  2. Welcome, Freshmeat Derek!
  3. We have kcfreecycle.com here. They have free cycle.coms in lots of cities. You post what you have and you can't charge money. If you don't want someone to come to your house to pick it up, you could arrange to meet at the library or shopping mall. I have given away boxes of packing peanuts, old dishes, old but working wager & dryer, old tv, etc.
  4. No...none of us here are ever butt heads! I think everyone should go on there and back her up! C.com against Buttheads!
  5. I registered as gfKaren. He just wants to argue. It had nothing to do with the question really. "Why are you being so argumentative? Questioning the ladies illness? All she and her kids wanted to know was at what temperature a wheat gluten protein incinerates. We have heard that it is a big sturdy molecule that can withstand temperatures that would destroy...
  6. I'll tell you another reason people think food problems are all in our heads. When my High School senior was in grade school, peanut allergies were all the rage. I know they are real and immediately life threatening. We had so many kids with supposed peanut allergies eating M& Ms and fries cooked in peanut oil. Kids with allergies to things they didn...
  7. There statement is what we here call a CYA statement (Cover your A ). They don't add anything that has gluten. Because they don't test for it, they feel legally unable to say its gluten-free. I would take it if I needed it .
  8. http://ihasahotdog.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/0463e0ff-3858-45ef-9680-1ed7fbd4f57a.webp Can't figure out how to get the pic to show up! I did it!
  9. Are you putting fresh spinach or frozen in it? At the beginning or after oven time? I have had some bad experiences with over cooking fresh spinach in things.
  10. We are having Irish Daveyboy's Beef Curry over rice. The recipe was posted here a few days ago. Told my hub it was " David from Ireland's " recipe & he got excited about it cause every recipe we have tried has been great.
  11. All the schools are closed. We only have about 2 inches of snow but its supposed to keep it up until at least 5 inches.
  12. I'm going to jinx us by saying this but, our power never goes off. Its almost all underground. Unless you meant something else by that comment?
  13. I don't know what a low oxalate diet is so if any of my suggestions are wrong....do what my teens do & ignore me. Use to add flavor to current foods: Lemon juice (Or other citrus) , cilantro, basil, garlic, Peanut butter, Italian dressing, wine, bacon, butter, coconut..
  14. My boy cousin had very curly hair. He would slather his wet hair in Dippity Do and smash his football helmet on to flatten. It was long enough to curl up out of the bottom of the helmet.
  15. You're a weather show-off! We are supposed to get massive amounts of snow! Stock up on milk, cold cuts (judging by the deli counter line) & TP.
  16. Do they still make Dippity Do? We used to coat my hair with it then sleep in foam rollers. It was a pretty sparkly gel in the container. Slick grease coat on my hair!
  17. Don't meet him at the door wearing only a towel....on your hair.

    ARCHIVED Glutenology

When the third sentance asks for $69, I doubt the validity of any "research".
  19. Be sure to go out before you come back in.
  20. Lol
  21. Irish Latkes! Mix a little egg and a spoonful of gluten-free flour, some onion, etc. with the cooked potato. Make into little pancakes and cook in oil. Top with cheese at the end. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm!
  22. Let us know if you get the cookies and how they are.
  23. As long as it's not a sinking ship!
  24. I put that I never eat anything prepared by gluten-free friends, because I don't have any friends that are gluten-free. I know a few people that should be, but choose not to be.
  25. This sounds good. I'm pretty lazy, so I might just toss it all in & see what happens.
