  1. Just to make it a bit more allergy friendly I would skip the sesame seeds and the soy junk. I am sure there are lots of recipes on the web you could find and experiment with. Perhaps there is a gluten-free bakery in your area that you could get the rolls from? That would make them safer assuming you handled the sandwich ingredients and assembly of the...
  2. Just a heads up a this was posted 2 years ago. A positive Celiac blood test does not indicate non- Celiac gluten intolerance. There aren't any medically reliable blood tests for that. Most likely what happens is a doctor doesn't so enough biopsied to find the damage. Encourage your doctor to do at least 6 - more is better. Also, continue to eat gluten...
  3. Maybe they would let you get all your own food first, before it is set out for the others? To avoid someone dropping a gluteny roll or spoonful of dressing into the safe mashed potatoes? That is if you believe the food is safe. Do bring an emergency back-up food - just in case.
  4. Sounds fine to me. Mike's has always said it was a malted beverage. Recently they are saying "gluten removed" and the article explains the problems with that. What part didn't you understand?
  5. You could have driven up here! Pizza night Wed...... Drive up tomorrow!
  6. We had Thanksgiving yesterday at our house. We had smoked turkey, crockpot scalloped potatoes, cheesy corn, corn bread, spinach with bacon, gingered carrots, cranberry - all gluten-free. Then my sis brought gluteny pies for everyone. this is OK because we clear the other food away and it is one less thing for me to make. I decided I wanted Boozy Pudding...
  7. While you are having a new outbreak, maybe you should go to a dermatologist and get them biopsied. Make sure it really is DH. Sounds like it might be a reaction to the pool water? Maybe you have something else going on that you could fix.
  8. Everyone who reads this - Heads up! All the previous posts on this thread are 9 years old. Ingredients and manufacturing processes change over that many years. Please re-check the info for yourself.
  9. Please don't eat sour dough bread. I don't have the time right now, but there is reputable info about it. There is still gluten in the bread. And flour is flour....
  10. I guess I missed something. I only saw that you ate gluten for 2 days. If you did a proper gluten challenge before your blood tests and endoscopic biopsy, then you probably don't have Celiac at this point.
  11. I thought you said you weren't eating gluten? Please read the link I sent. That site has lots of good info.
  12. Open Original Shared Link So you don't know if you have Celiac or not.
  13. I don't see how you could know that you don't have Celiac. You were tested while being gluten free. You need to be eating gluten to test for Celiac disease - blood ot biopsy
  14. Sorghum works very well.
  15. Open Original Shared Link You don't need to add the cheese to a pizza crust. We use the focaccia or the pizza crust ones for pizza
  16. Not for the dairy intolerant. Open Original Shared Link
  17. I understood what you meant.
  18. What do you think? Seriously - what are you smoking? I am not sure how you could study smoking pot 5 times a day. Also, watch for gluten in your drinks - no regular beer or malt beverages. Could you go to a party and drink in moderation for a while? Keep a Coke or Gatorade in your hand to sip on between drinks?
  19. Just be aware, the info on this thread is several years old and brought current by a poster - so be sure to check the ingredients as product change over the years.
  20. 2 of his daughters actually.
  21. I think it depends on the food processor. If you feel you can get the crevices clean, use it!
  22. I have talked to them. It is shipped frozen from Denver. Then, some stores put it on the shelf and it thaws. The WF by me does that. I usually ask for a frozen one from the back. I think it's better to have less thaw and freeze cycles
  23. I have seen it in regular groceries, whole Foods, and even Target - frozen. If someone really wanted to try it, they could contact the company or use the locator on the website and find out who carries it in their area.
  24. The fact is - if you have a special diet, you need to make sure you have the food that you can eat. In the case of a medically necessary diet - one should not trust that others understand how to make you food and keep you safe. I think this friend just wants attention or to find something to be mad about? If it weren't Celiac, it would be something...
  25. That was funny! I just serve a bunch of things and hope people can eat one or 2. I do tend toward the cheesy (I am talking about food this time). I always have to struggle to make a few things for the lactose intolerant.
