  1. I've been wanting coffee, too, but have been afraid to try it.
  2. Love it! I don't think I'd have the nerve to do it.
  3. Are you able to eat the Chex gluten free cereals?
  4. That's good to hear. I was having problems digesting them but wasn't sure if it was cc. I have since started taking the Creon, a prescription digestive enzyme. I've started adding more foods to my diet and haven't had any problems. I still have a few cans of Blue Diamond natural almonds but I've been leary of trying them. One of these days I'll give...
  5. How much mashed banana do you add to recipe? I'd like to try it but want to make sure I have the right amount of all the ingredients. Do you change the amount of any of the other ingredients?
  6. Were you tested for fat malabsorption? After three years of diarrhea and being gluten free for about two of them, I had lots of blood and stool tests, a colonoscopy, endoscopy, CAT scan of pancreas and hydrogen breath tests for fructose malabsorption, lactose intolerance and small intestine bacterial overgrowth. Everything came back negative except for...
  7. Are they going to continue making both kinds? I thought the gluten free ones were replacing those with gluten. It's going to be pretty confusing if they have both. I checked at the local Walmart today and only saw those with gluten.
  8. Blue Diamond almonds are not safe for everyone. They make a wasabi and soy sauce variety that has wheat in the soy sauce. There is a chance of cross contamination with their plain almonds and other flavored ones.
  9. Six weeks! That is terrible. Are you able to stay healthy in a shared house in you are extremely careful?
  10. I've often thought of cheating with just a bread crumb to find out of my current symptoms are from cc or something else. Too scared to do it.
  11. I had the test done about six weeks ago and mine was negative. It is so hard to figure out what causes all our symptoms. Wish it would be so much easier.
  12. Roda, I just got a call from my doctor's office that Pancrecarb is no longer being manufactured so he prescribed Creon. I hope I have luck with it. What do you eat now? Any prepackaged foods? How about rice? I feel my diet is way too limited right now.
  13. I'm guessing that Pancrecarb is similar to Creon. I couldn't find online what pharmeucital company manufactures it.
  14. I've checked online for the gluten free status of this medication and wan't able to come up with an answer. I'll check with my drugstore once they get it and are able to fill the prescription. I just want to be ahead of the game. I suffer from fat malabsorption. Pancrecarb is the first digestive enzyme I've been prescribed. I've tried a few gluten...
  15. My guess is that it would be corn starch.
  16. Are M&Ms safe now that they manufacture pretzel M&Ms? I'm wondering if they are made in the safe facility and there could be cc issues.
  17. I had the test done twice, about 18 months apart. The first time gluten didn't show up. I reacted to about 25-30 foods. I went on a strict four day rotation diet. I felt somewhat better for a while but that didn't last. Once I found out gluten was an issue through other testing, I had the the more extensive Al Cat test done. This time I reacted to about...
  18. Jello contains msg? That's news to me. I normally avoid it because of the artificial flavoring and coloring.
  19. The past two holidays I've eaten at home and gone to my inlaws when they are done eating. Even though we're taking a gluten free ham, I may do the same this holiday. I can just cut off a few hunks for me and have my husband take the rest of it over there. It is hard for me to watch everyone else pig out on foods I can't eat. I don't think anyone misses...
  20. Just picked up the book and started reading through some of it. What I found out so far is that I should eat a lot of soy, which I am intolerant to. Peanuts are another food that I'm not sure I can handle and they are suppose to be good, too.
  21. I just reserved this book at my library. I'm an A- blood type.
  22. hhdavid, I don't have an answer for you about your cookware but instead have a few questions as i still need pointers on living in a shared house. Are you sensitive to cross contamination? Do you use separate plates, silverware, etc.? Do you share hand towels? I make sure all dishes are rinsed before going in the dishwasher and only I unpack it...
  23. I think anything put on your face could easily get into your mouth.
  24. I hadn't heard up until now that probiotics can be bad for someone with pancreatic problems. Right now I'm doctoring to try to figure out if my pancreas is working properly. I think I'll quit my probiotics for a while and see if I notice any improvement.
  25. I am mainly eating chicken, olive oil, coconut oil, brown rice, almonds, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans and peas. Whenever I try expanding to more foods, I run into problems. I've tried giving up rice a few times and it hasn't seemed to make a difference. I really don't know how I'd stay full without it. Potatoes, sweet potatoes and dried beans...
