  1. Like I said on another one of your posts, get the test results. Get a copy of the labs and the pathology report and the procedure report. Ask some questions of the doctor. Sounds like you let him tell you you have GERD and a hernia and you don't seem to know what they are as you thought they were the same thing. You need to speak up and ask what that...
  2. Why don't you get a copy and see what they ran and what the results were?
  3. That's great! Is it this? Open Original Shared Link It has a good fiber amount for gluten-free bread! Is it like a whole grain type bread?
  4. Those margaritas that come in the little freezer packs? They are gluten-free! Open Original Shared Link Check the FAQ section.
  5. Because the trip was 4 years ago?
  6. I'm sorry but....recommending electrophoresis? Why? Seems a bit odd & extreme to recommend. Natzag- Do you run or do a sport a lot? You might want to see the doctor. It could definitely be shin split type thing. It sounds a little like someone I know who had a stress fracture. It sort of came and went. They figured it started to heal and then, when...
  7. Unfortunately, we can't choose our family. We can chose if we spend time with them. Sounds like these people would find a reason to treat you poorly, Celiac is just a convienent reason.
  8. I have never seen a plain bottled water with gluten. It's just water. Might be a slight chance a flavored water has it, but I have looked at many brands and never seen gluten in it.
  9. Might want to look at this current thread: https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/102093-newly-diagnosed-how-long-did-you-take-to-feel-better/#entry871614
  10. I'm not say eblue should never eat out. Just maybe not right now when she is still learning about gluten-free eating. I'm assuming eblue is a " she" as she said " going out with some girlfriends". Or a really lucky guy?
  11. At this point, being so new and not knowing how to tell if a place understands gluten free - I would eat before I went. Once you have been doing this for awhile, you will understand it better and can make better choices. Eating out is always a gamble, even at the best places.
  12. Just an FYI -this is a 4 year old thread. Lots of restauruants have changed menus and policies in that period of time.
  13. The original Rice Krispies contain gluten. Rice isn't the issue. If you read the ingredients thay have malt (barley). I don't know about the kind you purchased.
  14. I'm just re- reading this and this struck me - corn and soy do not cause DH. DH is a manifestation of Celiac Disease. I'm guessing you haven't had this " DH" biopsied to see if it is DH?
  15. Open Original Shared Link Here is a video of it. I think she calls us " The Gluten People" ?
  16. Just to clarify for people - Are you asking about a already made bread like the title says? Or you asking about a flour mix you have purchased? With any flour, wheat or otherwise, you would need something to make it rise like yeast or baking soda. Depending on what you are making, you might not need Xantham gum. You could probably make cookies or...
  17. What test did they do on your dad that your doc thought was odd?
  18. The oats are gluten free. Like I said before, its not the companies fault if you react to oats. It is common for people with Celiacs to have other food intolerances. Some even go away after you have healed.
  19. Open Original Shared Link This one recommends limiting the amount of gluten-free oats eaten by a Celiac. Neither say 1 in 20 will react. Please be careful making sweeping claims like this which are not backed up by facts.
  20. Your reaction isn't the company's fault. It is well known that a small percentage of Celiacs react to oats, even the gluten free ones. Gluten free, or un contaminated as is required labelling in your country , means that there is no accidental wheat in the oats. Common, non- gluten-free or un contaminated oats might have wheat in them due to growing...
  21. Saw this on an add here. You sign up and get coupons Open Original Shared Link
  22. Why not? I think is has been in the past. Starbucks encourages us to read the labels as they could change syrups at any time. I think they do it to keep things interesting.
  23. Not according to their website. Open Original Shared Link
  24. She said she wouldn't want to date a man that wanted to eat gluten-free at a restaurant. That wasn't a real man. Kathielee tried to say but what if it was medically necessary but Hoda said some thing like " well, just don't order something that would have gluten. Don't ask if something has gluten". I doubt she has any food sensitivities or she wouldn...
