  1. Andrea-thanks for that link. That's pretty cool that they have something on there especially for celiacs. It makes it so much easier when companies do that
  2. That's true that some people are more sensitive than others. I also think that just because that research is out doesn't mean we should be careless and go eat gluten because gluten does cause damage reaction or not your intestine pays. Now if this research is true and some people can handle small amounts without the damage that's great but I personally am...
  3. Wow that is very rude of companies to even ask that. I have never had someone ask that but if they did I would tell them exactly what kvogt said....you can easily buy products from other companies. That is very sad that 3 offices have never heard of celiac. I wonder how many misdiagnosed celiacs have walked out of those buildings.
  4. Judy05-You can have celiac without the gene. Also 30% of people have the gene but not celiac at least yet. Does your doctor know alot about celiac or not? It sounds like my first doctor who kept telling me it was in my head. Had all the classic symptoms of celiac (which I didn't know about celiac at the time) and I was told I was healthy and normal so I changed...
  5. The Lays Staxx chips say are gluten free. I've even heard they are made on a dedicated gluten free line. MFS can contain gluten but it doesn't always you just have to check with the manufacturer. I eat Staxx all the time and I am sooo happy that they even have "this product is naturally free of gluten" right on it!!! They are starting to get it

    ARCHIVED New Celiac!

I would agree to stick with veggies and fruit until you know what is and whats not gluten free. Kraft and General Mills are 2 brands that will not hide anything on their labels so unless you see wheat, rye, barley,or oats on the label they are ok. It gets easier and we are here to help if you have any questions
  7. Thank you for contacting Neutrogena. Attached is a list of Neutrogena products free of gluten. Thank you for your comments on www.neutrogena.com. We appreciate your feedback. Please visit us again soon, as our website is constantly growing and changing. And don't forget to complete your Personal E-Valuation for customized skin care recommendations...
  8. Basically you have to let it rin its course but there are things you can do to help. I drink ginger, chamomile, and tummy mint teas when I get nausea from contamination which helps. I hope he feels better soon
  9. I need alot of sleep too. I like to get about 9 or 10 when I can. I get tired pretty easily but it's been so much better since going gluten-free. I can actually do normal things again
  10. My thyroid has been off since I had celiac yes. I first was hypo now it's hyper. It's still in beginning stages so my gland is still in the normal range it is just overactive.
  11. Leidenschaft-I would think it would be the whole Neutrogena line. They did not say in the email that it was just for the US. I would call and ask them if their products that are gluten free are worldwide. I would think they are but I am not positive
  12. michneva-If you go to the product section I posted a list of neutrogena products that are gluten free...if you like that brand you might be able to find something on the list you like.
  13. I requested a gluten free list from Neutrogena and they sent me this updated one today: Active Breathable Sunblock SPF 30 Active Breathable Sunblock SPF 45 Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Eliminating Peel Advanced Solutions Acne Therapy System Advanced Solutions Facial Peel Advanced Solutions Micro-Ocide Crystallized...
  14. I got that message too. I couldn't get on the board for a few hours.
  15. kabowman-I know which chips you are talking about. They are really good and they are alot healthier for you to because of the ingredients yet they have the same taste as other Ruffles. I have not had a reaction to those either
  16. I don't trust many doctors and GI doctors even ones that know about celiac can't really tell you all the stuff that contains gluten. This is something you pretty much have to learn. A celiac nutritionist may be able to help out with what you can eat but you could learn so much more on your own. You will learn what the good brands of foods and products to...
  17. Yea I personally think that of what I have found so far it is the closest thing to real pizza. It's not the same but it's really good. I always take enzymes with my food which helps because I eat fast too
  18. I eat Amy's gluten-free pizza all the time with no problem at all. I eat Amy's gluten-free mac and cheese too. I like the Amy's brand alot.
  19. Michneva-All of cover girl is not gluten free you have to contact them. I received an email from them that said if it is directly added they will put it on the label but they said they purchase their scents for fragranced products from many suppliers and that there could be traces. I have 1 covergirl lipstick that I got an ok on but I would definately check...
  20. A multi vitamin is a good thing to have...I would recommend a liquid vitamin because of the way it is absorbed by your body. I would also recommend probiotics .Probiotic bacteria favorably alter the intestinal microflora balance, inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, promote good digestion, boost immune function, and increase resistance to infection. I...
  21. Whether or not you react to it is not the issue. Some people don't get symptoms. That person who can tolerate a whole piece of bread may not feel anything but he/she intestine is paying for it and will not get better with having that gluten. It's not a matter of how sensitive you are if it is not gluten free it WILL cause damage...even crumbs
  22. Which rice krispies? They all contain barley in their malt flavoring and so do the rice krispy bars. Here is a link to the kellogg's dietary special needs list it states at the bottom that they contain barley in them... barley is off limits for us. Open Original Shared Link
  23. Yeah some have had trouble with it but from what I have heard is its ok and I have also had no problem with it. If you react to it though stay away from it of course. You are definately right about Kraft...I consider them the best celiac friendly company.
  24. I have never had a reaction to the Tostitos. I have never had a reaction to the gluten free stuff from frito lay. Not sure if they are made on a dedicated line.
  25. Whey has to do with milk not with gluten.
