  1. I can tell you what I know. I tested negative through a scratch test for wheat allergy, but through work I had a positive IgE to gluten. Which would be an allergy to gluten. A positive IgE to gluten, can be indicative of both an allergy or celiac though...so they did a celiac test. I had a negative Celiac blood test, which according to my doctor...
  2. I have only been gluten free for 5 or so weeks, and I used to have what seemed to be 'random' stomach pain, I could go months without it. Now since being gluten-free the 2 times I accidently ate even a spoonful of something with gluten the pain is back full force for hours. I can't imainge what would happen if I actually ate a bagel or something or ate...
  3. I felt like that with low Vitamin D. I felt horrible.
  4. According to my dermatologist my acne is bacteria related. With antibiotics in 2 months I am more than 75% clear now...and no cystic acne. So I guess I don't at this point see a relation since the antibiotic is clearing it. Although, I guess I haven't taken it in the last 2 weeks (waiting for my husbands new prescription coverage) and my acne is...
  5. Has anyone here not had any issues with bueaty products that contained gluten or wheat? I have not had any noticeable effects from my shampoo, and it contains wheat as one of the first ingredients I noticed this morning! I was wondering if this could be normal to not have any topical problems? I also do NOT let any water run down my face either...
  6. I have had their bacon and cheese (I think thats what it was?) potato. I read that it was safe also and had no problems with it. I have NOT had any gum yet, I was afraid of gum just because I know its so processed, and I can't have splenda anyways. Could you be having problems with dairy? Or the broccoli could explain the gas, not the exhaustion though...
  7. Do you think I could be IGA deficient? I finally found my test results with ranges. Demidated IGA, 6. Range: 0-19 negative Demidated IgG, 3 Range: 0-19 negative T-transglutaminase tTG IgA, <2, 0-3 negative T-transglutaminase tTG IgG 3, 0-5 negative Endomysial Antibody IgA negative Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum 200. Range 70-400. If...
  8. Well, its been 4 days since I posted this...and my ezcema is GONE. There is no discoloration anymore! I have all the lines on my palm back, its not inflammed, I can't even see really where it was anymore! After 6 months of dealing with it and trying prescription creams on it, its GONE! I am very happy, and now will just wait and see if it stays gone...
  9. I am just over 4 weeks gluten free! I feel sooo much better! I can actually feel full again when eating, not nagging pain! My stomach pain is gone, except for when I have ate gluten (only 2 times so far! Which I have found the quantity of glutening seems to affect the time and amount of stomach pain, as well as nausea the next couple of days)....
  10. I was just trying to research this last night also! I was craving some sweet coffee! I could find nothing. I know like McDonalds if you get a Latte, with no flavoring. Its just steamed milk and coffee, then I add 2 packets of sugar. Thats gluten free. However I know with Starbucks I can't have any of their sugar free syrups because they contain...
  11. He needs to go see a doctor. His symptoms could be something serious...so make the appointment for him and go along with him. Some shoulder pain can be indicative of internal bleeding also. The fact that the pain came and then went away...and now it's changed means he needs a medical professional.
  12. Ugh. I am only on week 4 of being gluten-free. And...its so hard at work. We all went out to eat, and I tried...tried to find something gluten free there. I got chicken, coleslaw and baked beans. I KNEW the baked beans probably were not safe...and there was a chance the coleslaw wouldn't be either....but I didn't want to make a fuss. Then I felt...
  13. I can tell you that I felt better after 4 days of being gluten free...but by week 3 of being gluten free I felt better than I have in a LONG time! My issue was stomach pain, low vitamin D, exhaustion, and foggy brain feeling. By week 3 I felt full for the first time...NO pain! And everything just seems so much clearer, I am able to stay up past 9pm without...
  14. I am at 4 weeks Gluten Free (with 1 glutening the first week)....and my pompholyx ezcema is currently at the best it has ever looked since I got it! Even with the super steroid cream it never looked this good. I have no new blisters, the coloring is normal, and the map/cracks of my skin have reappeared! This is making me very hopeful that gluten-free...
  15. My symptoms totally come and go for months. Your symptoms all match celiac/gluten intolerance. I would go for a Celiac blood panel...then go gluten free, you need to stick to the diet for at least 6 months for some people to see a difference.
  16. There is a condition where after eating gluten, the reaction/symptoms get worse upon exercise.
  17. I am undiagnosed also, but after years of excruciating stomach pain, I had a negative blood test ...and my doctor much like your said no doctor would do the biopsy since I don't have severe symptoms. (I have an aunt and 3 cousins recently diagnosed) So 4 weeks ago I went gluten free...I feel 80% better! Like I had no idea how bad I felt until the last...
  18. I am feeling so much better on week 4 of being gluten-free! However this week I am starting to notice that meals with milk, chocolate or cheese are upsetting my stomach - rumbly, sour, gassy, feeling like I am getting sick. I am hopeful this is a short term dairy problem (I can't imagine having to give up dairy too ). How long should I give dairy up...
  19. I had mine yesterday! I feel so awake! I get up and go to bed with feeling like I am dragging! My stomach still is a little messed up....but yesterday I ate a bunch for lunch and felt FULL not pain! I realized that is what full is supposed to feel like!!

    ARCHIVED Nausea

I have been gluten free for 3+ weeks....I am feeling fantastic! I am realizing just how bad I felt, I feel so much more awake, no brain fog, no stomach pain! However 5 days ago I ate gluten, My stomach pain returned for 5 hours. At that time I took Zantac because my Doctor said to because my celiac test was negative. The zantac did nothing. But after...
  21. These are celiac specific, it's the bodies antibody reaction to gluten. Your doctor is correct you should pursue a endoscopy biopsy for celiac.
  22. I believe I have phomoxyl eczema also. Mine is a very small spot that erupts in water filled blisters...extremely itchy/painful then they erupt (unless I can keep from scratching them), they scab over the skin then cracks...gets painful then peels off and then it swells...then it starts all over again. I am 3 weeks gluten-free and while it hasn't made...
  23. I had the celieac gliadin tests for both IgA and IgG as well as the other total and others. They were all negative. My mother carries the genes. According to my allergist, the negative blood test means nothing there is still a chance I could have celiac, but at this point random stomach pain isn't enough to do gene testing or the scope, that the...
  24. Well....I decided still to stay gluten free until Sunday we had a birthday party...so I said the heck with it and had a piece of cake. Within 1 hour I had stomach pain that lasted for 5 hours, ugh. To heck with my allergist. I think he is wrong. I either have an allergy or I do infact have celiac, with just less severe symtpoms. So I have decided...
  25. I met with my allergist last night, he did food allergy testing on me. Which were all negative. Then he said the IgE gluten test I had done that was positive, doesn't make any sense. And that people can have positive results to 100s of things and that doesn't mean they have an issue with it. Then he said the celiac blood test also doesn't mean anything...
