  1. I'm in Kansas. We don't have Boston bean pots. I made some in my crockpot once that were good. Not sure what recipe I used.
  2. Any one make some good baked beans. The kind you put bacon or ham in? I think I can buy some from a local BBQ restaurant but I haven't checked the gluten-free status from them today.
  3. Could you post the lemon brownie recipe? Soon? I may be having a few 20 yr olds for dinner tonight or tomorrow night. Need to look around for that German potato salad recipe . Maybe its on the bacon thread?
  4. Maybe they have a common ingredient? Maybe you eat a bigger amount in one meal than you would a brownie?
  5. If they are, they are not signing in using the account they were posting with.
  6. I'm not going to get into an argument about super sensitivity. However, I haven't heard of any home test that can accurately and reliably test to 1 ppm. Those concerned with this small an amount usually eat little to no processed foods, including certified gluten-free foods.
  7. You probably got some crumbs from the nuggets in the sauce. The nuggets are not gluten-free.
  8. You have been around long enough to know that that is a site for super, extra sensitives. I believe they even tested it for gluten and it was negative.
  9. Have you seen tomato manufacturing plants? They aren't making bread there. They can't make anything but tomato products on those lines.
  10. Probably. You need to take your diagnosis ( get a note from your doctor) and go to the Student Disabilities office and insist on safe food if you must pay for it.
  11. This thread is 3 years old. Different labs have different ranges. You need to look at your blood test results based on the range of the lab that tests it. A simple explanation to think of is - one measures in centimeters and the other in inches.
  12. Just want to say that missed periods/ infertility, constipation, abdominal pain are not atypical. They are very common. I decided to get the endo and a colonoscopy at the same time to see how bad the damage was and make sure there wasn't any other issues I needed to deal with. To me, it was worth the piece of mind of knowing what was going on in there...
  13. Plus they will donate five...
  14. What we really need is gluten-free food in the food trailers from day 1. Do they really think a Celiac can eat only an apple, banana and a carton of milk for several days until a Celiac group or GoPicnic can ship them some food? I think we should write to the Red Cross about that. There are plenty of gluten-free, shelf- stable protein bar type things they...
  15. Go Picnic is donating and distributing gluten-free food to the people hit by the tornado. They have told me that they are trying to work with the Red Cross Disaster Relief to stock gluten-free foods in emergency food trailers. This is from their FB page: FOOD FOR OKLAHOMA RELIEF** Many of you have reached out and asked how you can help, especially with...
  16. You know you are responding to someone who hasn't been on since 2005?
  17. What do the directions on the bottle say? Maybe email the company and see if it makes a difference? Usually, if a vitamin is meant to be chewed, it will taste good.
  18. I was just going to post this! I have not tried it. Open Original Shared Link
  19. What brand was it? There are many gluten-free breads.
  20. Yes. You are damaging yourself. But you are an adult so you will do what you want. Please do not have children (assuming you can have any-many with untreated Celiac cannot). It isn't fair to a child to have a parent who doesn't take a disease they may also have seriously. Harsh? Yes. But you are making a decision that could be a matter of life or death...
  21. One problem with taking digestive enzymes after you have accidentally eaten gluten is that you usually don't know for a few hours or more. By then the gluten has been as digested as it will be and has moved on down. I guess if you ate something and found out soon after - an enyzme that could dissolve the gluten protein might lessen the impact of the gluten...
  22. "Eventually, doctors found he had celiac disease. A wasting disease. No one had bothered to look for such a condition in a fat man. Years of being in and out of the hospital, and no one asked why he was throwing up all his food. They joked it was probably for the best that his GI system wasn’t working well."
  23. Not sure if I posted the previous one? Ship my pants?
  24. The new Kmart commercial. It is to solve our big gas problems:
  25. This doesn't look like the medicines/vaccines that are being developed by Celiac researchers. This looks like one of those "internet Cures". Just saw this on the bottom, in small print: "The statements and products shown on this website have not been evaluated by the US Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose...
