  1. Butternut squash soup with rice cakes and humus.
  2. Has anone had problems even after their husband/bofriend brushes? I sometimes feel bad about a hour afterwards and he brushes his teeth. I believed his toothpaste to be gluten-free, I'll ask him again.
  3. I tried it at a gluten-free Expo and like it, so did my daughter. I cannot find it in my area. When I do get gluten-free bread, I buy Rudis sandwich bread and Udi hamburger or hotdog buns. Let us know how you like it.
  4. I'm sorry you had to tell your Dad that. I think we've all experienced some type of situation like this. My sister asked me if I'd ever be able to not worry about CC when I heal. I also had a pharmacist to say the company is "reasonablly" sure it didn't contain gluten. I said if I were a diabetic, would you say, I'm reasonably sure it doesn't contain sugar...
  5. thanks, I'll have to check if it has soy in it. I know some soups do.
  6. Do you add any milk or cream to the egg mixture? We love quiche, but the cost of a gluten-free crust is $$ This would be great.
  7. Thanks everyone! Thanks for the name of a safe tuna! I'll try some of these ideas this week as well. I think my kids would love the ham and bean soup. I don't keep alot in my freezer or fridge. I'm in an apartment and my fridge is an older smaller model. It's freezer is about the size of a small cooler. I appreciate all the suggestions! If you can think...
  8. I've had a paycut this year at work and during part of the month I'm really scrapping by. Which is this coming week. I need cheap lunch ideas for me gluten-free of course, soy free, nut free, tomato free. I'm thinking canned tuna and chicken. I eat a lot of boiled eggs for my protien as well. I don't do a lot of dairy either. I can handle some hard cheese...
  9. Breakfast! Simple scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, ham and fruit salad. I had a late meeting and wanted something easy. Humus and red pepper slices for a snack later tonight.

    ARCHIVED Chik Fil A

Quick question I just thought of. Those of you that do eat the fries, do you order them differently? Have them change gloves etc?

    ARCHIVED Chik Fil A

I always ask them if the salads are prepared away from gluten. I have one Chic fil A that is super awesome. I get the chargrilled chicken salad. I cannot wait to try these as well! I don't like the chargrilled chicken fil A, (never did before going gluten-free) so I haven't tried that. I also try to go when it is less busy. I'm going to try the fries soon...
  12. Green peppers stuffed with ground turkey, rice, low fat cheese, onion, garlic, a dash of coconut aminos and italian spices. Green beans and broccoli salad.
  13. I've had two people get sick of hearing gluten free from me. One I worked with asked me to never talk about it in our classroom again! She said I needed to think of other things. I was only 6 months gluten-free at the time and finding my way still. It does hurt. So hugs, I understand!!! I love coming here because I feel "normal" with being gluten-free, soy...
  14. I remember castor oil! My Mom kept it in the fridge, so it was extra thick.
  15. It was alittle bit of everything here tonight. For me, yukon potatos, marinated chicken, avocado, and raw veggies.
  16. I can't help with the toothpaste, but I do have a very high sense of smell.
  17. I'm away from my apartment for about 8 hours and have been afraid to leave it unattended. However, I'm really tired of spending hours in the kitchen everynight. Do any of you use the crockpot liners? My sister does and wondered how you guys like them if you do.
  18. I'm going to price a crockpot tomorrow! Thanks!!!
  19. I went whole foods and kept a food diary the first year. It really help me pinpoint certain foods my body did not like to digest. I have some trouble with certain fruits, milk, some corn products, and soy. Once I figured out soy, a lot of my cramping and bloating stopped. I started off very basic and simple. I also went totally grain free, I was in so much...
  20. Black eyed peas and some collard greens. Southern tradition, done simple. I'm the only one that really likes them. Probably will finish up the olive cheese ball and gluten-free sausage balls from last night too!
  21. I went to the DR and she took blood work. No heart attack, but perhaps reactions due to my celiac and food problems. That or I've been somewhat depressed and under a lot of stress! I hope you feel better soon! Thanks to you both.
  22. I feel the same way at times! I have a very small fridge/freezer in my apartment, so not much room to cook a lot and save. Some of my fast/easy meals include scrambled eggs, or baked potato. I have made a gluten-free pasta salad and eat on it for a few days.I have also used the Hormel chicken breast strips on a salad when I really didn't want to cook to...
  23. My sister in GA is bringing both to NC, but not sure what location. I'll have to find out. It will be prepared at my older sister house. She has done a good job keeping the turkey at Thanksgiving gluten-free by using gluten-free bisquick in her baking bag. She has also cooked me a gluten-free egg dish and I did ok. I will still prepare me something and ask...
  24. I've been searching the forum to see if the hams and turkeys are now gluten free. I went to their site and will call. I didn't find out any info for my state. I know we all react differently, but I wanted to know if anyone has eaten these rescently? My family will have both the ham and turkey for an upcoming dinner. I was planning to bring my own complete...
