  1. Yes, it is gluten free. If there is no wheat, rye, barley, oats specifically on the label then it is fine. Those questionable ingredients that we usually have to hunt down are not a problem with Kraft because they won't hide anything under those pesky ingredients.
  2. Yep the corn protein is gluten free. It is when they do not specify is when it can be a problem.

It may be something to try to see if it helps with symptoms after they have it but you can't see if its damaging your body you just see if it is masking the symptoms. I think people will think this is an oppurtunity to cheat when they still would do damage to themselves.
  4. I was told that all Snickers except the poppables are gluten free
  5. I did not feel alot better until the 3rd month. By the 8th month I was back to normal again though. It varies from person to person depending on damage, age, and so forth.
  6. Thats really dumb...what does she think no traces get in. That's just nasty..I would just find another job.
  7. Yeah, I understand about the military. They would not want to take on that liability and inconvenience. I don't think anything else would be prohibited due to the diet..o wait I'm wrong...you probably couldn't be a food tester for restaurants
  8. You don't have to be anemic to have celiac. Many people are not anemic..I know I was not. Your symptoms do sound like celiac-alot of them sound like me.Fatigue is actually the most common symptom. Its hard to tell from symptoms alone though because some to not get symptoms and there are over 200 symptoms associated with celiac and everyone has different...
  9. yea those are the ones.....there is a glutano brand and glutino brand so it is a bit confusing sometimes
  10. First, welcome to the board. Well at first it can take time to get used to. I thought I couldn'tdo it at first and it's understandable. I was healthy all growing up..then when I got mono at 15 I got all these symptoms and got my diagnosis sometime later and now avoiding gluten at 18 now,I am healthy again. You see with celiac you do not have to have symptoms...
  11. Glutano(There is a glutino brand and a glutano brand so its a bit confusing) makes them and so does Midel. Have not tried the Midel ones but I do like the Glutino ones
  12. It is still considered the gold standard but that will be changing in the near future. My GI doctor said " biopsies are so last year" lol...he said that there are better ways for diagnosis without being invasive. I think this will be something that happens in the near future. In some cases biopsies are good when in question though. I am not downplaying...

I'll bite my tongue this time too I hope you feel better and hopefully this helped you so you won't do it next time. *HUGS*
  14. Well if she did the complete panel then I think that would be sufficient. The tTG (a specific test for damage) is a great test and is beginning to take the place of biopsies in kids. If you plan on getting more testing though keep him on gluten
  15. No problem at all. I posted the link. The reason you could not find it is because a moderator did not pin it. I pinned it for you so it is right up there. When it is not pinned it can be viewed in the "Today's Active Post" section at the bottom.
  16. This sounds like it could be celiac. Do you know which tests he had done? Some are better than others for diagnosis. I got my good blood tests back within a week I believe.
  17. This is a duplicate post. Please do not respond here. Here is the link you should respond at Open Original Shared Link
  18. HAHA thats great My family would have probably dont the same thing...hey if your paying for it anyway you might as well get anything you can out of it.
  19. The Gluten Free Bible has many errors about what is and what is not gluten free. Do not believe what that book says because it has alot of inaccurate info that can be detrimental to new people to the diet.
  20. They may or may not go away but there are great substitutes. For everything that has gluten there is something that is gluten free. Kinnikinnick has gluten free bagels Foods by George has english muffins that are really good(I toast the cinnamon and put strawberry Kraft cream cheese on it-soo good) There are many good breads that we can have...
  21. Biopsies have been considered the gold standard for diagnosis but that is changing. Blood tests are becoming more sophisticated. The tTG test will be taking place of biopsies in kids coming up in the near future. Pegster-usually they will want to do a followup 6 months later to see if damage has healed if you had a biopsy to diagnose you. Diagnosis...

Nope you are not right at all. If something is contaminated then you will still get damage from it whether you feel it or not. Some people never get symptoms but get just as much damage. It will hurt you in the long run.
  23. no you can't have the wedding cake. It's wheat flour. Most flour used in these mainstream products are wheat. You can find out alot of what you can and can't have on this site and ask your fiance to help and support you. I'm sure it will be ok. https://www.celiac.com/st_main.html?p_catid=12 Here is a list of safe and forbidden ingredients. Gluten can...
  24. If you just had a endoscopy come back positive for celiac then there is no need for blood tests. Getting an endoscopy is still the gold standard for diagnosis even though there are some blood tests that are very accurate. Anyways, it may be overwhelming at first but it gets easier and I am sure it will not be a huge problem in the relationship if you...
