ARCHIVED What Type Of Doctor Do You See Regarding Your celiac disease?
ms-sillyak-screwed replied to glutenexpat's topic in Doctors
nutritonists leave a lot to be desired if you live in south east florida. Interview them first before you spend money for nothing. Ask them how much experience they have in helping people with celiac disease. How many other Celiac they treat? Ask if they speak to Celiac's at hospitails or support groups? Ask if they have read DANGEROUS GRAINS or the PALIO... -

ARCHIVED Gluten Free Hair Products For Naturally Curly Hair?
ms-sillyak-screwed replied to Green12's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I just sent an email to Dove asking where to buy the 'new' foam conditioner extra volume. It's on their web site so they haven't discontuned it. Maybe it's become very popular and it's screamin-off-the shelves and that why I can't find it. I have been to three different types of stores to find it. And no luck! I'll wait to hear back and I'll let you know... -

And now I know I was OD-ing on soy. Soy was in everything I was consuming, my vitimin pills, tofo, silk milk, dark chocolate candly, chips and tuna cans (listed as... -
ARCHIVED Delta Airlines No Longer Offers Gluten Free Meals
ms-sillyak-screwed replied to floridanative's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
Guess what? One of the most unhealthy thing a person can do is eat in thin air while flying. I owned a plane and when I was single I only dated pilots. It is a known fact it's not good to eat when in-flight. The reason is the air is thinner up there and makes your body overwork itself to digest. It slows everything down. Think of how you feel when you... -

ARCHIVED Chewing Gum Speeds Healing
ms-sillyak-screwed replied to Claire's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Interseting article and web site linked to it, really makes you think. They gave me peppermint tea and gum to chew when I had gas pains following my hysterectomy. I'm a gum chewer (opps that doesn't sound very feminine) I feel it aids in my digestion. -
I read it. Its a good book and the method and diet saved the authors life. I can't do the diet it too many things I can't eat. I looked in the back index and couldn't find anything referencing celiac disease. There is something on IBS. Was thinking of donating it to my local library so other people who might need it can get some help too.

ms-sillyak-screwed replied to megsylvan2's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have been keeping a food & body journal of my journey with celiac disease. It started back over a year ago when I was going for radiation on my thyroid. I wanted to know what was making me sick(er). I bought a thick spiral bound notebook. It never leaves the kitchen or dinningroom, I keep it on the counter where I have some space. The begining of... -

cultureslayer -- THANX FOR THE INFO. I looked up whats in it... I can't do CORN or DAIRY. That might have been why I didn't try it before. ARCHIVED Feeling Faithless
ms-sillyak-screwed replied to lushgreen's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I took ARMOUR THYROID. It made me feel better then taking LEVOXYL. <That makes me feel like I'm crawling-out-of-my-skin. You are right you can't get a steady balance with your thyroid. I know the feeling. Somewhere I read that there was a class-action suit against the major thyroid manufacture it was a few years ago, and I would assume they've worked... -
