  5. hadn't thought of a pet, dogs in particular, as being carries of/for this bacteria. they may well be a cause of infection/reinfection! Just they can be for strep! Also, many dogs are celiac/gluten intolerant.
  6. I understand that spouses are important in the officer corp. That being said, you need to be in top shape to make those important contributions to his advancement.
  7. what med for your RA were you on when you were tested for celiac. And yes you are correct, there are persons who test - falsly. Check out Ravenwoodsglass's posts, her "RA" cleared when she went gluten-free, and she tested -.
  8. You need to be firm. Calling you fat and lazy is not acceptable. and anemia is certainly a reason for having lower endurance! Perhaps he needs a refresher in pathophys? Sounds like the typical macho idiot. remember, he works for YOU! If he won't do the testing you want, tell him calmly, but firmly, you want it written in you chart that you requested...
  9. Yup, this IS the way nature intended you to get Vit D. Go out in the mid day sun, 10 min. to a side (lol) and come back in. you DO NOT want to get a tan! that reduces the amount of Vit D made! If you are very fair, you may need to do less, and if darker, more. good luck
  10. it is at 15% now, we don't know if it were actually less in the past. Try pancreatic enzymes for digestion, maintain good hydration. You have heard of the 5 "Fs" of gallbladder disease? fair, flatulent, fat, forty, and female.....what else does that sound like? hmm........

  15. lol, geesh woman, I think a Piper Cherokee would be big enough! Also, degree of CC does not = degree of symptoms does not = degree of damage. Hence the term "silent celiac."
  16. if you don't stop, and ANYTHING is wrong, you will always wonder, yes?
  17. two different GIs, I take it? what are the ranges on that lab work?
  18. you don't need anything to wash dishes.....no sponge no dishcloth. soap, water, and hands will do the job. paper towels for wiping down counters etc.
  19. If diarrhea is your problem, it may be TOO many almonds at once. They are high in Magnesium and nuts in general are suggested to conter constipation.
  20. 1) The 50,000 IU listed in the OP is probably D2. D3 is going to be much better. 2) Try to get your vitamin D in the way nature intended: from the sun, this also bypasses the gut. 3) 15-20 minutes a day with ~ 20% of your skin exposed, you DO NOT want a tan! That actually lessens the Vitamin D formed. good luck!
  21. Yup, the "fix me" mind set.
  22. If the kids are old enough, you might as well get them done at the same time.....
