  1. Two compounds -- stellar idea K! I'll venture down to the Florida site for a visit in the winter months, but will hold down the Colorado fort most of the time. Roll call....where is everyone???? And where will you be spending your time once we form our gluten-free compounds?
  2. Hi DS! I used probiotics for several years -- I know they help many folks - but didn't do much for me -- are you taking digestive enzymes? Hated to hear you are having these troubles...many of us do become more sensitive as time gluten-free passes -- I remain ever hopeful that I'll get many of the healthful foods I have lost back and you will too...
  3. I'm another that can't have eggs -- not because of gluten, but because my damaged gut can't digest many items properly. I agree with Irish - remove them for awhile and then try them again.
  4. Party...did someone say party? Glad its online...kind of long day so I have a date with my comfy chair tonight...happy to hear notme's great news -- darn it - my kindle cant use my little cheerleaders - oh well. Hip hip hooray for Notme!
  5. I've got soup for you both -- it was great and I ate it WITH rice pasta in it -- usually I pull mine outta the pot before I add the pasta group -- and usually I use corn based pasta for soups as it holds up better -- but gotta say it was really great having a serving with pasta -- and had no reactions what so ever -- now just have to take my own advice and...
  6. hmmm...I've lost my little cheeleader -- will go look for her and edit her it -- this is fantastic news Alex! Here she is -- and I realized when I went looking for her by searching this thread for "cheerleader" -- I originally borrowed her from Irish -- so technically this is Irish and this is me
  7. Hi Sophe and Welcome.... I have to thank you...I love honesty -- yep the transition SUCKs....good news is you have all this support...wow...even this old brod is impressed...great advice....most important is -- laugh as often as possible and smile when it is not. Read the 101 and let us know how we can help.
  8. Welcome Back to you and I think I forgot to welcome my Nascar Pal back!!! Glad to see you both LFitts -- don't be too hard on yourself -- I think we have all come up lacking a bit when gluten jumps in our path. Dinner sounded yummy - glad you are feeling better. Life got in the way of the upside down peach cake today -- so men will have left over...
  9. A great plan...make sure you keep a list of improved symptoms -- I still think High DGP-IgG together with symptom improvement is Celiac Disease -- but that is just my opinion -- the label doesn't really matter -- should you have family or friends that say things such as == "well, you are JUST intolerant" -- hold firm -- gluten has made your body attack itself...
  10. ya...that convulsing crap is no fun -- careful, easy going....are you still a raccoon today?
  11. those little girls always piss me off -- but I and carry on -- here is a hint -- watch out for Lisa with a big-assed smile -- it means something devious is in the works! Normal -- that is generally me and "usually" sincere. One of my kids had a "vegetarian" over last weekend -- I have nothing about vegies or folks that choose to eat only vegies...
  12. Sorry Girlie-- Is this from surgery or your body adjusting to your pituitary getting back to functioning without "Blob"? Hang in there -- you had major - um -- MAJOR surgery on Tuesday -- it will take some time to heal -- rest up!
  13. found turkey necks and wings at the market this morning so a huge pot of turkey soup -- doesn't feel much like soup whether -- but it is my Mom's favorite so I'll pack some up for her lunch tomorrow oh and still have a very long honey-do list for this weekend so a peach upside down cake continues my campaign of bribes
  14. Just realized that I didn't answer about whole foods -- I often forget my signature is so long perhaps it is not clear what I actually eat. Meat, Fish, Almonds, Vegies that do not contain or induce histamine production -- limited fruits - mostly apples and pears -- occasional other fruits, but never citrus or bananas. I use almond and coconut flour...
  15. Ok...sucky for now, but so thankful to hear your blob is gone! And the numbers are great, right? Rest up - the racoon look will fade - thanks for the update
  16. Yep - removing histimane foods has helped quite a bit. I can now be out in the sunshine as long as I don't push it. I can ride my bike or run as long as it is under 65F and walk up to low 70s - for me this is a huge improvement. I am hopeful that I am finally healing my small intestine and will eventually get many of the foods I have removed back - just...
  17. I am very familiar with all the heat/exercise related symptoms - for me this continued to get worse even after my celiac diagnosis -- an awful lot of reading and research led me to Histamine Intolerance (HIT) - you see, when we exercise our bodies produce histamine -- in a healthy body histamine is regulated by enzymes that are created in the mucosal lining...
  18. Yay Colleen!!! You rest up and jump in when you are ready -- stable sounds promising to me -- we will keep the the faith that the MRI and scan results are all good news. Thanks for the update Irish
  19. I'm in class all day ... take care!
  20. I Say A Little Prayer -- Aretha Franklin
  21. Yum...and why can't you put a picture here? you can't post a link to a personal blog -- but we post pics of yummy things here on occasion -- just not daily.
  22. I don't do well with the chat feature....but someone save me a cupcake -- which I will carefully freeze for when I get such treats back...hmmm.. i wonder how those freshly baked bagels from mariposa bakery in sf are doing in deep freeze? Sorry Diana - Shroomie and Karen mentioned sweet treats and my mind went wandering.....
  23. Johnny B Goode -- Chuck Berry in a listen to it kind of mood.... Open Original Shared Link
  24. I agree -- I should have had them earlier -- but did not know my reactions would become "that" severe -- after the first anaphylactic type reaction -- hubby and I made it thru on Benedryl -- I am VERY THANKFUL I told my doctor of the serious reaction for which she prescribed the pens -- now I tell anyone that is having increasingly strong reactions to random...
