  1. I have to say that if you were my kid, I would have told them long ago (like when you were 11), that if they didn't stop trying to make you feel bad (I would list some specific behaviors) , they would not be around you any longer. Now that you are an adult, you could speak up and tell them that you are sorry they are ashamed of you and your genetic disease...
  2. Open Original Shared Link This is a partial list of symptoms. You can see that anxiety disorders are on this list
  3. Also want to say that there are a lot of gluten-free recipes, made for Celiacs, that use jello pudding & jello in its various forms

  5. Sound safe to me! Not sure there are many juices that would have gluten.
  6. I think they are partially cooked so you couldn't roll them out more. I guess you could put one on the top of a chicken pot pie. I use gluten-free Bisquick globs for the top of my pot pie.
  7. Your article talks about some sort of "allergy" not Celiac. Not sure the reliablity of it. It appears to be someone's personal blog, maybe? I don't think he is at any of the Celiac research centers?
  8. MIght not be enough time to heal but eating gluten would make the chances of the GI finding it better.
  9. While your having the colonoscopy, I would think he would do an endoscopy and samples at the same time. Even if its not Celiac, you might have something else going on that would show in an endo. A colonoscopy can't rule out Celiac.
  10. Re-heated soup turns into cake? What kind of soup is that!

  15. With kids the age of ours, maybe we do mean " celibacy"
  16. I think she could crumble up the burger and swallow it? Might make her feel better to get some protein.
  17. I'm just trying to represent the common folks!

  20. Here is a recent thread on that very question: https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/101271-how-important-is-an-official-diagnosis/
  21. Just an FYI - The OP hasn't been on since March 2010.
  22. The gluten free diet isn't for weight loss. It has nothing to do with reducing calories, fats, carbs, etc. To lose weight, you need to reduce calories/ burn more than you take in. Nuts & smoothies are healthier than eating the same amount calories as a Big Mac, but they still have the same amount of calories.
  23. I ask her to warn me when she is going to spray anything. Then I put my hands, palm side in, over my mouth and nose. Then I wash the outside of my hands well. I don't worry about the stuff she uses at the salon.
  24. The only chocolate cow's milk I have seen with gluten was one labelled with "Malt" flavor. The barley malt was clearly labelled in the ingredients also.
