  1. Reactions are different among people. My reactions last a good 2 weeks but some last longer and some shorter.
  2. It does not have anything to do with gluten but it is very bad for you and cause some serious reactions.
  3. I was fooled about it at first and was told it was ok but it's not....so just eliminate it now.
  4. As said before, most are gluten free but the original nacho cheesier are not gluten free.
  5. Never had a problem with it
  6. I tried that recipe and it turned out great. Add some confectioners sugar on top and it tastes sooo good.
  7. Kraft will not hide anything and that is the maker of jell-o brand. Unless it says wheat, rye, barley, oats on the label then it is safe.
  8. Corn and rice gluten are fine. All grains I believe actually contain gluten but the structures are different and the only ones we can't have are wheat, rye, barley, and oats.
  9. Skittles as well as many other candies are gluten free.
  10. Keep in mind that a biopsy can rule celiac in but not out. A biopsy only takes samples of certain areas and there may be sporadic damage. Also, you would have to go back on gluten for a significant amount of time for it to even maybe show damage. At least 3 months eating equal to a few slices of bread a day and even if the biopsy came back negative you could...
  11. What blood tests did you get done? Some are more accurate. There should be 5 tests done...also a gene test is never a bad idea. Also, as far as a biopsy goes...a biopsy can rule celiac in but not out. You could very well have celiac still even with negative testing.
  12. I would stay away from wheat fields. Just another way to get glutened.
  13. Alot of effort is put into this site. Thank you Scott!

    ARCHIVED Taco Bell?

Bottom line to me is that if you eat anywhere that serves gluten then you always have a chance of getting glutened but some places are better than others. At these fast food places they hire people who could care less and know nothing about the special diets.
  15. If it is McCormicks then it is safe. Other brands may or may not be safe. The kind we use says gluten free right on it and you can generally find those at health food stores.
  16. Alot of the time people are lactose intolerant until their intestines heal. The tips of your villi are what digests the lactose so when they are damaged the lactose is not digested properly. Also, a week is not really enough time to get rid of all your symptoms. Took me about 8 months...some people take longer than that and some people don't take as long...
  17. I am the same way. I can eat my own version of things. My body knows that the stuff makes me sick so it doesn't want any of it.
  18. Green tea does sound really good. I heard the stuff they have at starbucks is delicious.
  19. I have heard about alot of inaccuracies as far as what is gluten free and what is not in the gluten free bible. I have also heard that the writer takes cheating sometimes not as seriously as she should.
  20. You know what they say...you may get worse before you get better. You will get better though and it sounds like you have already seen some improvement.

    ARCHIVED Sauna

We have a infrared sauna at home. Even though it may not get gluten out it may help you to sweat other toxins out.
  22. I was so happy to hear I can still have Cotton Candy. It is one of my favorite things to eat. Cotton Candy ice cream by Hershey's is great too.
  23. Glad that everything went well with your date. Will there be another one?
