ARCHIVED Blood Test Results Of My 8 Year Old
GottaSki replied to pryforma's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
My doctor tells me what he sees -- more like tells my hubby as I am out of it from the sleepy drugs they use. Then there is a written procedure report from doctor -- this is often ready before the written pathology report which takes about a week. -

Steak Sharp Cheddar Mac and Cheese - non vegie eating sis coming for dinner Something green - not for the Sis a bit of the smiley puzzle piece cake left for them for dessert -
curious....as a vegetarian do you eat tomatoes, peppers, potatoes and eggplant nightshades can cause joint pain i'm not saying almonds can't be problematic for some folks -- just hate to see you lose a great source of protein and good fat. also double check your almonds are from a gluten-free source -- i had a heck of a time finding raw almonds...

ARCHIVED Blood Test Results Of My 8 Year Old
GottaSki replied to pryforma's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Yes. She has Celiac Disease - in my opinion. With those blood results on gluten light - she needs to be seen by the best celiac gi pediatric specialist you have locally. Don't remove gluten until you have the endoscopy - not all gi's are equal when it comes to celiac disease. No need to overdo the consumption. One half of a grilled cheese should... -
ARCHIVED In-N-Out Burgers, Beware The Fryer
GottaSki replied to CeliacAndCfsCrusader's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
We...six celiacs in my family LOVE In and Out. I can't currently eat their fries...but it is the potato, not the oil that gets me. My kids and grands all eat there...it is the only fast food that all of us can order food safely. When we travel we often run into other folks with allergy concerns - I applaud this company for consistently training their... -

Sadly not far off. I always point out when we are watching zombie shows....how similar zombies are to hungry young men....they will even push their girls aside for food! ps...then apologize to said girls when mom slaps them upside the head - lovingly -
ARCHIVED Planter's Honey Roasted Peanuts
GottaSki replied to EmiPark210's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I agree with Karen. I had issue with planter's dry-roasted and for a time was very confused as they should have been "safe". Some time later I had issue with planter's plain salted peanuts...what the heck? Turns out I was intolerant of peanuts - not allergic. When we remove gluten - sometime other temporary intolerances rear their ugly heads. ... -

Glad you had an easy dinner Addie. I can't do those chickens YET -- my celi kids can -- Grandparents buy them and throw them towards my door knowing it is easy food for the teens regularly grazing at my home - and I am grateful every time. -

Oh my goodness. You have had a tough time -- even if you don't have Celiac Disease - we understand. I also think celiac disease is a a very REAL possibility for many of your health problems. NP is fine, or your primary. The most important thing to do is demand a full celiac antibody panel now - before you remove gluten. Total Serum IgA tTG...

ARCHIVED My Journey Through Gluten....
GottaSki replied to NoGlutenJose's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Again welcome... ps...fresh ginger tea may do more for you when you have a tummy ache and will get rid of that last pesky gluten in the house -- and on your lips -- for your lady -
Just saw this thread. While I have never had blisters....I get severe itchy-red patches when I get glutened..I also have had severe heat/exercise intolerance "allergy" my entire life which has gotten worse each decade (red rash - severe blushing - breathing issues). Removing gluten did not resolve this. Removing high histamine and histamine inducing...

ARCHIVED 2Yr Old Tested For Gluten Sensitivity - How To Interpret The Results?
GottaSki replied to Nikoletta's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Welcome! While I have never seen those particular numbers/reference ranges...what is striking is the words of analysis - "Borderline" and "Weak Positive". Given you mention your child was gluten light and the lab says positive - especially the EMA - needs further investigation. Should you not be able to find a doctor that is a specialist in pediatric...- 8 replies
