i have been using dove for my soap and for lotion i have been using burt's bees baby lotion. bare escentuals is pricey but they have gluten free makeup and skin care. for less expensive i have heard that garnier (not sure if that is spelled right) products have a lot of gluten free but check labels of course. and i will check into those after i have depleted... -

i was diagnosed with celiac and have been gluten free since jan of this year (with the exception of some accidental cc's and a few weeks of a gluten challenge). i am being told my hair is looking thicker. i personally feel like there is not much improvement up there yet. i did notice in may when i did the challenge that i was losing gobs of hair and after... -

ARCHIVED Can Ab Workouts Aggravate Intestinal Inflammation?
bluebonnet replied to bridgetm's topic in Sports and Fitness
i've been trying to do more crunches/ab workouts but i always feel this weird pulling sensation during and after. now that i know i have a hiatal hernia i'm not sure if that was the pain i felt or if i should continue to do situps. its definitely something more than me feeling the burn from a good workout. -

bluebonnet replied to mommyto3's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
my bf is going thru these attacks as well. she had a couple of tests that revealed no sludge or stones but her doctor said the tests are inconclusive and that her gall bladder may not be functioning properly. definitely try a strict gluten free diet and see if you notice improvement. my bf also for months went completely low fat/no fat and she was told... -

ARCHIVED Very Different Side Effects From Getting Glutened
bluebonnet replied to Harley9999's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
i have major bloating and messed up bowels but the joint pain can be downright miserable. if i get them together i know i must have gotten cc. i try very hard daily to make sure what i'm eating is gluten free. so far there have only been a couple of times where i REALLY badly wanted something off limits but the craving passes ... especially if you focus... -
ARCHIVED Nathans Hotdogs
bluebonnet replied to ejitt00's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
your definitely right about the sorbitol. breath mints, gum, cereal would all give me a stomach ache. have you tried the boar's head brand of hot dogs? they have skinless and aren't greasy. they do of course have the nitrates/ nitrites but great flavor (which is why we always bought the nathan's). -

ARCHIVED Help..please
bluebonnet replied to CarolinaKip's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
burt's bees tinted lip balms have fun color and gluten free. i also like their baby bee body lotion. (target) bare minerals and smash box are gluten free too. (sephora) if you tend to wash your hands a lot nutragena hand cream is nice. (target) for hair i've been using "surface" line from shampoo/conditioner to the gel and hairspray. (available in salons... -

i too was super tired just after going gluten free. i went to bed hours earlier than i normally did and just felt like i was dragging all day. if i closed my eyes i felt like i could immediately fall asleep ... if only for a short little nap. i figured it was because of my insomnia but after seraching around here i found out others had the same type of... -

ARCHIVED Gluten-Free And Constipated - Help
bluebonnet replied to Melindaki's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
definitely drink up the water for ease but i have to say if you aren't allergic to them ... chickpeas! lots of good fiber in them and just being honest here, they move things along. throw 'em on your salad or eat them on their own or as a side dish. here's how i like 'em: preheat oven to 400 glass pie pan/pryrex baking dish 1 can drained...
