  1. I've tried Stevia and Truvia(Stevia and Cane Sugar blend), but I just can't get over the taste. I am so so sensitive to taste and I just can't stand the taste of Stevia. I could probably make myself like it if used it enough, but I'm sticking with pure sugar for now
  2. The Dark Chocolate Almond milk is downright addictive if you like chocolate The Vanilla goes excellent in Smoothies as well...yum! Almond milk is all I drink now!
  3. I worked at Subway in high school and I can't see any way they would be able to pull this off without there being a lot of cross-contamination It's a nice try, but I really don't think it'll go over well...
  4. Their soy sauce is definitely gluten free...they wouldn't have it labeled as gluten free, otherwise I eat their noodle carts all the time!
  5. I personally can't stand the taste of bean flour in bread, so I nearly gagged when I first tried it. Others do like it, though, so it really depends on what tastes you do/don't like
  6. I use Wal-Mart brand Sudafed and have called them several times to ask about the gluten free status of a product. They simply tell me, "This product does not contain gluten ingredients" or "This product does contain gluten ingredients." Simple and easy I mark my boxes of medication that have been confirmed gluten free with a gluten-free with permanent marker...
  7. What ConAgra is trying to say here is that they don't have a master list of "Gluten Free" products. The list would be too lengthy, take too much time, and would change all the time, most likely. What they have done is to guarantee us that they will always disclose sources of gluten on the product label. As long as you read your labels and avoid products with...
  8. Kraft company owns LOADS of brands and Kraft is *very* upfront about ingredients in their products. You simply have to scan through the ingredients quickly and you can easily tell if one of their products contains gluten or not. Kraft owns brands like Oscar Meyer, Cool Whip, A1, Corn Nuts, Planters, Breakstones, Crystal Light, Taco Bell brand, Velveeta, Jell...
  9. I'm happy to see so many Baked chips on there. I adore the crunchy baked ones and they're not too unhealthy either!
  10. I make a cornbread using Pamela's Baking and Pancake mix and Bob's Red Mill cornmeal. It's super fast and easy and my family actually begs me to make it when we visit for dinner Sure makes me feel good that they like my "gluten free" cornbread over their "regular" cornbread Here's the recipe: Cornbread and Muffins 1-1/4 cup Pamela's Baking &...
  11. Every single artificial sweetener out there makes me sick: sorbitol, maltitol, xylitol, aspartame, splenda.... Somehow my body just hates them. I stick with plain sugar or honey, mmmmm
  12. Yep, I see that now. I guess I'll have to contact corporate at Burger King to verify if their "creamy mayonnaise" contains gluten or not...I was never a McDonald's girl anyway I've always been smitten with BK.
  13. Where do you find that Whopper sauce has gluten in it? I checked their allergen list and it said their mayo does not have gluten...does the Whopper have a different kind of mayo? I really need to find a good recipe for it if it's not safe
  14. Strong mint tea and a warm heating pad always help my tummy feel better when I get glutened. But I don't get the D or C issues that other people have. Immodium/Pepto would be very useful, I imagine. I've always wanted to travel overseas but now that I can't have gluten, it's one of my biggest fears Total bummer! I really hope you figure things out and have...
  15. I think everyone is kind of jumping to conclusions a bit....the OP never said he/she is in the military at all, some other poster brought it up. The OP's reasons are his/her business and may very well be completely unrelated to military
  16. *gasp* Does Whopper sauce contain gluten? I've been craving a Whopper 24 hours a day for 14 months now and I'm afraid I may die of sadness at the thought of never having one again...and no, chocolate, Snickers, chips, or any other gluten free snack will quell my Whopper cravings You have NO idea how bad I want one!
  17. Tonight is chicken and dumplings! We use the new gluten free Bisquick and it makes *Amazing* chicken and dumplings...yum! We have it about once a week now Plus, it's a good way to get veggies in. Rather than use 1 cup of mixed frozen veggies like it calls for, I just dump the whole bag of veggies in
  18. Ocean Spray states that its beverages and sauces are gluten free, but then gives this disclaimer: "Do Ocean Spray
  19. It's taco night for us tonight! We had steak, Annie's Mac n Cheese, and peas last night, and White Chicken Chili the night before...Yum!

    ARCHIVED Subway

I worked at Subway back in High School and I know that there were always bread crumbs in the veggies, meat and cheese. It's not really something we could control, it just happens when you're dealing with a lot of bread, having to bake and cut it. I would never eat at Subway, knowing this, but gosh, do I sure crave it all the time
  21. Is Pure Cream a brand, or are you referring to cream in general? I was confused by this because I react *very* strongly to whipping cream and did some research. Turns out that cream is very high in lactose and one of the foods I have to avoid completely Edited to Add: I did some more research and found this document listing the lactose content of different...
  22. Oh, good grief, I'm sorry, but I'm just not concerned about a bit of creamer in my hot chocolate or coffee. There are a lot of other damaging things to worry about, but creamer is not on my worry list I love Coffee Mate creamer and it's never made me sick or affected my health badly...everything in moderation
  23. I eat their rice mixes all the time and haven't had any issues... and I believe their gluten free products are made in a dedicated facility. I think most of their rice mixes do contain MSG though, that could be the culprit
  24. Velveeta is made by Kraft (who clearly labels all sources of gluten) and YES! Velveeta is gluten free
  25. If the bakery is advertised as gluten free, they are more than likely using gluten free oats as well. Not all people with a gluten intolerance also react to oats, as the previous poster said, and it's a little unreasonable, in my opinion, to expect every gluten free bakery to also exclude oats, since most of us *can* have them. I'm sorry you got sick, but...
