  1. Good! Open Original Shared Link Seriously, There is no reason not to have coffee on a gluten free diet. It has never been on the forbidden foods list as it does not contain gluten. Now coffee does bother some people, Celiac or not. The acid in it can be hard on the stomach or the caffeine bothers people. If that is the case, don't drink...
  2. Why did you edit out your posts? I didn't see anything wrong with them - no identifying info, nothing inappropriate, etc. Just a legitimate complaint about a doctor that wasn't treating you well.
  3. Here is the whole page with what is 60% off. Looks like green stripes or dots, too http://www.myrume.com/SearchResultGrid.aspx?CategoryID=137&PK=ac3c3702-0750-4284-94ac-af2c412c63d8
  4. Cookie Pie Crust 2 cups gluten-free ginger snaps (35 to 38 cookies) 2 Tbsp sugar 1/3 cup cold butter or margarine, diced small 1 Tbsp rice flour or baking mix Preheat oven to 350. Put cookies, rice flour and sugar into a food processor or blender and pulse until you have fine crumbs. Add butter and pulse until it forms clumps. Lightly...
  5. The cutting boards are only $24 with the discount code. FYI. Last night we had - grilled pork chops, black rice with some parm on top, seasoned with a little garlic and onion powder and basil olive oil, salad, homemade applesauce, brownies with ganache and raspberries and champagne.
  6. I think you could get your initial, too. I wish it were red as that is the color of gluten-free in our house.
  7. I have seen gluten free gravy mixes (powdered) and I think a can/juice box packaging. Here is one I have seen at Hyvee. Open Original Shared Link
  8. If you look, you will find people with issues with any food you can think of. That doesn't mean you will have them. Relax. Eat as simply as you can for a few months. Give yourself a chance to heal and your body to adjust to this new way of eating. If a food seems to bother you, don't eat it for a few weeks and then try it again. Foods with a lot of...
  9. These recipes inserted every which way gets confusing. Can't find them when you want them! Open Original Shared Link Has nothing to do with anything but thought this was funny.
  10. I forgot. I get the coconut body lotion at whole foods. https://www.desertessence.com/gluten-free
  11. Some people have problems with corn. Its gluten free but seems to be hard to digest. In the beginning, it can be hard to know what is an issue. With Celiac, your intestine is damaged and has a hard time with food. You could try to eliminate corn as much as possible and see if you feel better. You may be able to eat it again in a few months after your...
  12. 13. When I type up recipes, I try to make them very simple because some people are trying to learn to cook. Also, this way I don't have to re-type them for my boys or my SIL or niece that need lots of directions.
  14. The cat senses any time someone thinks of ham and here she is trying to help with this recipe! Cheesy Corn Bake 2 Tbps margarine/butter 4 tsp gluten-free Flour (AP or rice) 1/8 tea garlic powder ¾ cup milk 6 oz shredded American Cheese (get the good stuff, not Kraft singles) 3 oz cream cheese, cut up 3 (10 oz) packs of frozen corn 3...

  16. I'm putting my recipes over on Colleen's thread where they belong!
  17. Tropocol is highly refined and should not have any gluten in it. I just look for the obvious things like wheat germ oil. I don't worry about products that might not get into my mouth. I don't have a wheat allergy, just celiac. I like CeraVE for lotion.
  18. About all that seems to show is a small bit of reflux. That was 10 years ago, so it's not really relevant to today.
  19. Our Penzys is next to an olive oil store and a Ten Thousand Villages. You can't get off that block for less than $100.

Let us know how you feel tomorrow.
  21. I need to type it out. Bug me tomorrow if I haven't put it on.
  22. I love Penzy's spices. Pure spices should not be a concern. Unless you used the flour spoon in the cinnamon.
  23. Just an FYI- you can make bread crumbs in a blender. Can you eat cheese? I have a great cheesy corn recipe that a local BBQ place is known for.
  24. They are making a lot of money off their odd cures and conspiracy theories. I feel bad for people who can't see that those aren't "real" doctors or researchers. Tell her you will follow the advice of the Celiac Center doctors and researchers and would be happy to refer her to some reputable websites about the disease and info for chefs who would like...
  25. This doesn't sound like something they teach in cooking schools. This food combining theory is something quacks use to sell weight loss books. I bet she just got it somewhere like that. Who knows what she wrote a paper on? I imagine the quality of writing in a cooking school is lower than in ,say a college writing class. Maybe they had to research a...
