  1. Do you have the forbidden list of foods and ingredients from this site? That would definitely help you as far as your question goes.
  2. You can start a new thread. The post will not be pinned until a moderator pins it so if you don't see it right away in the section you put it under, that's why.
  3. You have got good advice from the previous posters. I would see an allergist and get a number of tests done. If you get those kinds of reactions when eating certain foods I would avoid those foods in the meantime so it doesn't get worse or give you more problems.
  4. The only thing that is really bad for me has been cramps. They have got better since going gluten free and some months it will get really bad and other months it will be ok. I always seem to crave dairy when I am pmsing.
  5. Allergy testing does not pick up celiac. Celiac has its own panel that is done. I have a wheat allergy in addition to celiac so if you had a true allergy to wheat in addition then that would show up.
  6. Not safe at all.
  7. Quaker has had problems with cross contamination ....I do not trust them
  8. I have never had a problem with fruity or cocoa pebbles.
  9. I would definitely recommend getting your thyroid checked because some people can eat 5000 calories a day but not gain anything and even could lose weight with hyperthyroid.
  10. Some doctors just do not get it. I completely agree with Nisla. Do what would benefit your child.
  11. Some people feel better in days and for some it takes much longer. For me it took about 8 months to really see a difference. You should not be going back and forth on the diet because that will not only interfere with testing but also will damage your body. They say people who cheat even just once a month have the same damage to their system as someone who...
  12. I would totally avoid it!
  13. If you are eating that many calories and maintaining your weight most likely you are not getting enough calories to gain the weight. They usually tell you to up calorie intake like 250-500. Also, drink alot of water and go for high protein foods. My major is nutrition so if you have any questions you are welcome to email me and I will help you out. Also...
  14. I think you should go see a doctor about it. Even if it can be celiac related, that is not something normal so its always worth getting checked out.
  15. It can take some time to heal and I am sure you will start to see the weight gain. It took me like 5 or 6 months to see any real difference in my weight but since your child is younger, it may be sooner because younger diagnosed can sometimes have not as much damage. It sounds like she is doing good with her weight going up like that. Sometimes in the mornings...
  16. Have you looked into the thyroid? High heart rate can be associated with hyperthyroid.
  17. Hang in there, being glutened is no fun but be optimistic...at least you are not feeling like this all the time you know. I know exactly how you feel, being glutened feels like crap. I hope you feel better and get over this reaction very soon.
  18. I think L-glutamine is a really good thing for your body to help heal. I was on that for a while to promote the healing of the intestinal lining.
  19. Well going to the doctor may not mean much. Many doctors are not well versed in celiac and alot were taught of the supposed classic symptoms which they thought at the time. In fact, there are over 200 symptoms that can be associated so it is impossible to tell by symptoms. A complete blood panel should probably be run(EMA,tTG,IgA,IgG, Total Serum IgA) because...
  20. Some people gain instead of lose and when they gain usually doctors blow it off. Your symptoms sound like they could be celiac.
  21. I am sorry to hear about your breakup. I went through a nasty one and that wasn't even with a guy who I went out with for that long. Exercise is supposed to be really good for depression. I know I can't live without exercising because then I will get depressed. Hang in there
  22. I like Applegate Farms and Oscar Mayer
  23. I do not trust Quaker...they have alot of cross contamination issues. I have not had a problem with many brands when it comes to cross contamination but this brand I have had problems with.
  24. I love starbucks! Glad to hear that one is gluten free too....another thing for me to try.
