  1. So lately it seems like I have been suspiciously devoid of glutening symptoms. This seems odd because I am branching out and trying new things and restaurants. Also, my son took a bite of my corn last night after eating a cookie earlier in the day- normally I would be SO SICK but... nothing. I had a little insomnia tonight (which I blame on the baby...
  2. My uncle just died at 45 from colon cancer.... from undiagnosed Celiac. It is not good. She needs to stop it all the time.
  3. My rule is they can eat whatever they want outside the house, but in the house, the kitchen is my domain and I need to be safe. The kid and my husband had pizza outside today and I ate my lunch inside. Then we washed up lil guys hands and face and brushed his teeth. At school (he's 2.5) they adhere to the same rules. It has seemed to help me a lot...
  4. I do too!!! In fact, last week I said "I may as well eat something good, since I throw up all the time AND I'm glutened!!!" Being pregnant has NOT helped me get rid of these thoughts LOL
  5. Avocados are a MUST in my house. I ear every 2 hours and an avocado is usually the first on my list LOL
  6. I have the SAME problem, I am 12 weeks on Saturday. I have begun eating Black Jewel microwave popcorn which seems to help quite a bit. I also have apples and peaches, and carrots. The popcorn has been a HUGE part of my life recently though, that's what I am craving!
  7. I waited a year, my son is now 2 1/2 and I am pregnant now. I too had a series of miscarriages and this baby seems totally fine so far
  8. My celiac was actually triggered by pregnancy. I also would say, however, that you shouldn't completely rule out kids just because of this. I am currently pregnant with my second child and I have had a normal pregnancy aside from the horrible morning sickness.
  9. Thanks for posting this!! Sean has been trying to use purell as a sub... it doesn't work but he didn't believe me til he read this!
  10. Absolutely annoys me. I totally don't even want to eat there when I see that blank look.
  11. I'm so sorry. I have had 4 miscarriages and each one was heart wrenching. I put it in Gods hands though and it helped me handle it. Hug that husband tight

    ARCHIVED Burritos!

I've been eating the Amys Tamales with no reaction, but then again being pregnant does mask some of my symptoms. I'll stick to only eating her to fulfill a craving
  13. Oh my goodness. I would have stabbed them with my fork. It was inappropriate. I would have taken my fruit, washed it thoroughly and then finished it. I am so sorry people are that rude!
  14. The hospital where I had my son is AMAZING about gluten-free meals BUT the snacks available were ALL loaded down with Gluten. For this baby I will be packing my own snacks...they had snackbags sent around to all the breastfeeding mothers consisting of string cheese, lorna doone cookies and a carton of milk. For this baby I am going to bring my own cookies...
  15. So true!! Every time I eat out on a gluten-free menu I have to think "Is this really worth it? If I get really sick, can I be admitted to Labor and Delivery tonight for fluids?" I am so tired of worrying. Also... I miss... BURRITOS~!!!! LOL

    ARCHIVED Burritos!

For some reason I want the tortilla ... if that makes sense? I think it's a textural thing. Being pregnant is WEIRD! LOL I'll pick up an Amy's one later today and hopefully that'll help with the craving.

    ARCHIVED Burritos!

Ok, my hormones are in HYPERDRIVE and I need some Burrito BADLY!!! Specifically, I want a Triple Lindy from Moes with chipotle sauce and salsa verde... What can eat as a solution that will make my baby happy and NOT land me in the hospital?
  19. Oh my goodness, that's like when I went to the ER for an IV from my morning sickness and he ran a Pregnancy test (not quant, just one to see if I was pregnant!!) and gave me a bunch of tests before even getting me an IV! And then he gave me the wrong anti nausea!! I had told them when I came in that Ineeded an IV and some IV zofran and he totally ignored...
  20. which is good because I have a history of miscarriages...but... This is killing me LOL
  21. I don't really measure LOL I just kind of do it to taste.... the one that we started using was this: Open Original Shared Link Then I went rogue and started tweaking. I'm kind of bad about that.
  22. Zofran IS gluten-free as asfar as I know! My doctor gave me Dr. Reddy's labs and I haven't had any sort of reaction at all. I also saw them on the gluten-free drug list. I take the zofran then 3 hours later the phenergan and my day just goes like that. Of course after I wrote the update it got REALLY bad and I was downgraded to plain rice pasta and a...
  23. Well, I had a few good days this week, and I tried to eat whole foods as much as possible but ended up getting Mellow Mushroom gluten-free pizza 2x and eating a salad (which didn't stay put). It seems if I eat what I am craving (like Glutino bagels lol) my stomach behaves a bit better. Hopefully it will go away for a bit soon . I'm also on phenergan...
  24. I make my own- mexican chili powder, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and a dash of cayenne. Delicious, blows the packages out of the water.
  25. It took me almost 5 months to feel anywhere near normal so din't discount it yet... definitely try a different hair gel though
