  1. The original poster's question has nothing to do with your "theories" about omega fats and cancer. I'm sure there are forums where you can discuss those. Maybe you could start a topic in the gab chat section for discussions on other topics? Back to the OP's question - Sorry your question got lost in here. Sure, an intolerance to eggs or soy or...
  2. I don't know if she sits on the bottom of the tub or a mat. My kids loved baths but didn't like the slippery bottom. They sat on a rubbery, non- slip mat for a long time. Or maybe she would like to take a shower with you? One of mine loved that. I used a cup to rinse his hair and let him play with the cup and water. He just sat on the floor away from...
  3. Please note: This thread is 8 years old. Any product info and ingredients might have changed in that length of time.
  4. Yes. It's my fault she has fat thighs. I sit my fat butt on her so she can't move and stuff the crackers right in! It's costing me a fortune in crackers!
  5. The Vans are yummy. They have oats - at least the ones I have had.
  6. Look at this yummy recipe! It looks easy too. But do step #2 first. If you don't know what "butterfly" means - slice the turkey breast almost all the way thru and lay it out flat. A Butcher at the meat counter would probably do it for you, too. http://abc.go.com/shows/the-chew/recipes/Turkey-Breast-Creamed-Collard-Greens-Deena-Carte
  7. This is especially true for someone with a slightly positive blood test. In small children, they will sometimes forgo the endoscopy if there is a god response to the gluten-free diet, a really high ttg (over 100), and genes. In adults, they still want to do the endoscopy. Part if the reason for this is to make sure there aren't other issues like ulcers...
  8. I didn't realize you had the blood test for Celiac and it was negative. I just didn't want you to go gluten-free and then want a test a year from now. We see that a lot and its so hard to go gluten free if you are feeling better. Trying the gluten-free diet is a great next step. Here's a little info about NCGS and the site has other good info. Open Original...
  9. Why not get tested for Celiac disease? Stool tests don't test for Celiac or " non- Celiac gluten sensitivity". Maybe you have gone gluten free for no reason? You can try it for a few months and see if it helps anything. It's just that, sometimes, it can be hard to go back on gluten if you want to be tested
  10. Got curious and found this. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/94916-best-bread-recipe/
  11. THe google function at the top right corner has a little thing like a cog next to it. Click that and you get lots of options to search. You can just search by a poster's name and maybe the word bread. Check the ' as posts". It's much easier that way.
  12. What if you freeze them on a tray, unwrapped. Then when they and the icing are frozen hard, package them?
  13. Whether it is really necessary or not... I don't know. Its harmless, so why not? I actually know a lot of people, especially when something is going around at school, who make kids wash their hands when they come home. My older son had a friend with a fragile system and everyone had to wash hands and take off shoes at the door. It may not be that odd...
  14. I bet there are. I found one by googling something like "Celiac support group Kansas city". Of course you might want to substitiute something for the "KC". This is from the main page but I'm not sure how up-to-date it is: https://www.celiac.com/categories/Celiac-Disease-Support-Groups%2C-Organizations-%26amp%3B-Contacts/
  15. You really do sound like you could have Celiac. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to test for Celiac without eating gluten right now. Maybe in a few years? I saw that there is some work on a test that would sample your intestines and expose it to gluten and get a reaction. That isn't at all a scientific explanation. But maybe some day they will come...
  16. That is how my mom always made turkey and it comes out great! Seems like I remember that you have to flour the turkey or the bag? Or are new bags not like that? IF so, what did you use for the flour? I did it a few years ago and I think I used white rice flour. But I'm not certain.
  17. If the biopsies were negative - what intestinal damage? I think I missed something.... Oh...I see..they see inflammation but the biopsies are negative?
  18. I'm sorry. You're right. I have edited it.
  19. This is what I would like to say " We suffer for years and die a slow painful death if not treated. It is a very real disease."
  20. This is an easy explanation Open Original Shared Link And DQ8 is a Celiac gene. But only about 5% -8 % of Celiacs have that. Depends on the source.
  21. I think the thing to do would be whatever makes him feel comfortable. So... ask him.
  22. And I wondered where the gluten on the machines would come from if all the products do not contain gluten! Maybe another brand uses the machines?
  23. When we have parties, we put something like this on the invitation: Due to food allergies in our home, please do not bring any food. But most people I invite know about my Celiac.
  24. Most companies aren't going to guarantee it is gluten-free if they don't test for gluten. That does not mean it has gluten in it. Sounds fine to me. Do Zicam® products include gluten? None of the ingredients or manufacturing processes contain glutens derived from wheat, rye or barley. However, some Zicam® manufacturing facilities use equipment t...
  25. Waiting for the GI results sounds wise. Maybe you could see if you could get an appointment with the Rheummy doc sooner?
