  1. wow ... i know a few people that have had great success with ablation (as in no more racing or skipping beats!!) i often wonder what is goin on with mine though, especially when doing something like push ups makes my *skin* hurt to the touch right in the middle of my chest ... possibly inflammation from the push ups and years of undiagnosised celiac?? anyone...
  2. my experience - its absolutely terrifying when it happens. i have dealt with the irregular/hard/fast beating for 14 years. i have had numerous tests done too. i wore a monitor for 1 month straight one time. they told me that ablation would help correct it (like kenlove said he had). i usually have pretty good bp. (i check it often with a home machine...
  3. based on what i researched on various sites (i've got that going on too), it seems to be mucous. i scheduled a dr. appt but wont be able to be seen for a couple of months so i'm hoping its related to my body trying to repair itself.
  4. my mom took d3 at 50,000 3x week and now once a week. she felt better and noticed a major difference as time went on! she was very nervous about taking such a large step out dose but didn't have any problems at all.
  5. i felt just as horrible after a cross contamination from eggs and a grill and then a different occassion accidentally tasting a bite of something with gluten. i got ibs for a week and my joint pain got intense. not to mention sleep/insomnia worse. and it seems like it is harder to recover from these incidents. i don't understand it. feeling like i...
  6. don't give up ... it will take much longer than a month! definitely agree with others about checking different sources for possible contamination. i'm into my 2nd month and have been glutened accidentally 3x's and feel miserable!! now i have to "start over" ... which will be the story from here on. try to stay positive and be extremely careful with food...
  7. i had d & c combo but i had major bloating (i was just accidentally glutened after 2 months free and my stomach stayed bloated 3" for 6 days. crazy.
  8. i have been gluten free for 2 months with a couple of accidents (one i'm still feeling horrible from day 3!) anyway, i have over the years noticed an oily film when i pee, never any pain (this is gross i know) and had different tests done with things being normal. i thought maybe it would go away soon since enterolab told me when i called to discuss lab...
  9. blood tests often come back false negative regardless if you've already started a gluten free diet or not. and don't listen to just 1 doctor. it sounds like you could definitely have an intolerance. my first test came back negative and my second positive along with the genetic testing with dq2 and 8. for your physical and mental health keep working...
  10. about a week into my gluten free living i couldn't figure out what made me sick and this site said to check my hand lotion ... which ended up having a hydrolyzed wheat protein in it. i was eating popcorn so my thinking was that the residual lotion glutened me. its up to you but there have been a few posts on here about being inadvertently glutened...
  11. i have never heard of natural thyroid! thanks for the website link... gonna look into it. did you have a hard time adjusting when you made the switch??
  12. i noticed i was crazy thirsty all the time no matter how much water i drank! its starting to even out now. (its been just about 2 months for me). i can't deal with eggs all the time but for on the go i like to make a peanut butter (all natural of course) and sliced banana rice cake sandwich. not bad for a quickie since you get a fruit and protein and its...
  13. i have taken a few different types of thyroid meds over the last 17 years. synthyroid wasn't a good fit for me. i liked the armour and felt better but i felt uncomfortable taking it just for the reason it was derived from pigs. (this is my own hang up but like i said i did feel better on that then i did with synthroid). now i am on levothyroxine and it...
  14. oh i know. it has been over a month for me and then i somehow ate something a couple of days ago because i am miserable. i just want to cleanse my system. i don't know if someone didn't clean something properly or what. i'm the only one gluten free but i'm afraid the husband or boys might have not been as careful as i would be cleaning up. i absolutely...
  15. i was told it had something to do with blood sugar levels. if they drop to low or whatever it tends to cause dizziness and blurry vision. i don't have diabetes but it does make sense. hope you feel better!
  16. i heard this too and i know it was a mineral supplement. i record dr oz so i will look back and see if i didn't delete it!
  17. bone and joint pain where one of my mysterious ailments til discovering celiac. i am 6.5 weeks into gluten free and i'm still waiting for the pain to go away. i hear it takes several months. but hopefully you will feel better soon from the accidental glutening. drink lots of water and/or maybe try steeping fresh ginger root into a tea (if you can eat...
  18. i sometimes have these really quick specs or dots of a bright spot that go as fast as it came. i have several floaters. i also have had those ocular migranes where my eyes get really freaky vision and blackness going on. i have the "sparkly vision" sometimes too when i look at a bright sky or a white piece of paper... almost like fizzling fireworks. i...
  19. hypothyroid first, celiac years later.
  20. yes!! ... and i think its so strange because i never craved anything salty and pretty much avoided it purposely! now though i find myself wanting it. wierd.
  21. i have ringing in my ears. i did a search before being confirmed for celiac and the main reasons i found were to be loud noises/damage, ms, celiac and medication reactions. i was very afraid i had ms because i also had numbness/tingling. when i found out i had celiac i kinda assumed its a symptom from that. its been 6 weeks and i am still dealing with...
  22. i was about to start prilosec because pepto doesn't help at all. the weird thing is my indigestion/heartburn actually seems worse since going gluten free (which has been 6 weeks now). go figure. i hope lymphocytic gastritis is curable ... it sounds scary and painful.
  23. i try to get my sun exposure daily and i've always supplemented with a dry d3 (after this post i hear dry is not good). my mom had to take 50,000 for 3 months and her levels finally went up. mine are 25 right now with 30 being the cut off. you're saying if i take the cod liver oil supplement i would get my d3 and not need a fish oil supplement?
  24. i just got my results today and i need to start b12 and d. maybe ... hoping ... fingers crossed after b levels go up that i will start getting sleep now! the step out doses needed sound scary though.
