    ARCHIVED Doctors!

Hi J! I wish I had been more proactive when each and every doctor I went to found nothing wrong with me for over 25 years -- listen to your body -- when doctors say nothing is wrong -- they should say -- I don't know the proper tests to run to find out what is wrong with you. Stick to your guns - find another doctor - read all you can and don't ever...
  3. Pool on hold -- motor died in storage -- and since I'm waiting a few days for amazon to send me a new one -- thinking the men are going to have to expand the small deck so there is more space to hang out with our feet dangling in. Now....I think something more fancy than brownies may help my idea move along -- what to make? I know it will not be a Charlotte...
  4. Good Morning! Re-building the above ground pool today (we have a tiered back yard that hides the sides -- so I put in the above ground pool when the kids were little until we built the real pool -- well life and illness stopped plans for all our major home improvement projects -- kinda glad now as retirement grows closer I don't think we'll be home much...
  5. That is great! I've been having trouble with the new version of search window -- but just tried gottaski mousse and found my recipe just like that Thanks Peter
  6. Scary stuff -- I had read and heard that each anaphylactic episode can be worse than the last -- very scary no matter our age, but must be terrifying for a little one. My BP was thru the roof from the epi - it did go back to my normal BP within a few hours -- but the whole episode does knock the stuffing out of you. Mindwarp is right -- we had practiced...
  7. All were normal or negative. The IGA of 147 is Total Serum IgA - yours is within the "normal" range. The two Gliadin AB are sometimes called AGA -- most doctors now use the more sensitive Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) - both IgA and IgG - if you have more blood drawn you may want to ask for DGPs before removing gluten. The two Transglutam...

    ARCHIVED Doctors!

I would take Benedryl the next time you have the symptoms you think are allergic in nature. I have to take it whenever one of my intolerances jumps in my path -- I'm not a big fan of the prophylactic anti-histamine approach -- my allergist had me trying several different ones to try to solve my heat/exercise intolerance/allergy -- the only one that worked...
  9. I like to think of things in terms of five years -- It takes about five years to completely replace the bones in your body -- if you eat well and move often the new bones will be strong. If you eat poorly and rarely move, your bones will be weak. Cancer survivors wait for the all important five year mark -- if one remains clear for five years - the...
  10. Wow...recently I attended something called the Celiac Awareness Fair when it's nationwide tour stopped in San Diego -- small, but nice with good samples, coupons, etc. and I got to take a couple free yoga for digestion classes -- and the vendor of my "astronaut" food (organic baby food in little pouches that I carry for emergency food - well a bit more often...
  11. Not to worry Mw -- you will be a healthy mid 50 - rather than an undiagnosed Celiac! You'll be running circles around those grumpy teens -- Me thinks menopause will be a cakewalk comparatively -- and before anyone jumps me -- yes -- I've been thru "the change" -- early thanks to my silly body's inablility to create enough necessary hormones - not sure exactly...
  12. Good Luck Kristen!!! Fresh blue fingers and toes here -- plus a cobalt blue sparkly ribbon on both my kitty and dog
  13. Glad dinner peeps are feeling a bit better -- IH - how about you today? So some of you may have seen my Cobalt Blue toenail picture -- today I am sporting matching sparkly cobalt blue fingernails -- a bit of back story: One of my favorite local tv anchormen -- also a staunch environmentalist and natural remedy for home and garden guru was diagnosed...
  14. Thanks for the update -- glad you get to shower -- always feels fantastic after withheld for a few days. Prayers for good news from the scans tomorrow continue
  15. lol....as usual Neroli is very wise and spot on -- including her image of me shedding clothing -- more than once I have had very strange looks as I shed layers down to my sport tank top in cool or even cold weather -- lots of layers is the way I regulate my temperature -- right now I am wearing my all important tank as I never know when I'll need to strip...
  16. Had a thought early this morning -- when we remove foods we often replace them with others that can also be problematic -- where are you getting protein now? If it is a lot of legumes and nuts -- those can be very difficult for some of us to digest. I know you said you are vegetarian - but you also said you would like to do anything to feel better.....
  17. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!!! You are correct that the Mono either triggered or exacerbated your symptoms. I know how hectic the weeks before your big day can be -- but this is important -- schedule time for you...your symptoms will get worse if you are stressed -- even with good reason. Perhaps try a soak in a hot epsom salt bath - get...
  18. Hi Colleen- Just in case you can read these, but not post right now -- I am still thinking powerful healing thoughts for you and will not stop.
  19. Our youngest turns 18 this month and graduates HS in june and - NO - it can't possibly be true - me thinks our calenndar is broke Hoping my sister makes it to Sunday dinner so we are having nothiing green - well I am as id starve without that color of food. 20. Rest is right!!! feel better soon
  21. Another Celiac diagnosed with Fibro here. I don't want to get into an argument about the validity of the set of sypmtoms commonly labeled Fibromyalgia -- only state that for me -- until we understood just how damaged my small intestine was from the four decades of undiagnosed Celiac Disease I had zero chance of getting my muscles and joints functioning again...
  22. I just read this thread AND am beyond angry for you and your family......everything Shroomie said - ditto!
  23. Welcome... A bit tired here...others will add more info, but Your Vitamin D is extremely low -- indicative of malabsorption. The celiac tests you list are not complete. assuming the Peptide test you list is DGP IGA. Missing are tTG-IgG, DGP-IgG and EMA-IgA -- I'm tired so perhaps you listed Total Serum IgA...but do double check
  24. Welcome to you both...one very tired Volunteer Mod here - apologies if we haven't approved your previous posts...stay tuned -- we try.
