  1. At Thanksgiving, my sister said, " this is gluten-free cornbread?" while getting a second piece. The other good thing about being gluten-free is when I go to PF Changs, I have to drink wine.
  2. I think the boys might prefer this to the meatloaf!
  3. One good thing about being the only gluten-free in the house: No one eats the last 2 pieces of bread - leaving me wanting a sandwich & no bread!
  4. talk to your OB about your anxiety. She may have some suggestions and be able to reassure you. Maybe a prenatal yoga class? I have some suggestions that may sound odd but try them. They do help. Get some exercise. Even a walk around the block with the kids. Make it fun by having them count how many Xmas wreaths are on doors still or how many...
  5. I doughn't talk English. I talk Amurrican. I belief that if you re- side in USA you are acquired to talk Amurrican.
  6. Would have to add Franks Hot Sauce for my guys! Maybe salsa instead of ketchup?
  7. From what I have seem in other posts, Outbacks seem a bit inconsistent. Some people have great luck at some locations. Going at a very busy time is risky for any restaurant.
  8. Kraft is really good about labeling all the allergens and any gluten. Dairy is required in the US to be noted in the ingredients. I just looked at a box of pumpkin pudding I have and it doesn't look like any dairy( lactose). That's just in the powder. If you add the milk or Lactaid it would have dairy.
  9. You can get cream of buckwheat to make for babies. It's supposed to be easy to digest. My kids ate Chex - rice & corn are gluten-free. They fall apart easily in their mouths.
  10. Darn! I thought maybe it was an article about the healing power of rose petals and daisies. What repectable medical website spells flour like that in the title.
  11. You could be an honorary Celiac. Glad you know something and can make a plan of attack!
  12. Maybe you should share the recipe. 3 at my house would like it. The other one is just a s sometimes about food. Karma is rough. He keeps dating vegetarians!
  13. I used to not really like it either. Maybe because my mom made it with no seasoning every week! Hated ham & bean soup for the same reason. Jess has turned my Hub & I on to it.
  14. I'll take a baby boy and a 6 pack of Bards.
  15. Ditto for here too! More snow coming on Sunday ( last I heard, these things change).
  16. Counting today, my kids have been to school 8 days this year. ( one of those days they got out 2 hours early). Wouldn't want to wear the teachers out! 2 of the 3 snow days, my boys have been a school to work on the robot. It's not like they couldn't get there! We are supposed to get 1 inch today just to freshen things up. Then 5 inches on Sunday...
  17. We have about 8 inches of snow here. It isn't moving or shaking, just sort of sitting there. It's 11 F so its cold, too.
  18. Emial them at customer service. At Disneyland this summer, you go to the court house and get a list of gluten-free in the park - which restaurants and places. The nicer restaurants need reservations.
  19. If you are a music teacher, can you give instrument or voice lessons? Substitute teach. That's all day probably, but one day at a time might not be bad.
  20. I would have called the FDA first. Progresso may be trying to ignore it. You could also call your local tv station. Explain the seriousness for Celiac and other allergies.
  21. We all just had sandwiches and carrot sticks. Everyone likes that sometimes. We each have what we want - pb&j, grilled cheese, grilled pepper cheese and roast beef, & roast beef cold. Tomorrow night we are having crock- pot turkey chili. Either plain, chili Mac or taco salad
  22. Eating a little gluten, even if you don't feel it, is still damaging. It's like a leaky roof on your house. Sometimes it leaks and it obviously raining on your head. Thats an obvious effect of the gluten. Sometimes, your roof leaks but the water drips down inside the walls on the wooden studs. It can go on this way for months until one day - black mold...
  23. Did you send a notice to the FDA? If there is a batch of mislabellled soup out there, it needs to be recalled.
  24. Nature Made vitamins at Walmart and other places are gluten-free. There are some threads on here about eating inexpensively. Beans, rice, canned veggies, fruit, etc. You don't need bread & crackers. You can get the Quaker Rice cakes for your pb ( large size, not small ones)are . Chex has many varieties that are gluten-free. Coco & fruity pebbles...
