    ARCHIVED Starbucks

Just had an iced latte this morning!
  3. I asked about the MD because so many people go to Chiropracters/naturalpaths. They have their own agenda and test that they get referral fees for, etc that have no scientific basis.
  4. I don't think those are Celiac blood tests. Did you go to an MD? Open Original Shared Link
  5. I think there are a couple in the US Open Original Shared Link
  6. You can have a Celiac gene. It does not mean you have Celiac at this time. Open Original Shared Link
  7. The poster has no symptoms and negative tests. One gene does not mean you have Celiac disease. The proteins we call gluten do not "burn" your stomach or intestines. They cause your body to produce antibodies that attack the small intestine. I am going to recommend you read some reliable info about Celiac disease before posting again. Unless you...
  8. Here's the one I was looking for: After going gluten-free, can a positive tTG mean anything other than gluten present in my diet? tTG normalizes slowly when on a strict gluten-free diet. This process may take years if the starting level is very high. If tTG is still high after a long time, aside from gluten sneaking into one’s diet, this may simply m...
  9. Seems good. You have no idea how high they really were - 101 or 500. It can take time for them to go down. I bet they will be back to about "normal" in 6 months. The normal number will depend on the lab - they use different measures sometimes. It should say on the lab result page what normal is. "The gluten-free diet is a lifetime requirement...
  10. I doubt a dentist would give out that letter. I hope they wouldn't without verifying the info. In fact, they should probably have it written by the Celiac Center if they are going to go any further than saying "We see teeth problems like these, sometimes in Celiac patients. You might want to check with your doctor". A dentist should not be giving out...
  11. I invested in some backpacking pans. They are lighter weight and all fit inside each other so I could take them on an airplane in a suitcase. About $75 or up to get the bigger size and good ones. They have little holes in the lid so you can drain pasta without the colander. Open Original Shared Link I also got these foil grill pans at Walmart...
  12. I know this "no added sugar diet" is all the rage right now. I am sure there are lots of places to get info on it. Maybe Katie Couric's TV shoe website has info on it. I saw Katie Couric was doing it. She still seemed to be eating a lot of sugar - more fruits, etc than usual. But I guess the point of it is no added sugar? You already seem so restricted...
  13. What do you mean nuts that say " g on them "? Obviously, if you mean they say they have gluten....that would be bad.
  14. We went kayaking today. Had a nice couple of hours. Saw a heron, red winged black birds, a bird coming out of a nest in a hole in a dead tree, some other birds, turtles, etc.
  15. The point of ointment/ goo is it gives you a good barrier. So a little leakage doesn't touch the skin.
  16. I haven't figured out what I might be eating that does this occasionally - I think it's just when I don't eat in my " usual" fashion. One thing that helps the pain is - wash well after some leakage. Then put diaper cream or vasoline on the ouchy area. A little gooey on the underwear - but it washes out.
  17. I don't think sweet potatoes are nightshades? You might want to check your list of foods. No need to eliminate things just for the fun of it!
  18. I am not sure what post you are responding to. This poster isn't diagnosed. Having a Celiac gene does not mean you have celiac. About 30% of the population has a Celiac gene, yet only about 1% of the population has Celiac. Celiac does not " degrade" the stomach. celiac is a disease of the small intestine.
  19. Because she is talking about HER experience? There are others on here trying to share their experiences with the thought that it might be helpful to you. That's part of a forum. If being " paleo" makes you feel bad, maybe you shouldn't do that diet?
  20. Outback Steakhouse has a very good gluten free reputation. I eat there and many others do too.
  21. Tylenol with codeine is listed as gluten-free.
  22. I saw your other post.... You aren't actually diagnosed with anything, right? That might be why they aren't taking it seriously?
