  1. Welcome to the forum krisbeth. Your symptoms sound just as serious as anyone else. Don't discount them, something has been going on with you and you need to find out what that is. I would recommened you get a celiac panel done along with vitamin and mineral testing. A lot of people have thyroid issues too, so get that checked. Please keep us updated and...
  2. What types of recipes are you looking for? No. Small amounts of gluten are not ok. If you keep ingesting it you will keep doing damage to yourself.
  3. There is some good information here Open Original Shared Link I am not sure about lack of breast tissue but it could be from not absorbing a certain nutrient. I think anything is possible with celiac.
  4. Hi mcbeez. That had to be hard to go back to eating gluten again. It sounds like your Dr. is trying to help you and it's good to hear you are headed in the right direction. "My mother and uncle had Celiac as children and were fortunate enough to outgrow it" This used to be believed to happen. If you have celiac you will always have celiac. It is...
  5. I wanted to add something good too. I had called about Kroger ground beef, because the people at the store did not know what the added ingredient was , the very nice lady put me on hold to speak to the dietician and told me they added rosemary oil and it was gluten-free.
  6. Welcome to the forum 12451j. Sorry to hear you have celiac. You have come to a great place with a lot of great people! Read as much as you can and ask anything you need to. I am not from your area so I can't help you there, sorry.
  7. Hi Xabbar. In short, yes. He could still have celiac disease. The small intestine has quite a large surface area and if the Dr. didn't take samples from the area with damage, or not enough samples, most likely they will not find anything. It is also very possible he may not have enough damage, yet. Do you know if he had blood testing for celiac? It is...

  10. See if you might be interested in the book Living Gluten Free for Dummies. My sister got me mine for my b-day and I have enjoyed it. There are a some recipes and lots of good information. My son likes when I make chicken tenders and coat them with his melted butter and seasoned cornmeal and bake them in the oven. Some people even use crushed corn chex for...
  11. We went for a celebration dinner, there were nine of us eating out of three pots. I was very worried how this was going to work. I was told the pot on our end would be the gluten-free pot. We started with spinach and artichoke cheese fondue. They brought us sour apples and some veggies, luckily I was able to get several bites before my mom dipped her bread...
  12. Gluten is in wheat and barley and rye and contaiminated oats. I will not eat at ours because the service and the food is so bad.
  13. Welcome to the forum Lisa. Did the Dr. do any other tests and do you have copies of the tests? Have they tested vitamin levels? You could also do stool testing to see if there is something going on (parasites, fat in stool, etc). The Dr. can order this for you. Celiac tests: Anti-gliadin antibodies (AGA) both IgA and IgG Anti-endomysial antibodies...
  14. I am not the best with these numbers so I hope someone else can help. About the kissing, get him to brush and rinse really well before you kiss. I don't think he will mind if it helps you get better. Since you just found out about the cookware, I would give it some more time.
  15. Hi mcbeez. Celiac tests: Anti-gliadin antibodies (AGA) both IgA and IgG Anti-endomysial antibodies (EMA) - IgA Anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies (tTG) - IgA Total IgA level Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) Antibodies, IgA & IgG
  16. Welcome to the forum Laura. You said you had some tests that were positive? Do you have the numbers and ranges so that you could post them. There are people here that are good at understanding them. Did the gastro take any biopsies when you had the endo? I think you should give it more time, at least three months. Have you replaced scratched non-stick cookware...
  17. I saw these at the regular grocery store today. Has anyone tried them? Open Original Shared Link

Something I have made for the pizza craving Glutino pizza crust cut into 'bread sticks' coat with a small amount of oilve oil, a little garlic powder, some parm cheese and those hormel mini pepperoni or cut the large ones in half. Bake at 425 for about 5-10 min until crispy and dip in pizza sauce or favorite tomato...
  19. These are spices I use for tacos and chili. I do not measure, I just smell and taste until I get it right. I used to always buy the McCormick too. Chili Powder Garlic Powder Onion Powder Ground Red Pepper Ground Oregano Paprika Ground Cumin Sea Salt Black Pepper Corn Starch (for thickening)
  20. Welcome to the forum athome1998. While you are having blood drawn you might want to go ahead and get vitamin and mineral levels checked too. I think the main one's are A, B's, D, E and iron. K might be one too. Celiac tests: Anti-gliadin antibodies (AGA) both IgA and IgG Anti-endomysial antibodies (EMA) - IgA Anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies...
  21. A lot of companies have good lists on their websites. Kettle chips has some gluten-free, I am not sure if all of the flavors are. Jello is gluten-free, Frito-lay has lists on their website. Some Hormel products are labeled gluten-free. We like Blue Diamond Nut Thins, Fruit Roll Ups and freeze dried apples, I find those at wal-mart in the dried fruit section...

  23. Welcome to the forum SaraNade. Be sure to keep reading and ask lots of questions. I've never been a pooper; I'm quite famous for going up to a week without making even one deposit at the porcelain bank. When I DID go, it would often be, uhm, of the loose change variety. This had me cracking up!
  24. That sounds like a good start. I hope you can find some answers for his problems. My son also complained of stomaches daily, among other things, and would not eat very much. After his Dr. sent us for celiac testing, I looked it up and ended up here. I read and read and read some more and knew this had to be his problem. This is to be taken as advice only...
  25. That is what some Dr.s call celiac disease. Looks you tested positive for it. Make sure to get copies of your blood work from the Dr.
