  1. That post was 3 years ago but I think the rotisserie chicken is still gluten-free
  2. I'm not sure how I would have handled it. I probably would have been so surprised that he would say that to my face. My hub probably would have told him calmly that I am doing this for real medical reasons and asked me if I wanted to leave. And we would leave. What I would like to do - Tell the guy that I have celiac disease. Then say in a very loud...
  3. Are you in the UK? Anyway.....you can eat anything you want for breakfast - last nights left- overs, eggs, hard boiled eggs are even quicker in the morning, make pancakes ahead, freeze and re- heat, yogurt, gluten-free sausages ( I cook a bunch, freeze and then microwave ), cheese microwaved on a corn tortilla ( add anything else you like, baked potato...
  4. Not sure why you would have an IV if something if your levels are all good?
  5. I'm assuming your real doctor re- tested your Celiac antibodies and they have gone back to normal? He has tested your thyroid? He has blood tested to see what things you are lacking - like vit D, iron, ferritin, B12, etc?
  6. Very few things are absorbed thru the skin. Gluten is a large molecule. If so many things were absorbed thru the skin....we would be absorbing all the salty ocean water or the smoke from the BBQ grill or the dirt in the garden. Assuming you aren't outright eating the soap... You could get some in your mouth during a shower so you could make sure your...
  7. Nah! She didn't. There seems to be a glitch in the system it appears. Need computer miracle workers to fix it. It is true that this guy seems to post questions and never come back to the thread to comment, answer questions or thank people.
  8. Not if there is nothing to fall in it. If the " roof" is clean, there will be nothing to fall in. If you are cooking a gluten thing and a gluten-free thing, I would cover. Just in case the gluten one spits a bit in the oven.
  9. And don't forget to clean your bathroom! ( maybe I should aim that comment about 6 foot high at my house?) If you have all your Celiac lab work reports....post what you have. Give the "ref. ranges" and the answers. If it looks completely odd, message me. Maybe I can help you figure out what to post. If we need to, you can cover your name, address...
  10. Don't you just love helpful, well- informed GIs? Well...we would if we found one!
  11. It's recommended follow- up for Celiacs to have the blood work every year. Just to make sure you aren't missing anything and to assure the doctor you are taking your disease seriously. It is not considered necessary to get follow- up endo biopsies unless you are having problems. Tis info is on the Celiac center of Chicago site. I'm running short of time...
  12. I'm going to the big Celiac conference in Sept in Chicago. I hope to hear more about these things and then I can be more helpful.
  13. I have seen that they are working on some tests that wouldn't require the eating of gluten. I can't put my finger on any links right now. One where they do an endoscopy and take samples and somehow expose them to gluten in a Petri dish? Not real clear on it right now. Maybe in few years that will be available. . I usually like people to get tested...
  14. And maybe a few loads of laundry and clean your bathroom?
  15. Ok, Hon. I'm going to work with you like you are one of my boys and help you get it together, OK? I have to do something now but ...I think you need a plan of action. A few things to work on. I would suggest the first thing to do would be get copies of any lab tests in the last year or maybe two. Get copies of any procedures, X-rays, ct scans, etc....
  16. I'm not trying to stress you. I think my son is about your age. He is 20. He was pretty sick this year at college. He had to speak with doctors and ask questions and get things in writing as I couldn't be there. He would call me and tell me what he was told. But he did it himself. He knows what his diagnoses were and what they mean. He knows what treatment...
  17. Whether you have a sensitivity to gluten...I couldn't say. Maybe. Maybe not. To me, you seem to have an eating disorder that is separate from any food sensitivities. I would urge you to get some help for the eating disorder first. If the only thing you can think about is food and throwing up food, that is an eating disorder from what I have seen...
  18. You are assuming they are related to eating gluten. Might not be. Here are some common causes of nighttime leg cramps: Open Original Shared Link
  19. Yeast should be gluten free. Possible to have other issues with yeast or the ingredients of a baked good.
  20. That is a good idea but not really what I'm saying. She has posts all over the forum about not being tested correctly, not being diagnosed with anything, and needing more tests. But, it sounds like she has had lots of tests and some real diagnoses. She doesn't understand them or maybe isn't trying to understand them? It appears that she just wants a Celiac...

    ARCHIVED Risoterria

    Yum!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Hormones? 6 weeks after having a little goober is nothing! You are no where near healed. And just because most people aren't allergic to something....you could be the special one that it bothers..
  23. That sounds so sweet! Probably a young bird. The crows can be soooo mean and attack the baby birds and eggs. I have been known to go after crows and train dogs that like or dont care about birds to chase crows. I know that is just what they are made to do, but they don't have to do it in my yard!
  24. How about if we see what tests she has already had? Explore the diagnoses she has been given? Insurance won't pay for an immediate repeat of tests.
  25. I checked various flavors of it for a food pantry about a year ago. The ingredients looked fine and I told her she could give those to gluten-free people. WF had donated a bunch of them to the food pantry I was working with. They do not say the actual words " gluten-free". Remember this was exactly a year ago so ingredients could have changed. I remember...
