light - she needs to be seen by the best celiac gi pediatric specialist you have locally. Don't remove gluten until you have the endoscopy - not all gi's are equal when it comes to celiac disease. No need to overdo the consumption. One half of a grilled cheese should...
  8. We...six celiacs in my family LOVE In and Out. I can't currently eat their fries...but it is the potato, not the oil that gets me. My kids and grands all eat there...it is the only fast food that all of us can order food safely. When we travel we often run into other folks with allergy concerns - I applaud this company for consistently training their...
  9. cuz it really is good food when done simply.
  10. Oh Jamer! Thank you for posting
  11. Sadly not far off. I always point out when we are watching zombie shows....how similar zombies are to hungry young men....they will even push their girls aside for food! ps...then apologize to said girls when mom slaps them upside the head - lovingly
  12. I agree with Karen. I had issue with planter's dry-roasted and for a time was very confused as they should have been "safe". Some time later I had issue with planter's plain salted peanuts...what the heck? Turns out I was intolerant of peanuts - not allergic. When we remove gluten - sometime other temporary intolerances rear their ugly heads. ...
  13. Glad you had an easy dinner Addie. I can't do those chickens YET -- my celi kids can -- Grandparents buy them and throw them towards my door knowing it is easy food for the teens regularly grazing at my home - and I am grateful every time.
  14. Hang in there Mom - you are awesome. Wish the road to diagnosing our kids was much easier. Big HUG
  15. hey...what was that i heard? high pitched squealing nothing deserves a squeal as much as great gluten-free bread. ps...I am not a TROLL....all other mods are off having fun so I am attached to my keyboard tonight...good thing I finally got my laptop working!
  16. Oh my goodness. You have had a tough time -- even if you don't have Celiac Disease - we understand. I also think celiac disease is a a very REAL possibility for many of your health problems. NP is fine, or your primary. The most important thing to do is demand a full celiac antibody panel now - before you remove gluten. Total Serum IgA tTG...
  17. This is an old thread. In case the original poster does not respond. Welcome! Removing ALL gluten is essential for a person with Celiac Disease. If your son is adhering to a gluten free diet there is every reason to believe he will live a long, healthy gluten-free life. Let us know if you have any more questions.
  18. Again welcome... ps...fresh ginger tea may do more for you when you have a tummy ache and will get rid of that last pesky gluten in the house -- and on your lips -- for your lady
  19. Just saw this thread. While I have never had blisters....I get severe itchy-red patches when I get glutened..I also have had severe heat/exercise intolerance "allergy" my entire life which has gotten worse each decade (red rash - severe blushing - breathing issues). Removing gluten did not resolve this. Removing high histamine and histamine inducing...
  20. Hang in there....IrishHeart is spot on...you are not alone - many of us have been through similar frustrations. It can get better.
  21. Pictures and recipes are not required...although quite beautiful...many of us do enjoy the chat part of this thread -- occasional pics are fun but not necessary.
  22. Hi Dee Ho - good neighbors.... I completely missed this -- will have to go back and look as I don't even know who blasted you. To anyone reading along - let's not attack each other -- we have all had different experiences along this road to finding health -- we all are here to help each other. Takala...I'll re-read as soon as I can.
  23. Welcome! While I have never seen those particular numbers/reference ranges...what is striking is the words of analysis - "Borderline" and "Weak Positive". Given you mention your child was gluten light and the lab says positive - especially the EMA - needs further investigation. Should you not be able to find a doctor that is a specialist in pediatric...
