  1. If you don't need a large turkey - get a turkey breast. Cook it in your crockpot. Fill the cavity with a stick of butter. Put a little water in the bottom of the crock. Season with some Poultry seasonings. I like the Litehouse freeze dried ones. The moistest turkey ever!
  2. There is no glue of any kind in tea bags. They are heat sealed. Wheat would dissolve in hot liquid. You can find someone that will tell you just about everything has gluten - I have even seen people insist water does.
  3. You address and such doesn't show. Look at other people's profiles by clicking on them and you will not see their personal info.
  4. I can't find it right now. I know that at a year it was still a little bit positive but for someone who may have had Celiac for many years, that seems to be normal. Of course the GP who took the blood work thought I didn't know what I was doing (he didn't know anything about Celiac).
  5. Whatever they want to call it - I am just trying to give you some info so you can ask the right questions.
  6. endoscopy is the top half - colonoscopy is the bottom half. The camera will not be taking any biopsies of the upper intestine (i would check on that if I were you). These biopsies are needed to diagnose Celiac disease. Usually a gastroscopy is for the throat, stomach and maybe a few inches of the small intestine. You might want to check that, too.
  7. They may have an Orangina only site? In the US, they are part Dr Pepper. It is different for different countries. The ingredients may be different, too.
  8. That's just an advertisement not a legitimate medical review/study.
  9. It's been a while. I'll look that up tomorrow. If I haven't posted back here by this time tomorrow - pm me to remind me. I won't be mad, I just forget.
  10. Honey, I have sooooo many things to comment on from my own experience. Part of what I am going to say is - brush it off. And - let the Bf deal with his own parents. Sometimes we give random comments more importance than we should. And maybe Dad doesn't realize Celiac is more like a non-life threatening allergy to a food. We take it seriously, but it...
  11. Sometimes mixes are helpful. They blend the 5 different flours together. Try a few of those to start. A lot of people like King Arthur and Pamela and gluten-free Bisquick. And there are others. Betty Crocker makes a great gluten-free brownie mix. I have posted a couple of easy cookie recipes. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/105434-cookie-recipes/
  12. This would be a person I couldn't be around much.
  13. What flour mixture did you use? That can make a big difference.
  14. I haven't had any lately. I bet it is. What are the ingredients? Open Original Shared Link The allergen listing is a bit odd - it lists which products contain which allergens. Orangina doesn't show on any of them.
  15. I have never seen a label say " yeast which is not Brewers yeast". Occasionally, on some uncommon products, I have seen " Brewers yeast".
  16. Yeast isn't made with wheat - yeast is a living organism.
  17. Open Original Shared Link They say that they test below 10 ppm.
  18. I think it depends on what you are having done? Blood or endo? Open Original Shared Link
  19. We go to Costco. I like to get my Crunchmaster crackers there. When they were out, I used my friends card and got them at Sams. Both Sams and Costco have a lot of good gluten-free things - fruit, meat, hummus, salsa, cheese, salami, some have gluten-free pasta, PB, much cheaper almond butter, chips, usually sever types of crackers, yogurt, dairy,...
  20. Hub grilled some chicken a couple of days ago - so we used it to make a nice salad with a spicy peanut dressing! Tonight we will use it for nachos. Tomorrow night, we are making pizza!
  21. A vitamin won't cure or heal Celiac disease. The only way to " manage" Celiac disease is the gluten free diet. Get tested before you go gluten free.
  22. That's rough. But you don't know for certain you can not "have" kids. So try not to dwell on that too much, yet. Even if you can't physically have kids, there are lots of ways to 'have" kids. That is something you can deal with when and if that comes up. If you are very depressed, seeing a doctor for some help is a great idea! Maybe even some medicine...
  23. I meant - why not help her to request the report? Or go with her to the doctor. No memory after anesthesia is normal. That is why they ask for a family member to be there to hear what the doctor said and drive the patient home. Maybe the person who was with her would remember?
  24. Why not ask the doctor? Or request the procedure report and the pathology (biopsy) report? Usually you need the microscopic biopsy report to diagnose Celiac. After anesthesia, people often can't remember.
