    ARCHIVED Probiotics

I also use probiotics all the time. They are extremely beneficial for the body. I take capsules every day. Right now I use Kyo-Dophilus probiotics. They work extremely well for me. I used to take Enzymatic Therapy but the ones I am on now seem to help me more. I think yogurt is beneficial and I eat alot that have probiotics in them but I find it not...
  2. They would only detect an allergy if there was a true allergy...maybe you are not allergic but are just sensitive to it...did you have an allergy or intolerance test done?
  3. Hey Nick Dr Green is supposed to be an excellent celiac doctor. He is considered one of the best. However, I did not see him personally but I have went to other doctors who thought it was in my head and I switched doctors a few times. If you did not like him though, then find a different doctor. How were you originally diagnosed? If you had...
  4. Yeah, get this...I was told this by someone..I was told it is a true story but I dont know.. This lady licked an envelope and cut her tongue...didn't really think anything of it right..and then she noticed her tongue got a really hard spot and it kept growing so she went to the doctor. Apparently, a cockroach or something had eggs on the envelope and then...
  5. Hang in there. Some people just don't know about celiac and they form some type of opinion before knowing facts. You know your right, and we know your right, and the facts PROVE you are right. I had people tell me "you don't have to be gluten free, just get treated for candida and it will go away" and that sort of thing. I feel bad for the people that...
  6. The symptoms do sound like those of celiac but it can be hard to tell for sure from that alone because there are over 200 symptoms with celiac and some people get none at all. You should probably at least be tested for celiac and request the complete panel which includes the following: Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG Anti-Endomysial...
  7. I don't lick envelopes. I will use a glue stick or a wet sponge but I've heard disgusting envelope stories from even people who are non celiac. They have so many germs
  8. I don't see any reason why she couldn't post
  9. For me I did not have D with it but I had other symptoms. It varies from person to person for how long it takes for symptoms to go away. My symptoms got significantly better after 3 months but it was a few more months after that until I was back to normal. For some people they can feel better within days...for others it can take months...it depends on how...
  10. Both of those candies are gluten free. 99.9% of the time these flavorings are gluten free but you still have to check when you see that unless it is a brand that will not hide anything, like Kraft.
  11. Yea, contact celiac3270. He is sending it to anyone who wants it. It is 79 pages long and just updated in April. There is also a thread on here where he explains how to get to it yourself if you would rather get it yourself.
  12. Yeah, I'm sure you can easily find out. If they are not, maybe calling or writing to the government to say they should have that law to make it easier for celiacs and then explain...it can't hurt
  13. yea, I forgot to mention....don't go gluten free before testing...that will make the results useless
  14. I think so, but I am not sure if they will do it elsewhere to...the bill that was passed would only be valid in the US I would assume..unless other countries started following our laws
  15. Yes, they sound like they could be celiac. It's hard to say though because over 200 symptoms can come with celiac and some people do not get any. Have you had a full celiac panel of bloodwork done? That includes the following: Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA Total...
  16. Wow...I think I would die trying to do that Tiffany!!!
  17. No problem...I can't take all the credit for the list though...I believe Richard(lovegrov) was the person who originally posted the list...I since updated it and to my knowledge it is accurate but as you know things can change so you may want to check every now and then. Alot of vinegar is safe and distilled vinegar is safe....the brands like Kraft would...

  19. They will list the top 8 allergens including wheat...but it will not cover rye, barley, or oats. It will help us at least a bit
  20. It is definitely possible to have celiac for a long period of time and not know about it. I think the average is 11 years until a diagnosis. You should get a full celiac panel to start with at the doctor. The full panel includes: Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA Total...
  21. Yes, kelloggs contains gluten but there are great alternatives. Envirokidz has some gluten free cereals(the ones that are gluten free are marked on the front) Also, fruity and cocoa pebbles by Post are gluten free
  22. There are soups that are gluten free that you can buy in stores that are like Campbells. I usually eat Chicken Rice soup by Sheltons...it says gluten free right on it. There are different brands out there of soups that are easy to just pop in to make when you are feeling bad. You can make soups too...my mom makes some really good soup but there are easy...

I also usually get the word out by mouth. I am very talkative about it and pretty much everyone I meet will know about celiac by the time I'm finished talking to them, whether they like it or not lol I am in the midst of contacting previous doctors(I'm going to be sending info about celiac to them too)...I've had mixed attitudes about the info. When...
  25. Yes, some of them have that label on it and some do not but they are all made on the dedicated line
