  1. I used to eat them but now I avoid them because of the recent talk about it.
  2. I always check unless it is one of the awesome companies that will not hide anything.
  3. I don't have a baby yet but I would not give my child oats. You see, some people react and get intestinal damage from oats even if they are uncontaminated. The protein, avenin, is similar to that of wheat, rye, and barley. The oats in the US are pretty much all contaminated so I would definitely stay away from those, I would not recommend any though.
  4. Hang in there...it takes time. Took me 8 months of ups and downs to get pretty much back to normal but some people take less time and some people take more time. Depends on many factors.
  5. Some people get intestinal damage from even pure and uncontaminated oats. You see, the protein in oats, avenin, is similar and some react to it so if you eat oats I would recommend getting a followup bloodtest or biopsy(whichever way you were diagnosed) to see if you are in fact doing damage.
  6. I've always been a dreamer but I don't have as many nightmares now

  10. With everyone the time when they see a difference is different. I know I felt better after about 3 months but really didn't get back to normal for about 8 months or so. Some people see a difference pretty quickly though. Now, I know for DH it can take time to clear up so hang in there. Also, you need to watch gluten in products as mentioned before because...
  11. I have not had a problem with this brand and I definitely trust them from my experience. I am very sensitive and have not reacted.
  12. I love the Enzymatic Therapy brand
  13. I had horrible acne pre gluten free but since I have been on the diet I have really seen a dramatic change. I won't say it 100% cleared up but it cleared up alot.
  14. Remember a biopsy will rule celiac in but not out. If there is sporadic damage then they can miss it. Please keep this in mind. You should also not be gluten free until after testing.
  15. My mom and I both have low blood pressure. Never as low as you are saying though.
  16. You should check with every place that offers gluten free pizza. I am sure some places would have better policies and understanding than others.

  20. Does their website have any FAQ that may have that question or is there a number you could get either on the bag or on their website to call? Post all you want....I'm a postaholic sometimes too and alot of people are so no need to feel bad about that
  21. There should be 5 blood tests done( EMA, tTG, IgA, IgG, Total Serum IgA) They all have a place in testing so should really be done together. A gene test would also probably help. Some of those blood tests are very accurate and some doctors use the one test for diagnosis in kids. Biopsies can only rule celiac in and not out. They only get a few samples and...

    ARCHIVED Oooppss!

Everyone has accidents but if it was intentional thats really not ok. I hope you do not get a bad reaction and your intestines I hope heal very quickly. Maybe there is something you like to eat that you know you can have and kind of eat it whenever you have a craving for something you can't have.
  23. I have some lists if you need some suggestions on the good brands and safe brands that will not hide anything. I am glad to hear she is doing better. Unfortunately being careful with eating out is always a must for us so I am not sure I can help there. Although, there is some places that are completely gluten free and in those places we can have fun:)
  24. Can't say I have had that but I know of people that have had that.
  25. I have not done Enterolab but I have heard good things about it.
