  1. You're not pregnant, right? What pancake mix?
  2. Vaseline! And Prep H--not the cooling one though--yikes, that hurts! Hopefully as you continue to be gluten-free, the hemmies will be fewer and farther between. If not, you might want to explore dairy. It is a big cause of this for me.
  3. Praying you get better soon girl!!!
  4. Very nice! I love thoughtful people
  5. Helped me-- Branching out to new foods and tastes I hadn't eaten previously, adding new things into my diet and finding good substitutes for a few of the breads, desserts etc. so that I don't feel like I'm really "missing out."
  6. This is the brand I always recommend. You can find it in the refrigerated section of most natural health food stores. Open Original Shared Link Remember to pay attention to expiration dates. I don't see any obvious corn in the ingredients, but you could call to check.
  7. Oh, that's very true Tiffany! I had someone from my local Celiac group e-mail me that she found a post I wrote on a doctor....she was researching him. Another woman I didn't know found something I had written about a specific medication and e-mailed me b/c she just moved to my town. We had lunch together The internet makes it a "small world." I try...
  8. One possibility could be reflux. Chronic heartburn can cause inflammation in the esophagus, which can constrict it...and cause the feeling or reality or food getting stuck in the throat. Complications of untreated Celiac can include reflux...but your doc would have to do a scope to really confirm esophageal inflammation.
  9. For lower fat, I go for Coleman and Ian's chicken sausage--very yummy. They have quite a few that are gluten-free--just read ingredients.
  10. Read this Chicago thread--it will give you quite a few. My favs--Vinci's: great pasta !!! Wildfire Grill is great too. Big Bowl has gluten-free pad thai that is wonderful too!! Several locations of that in Chi-town. Open Original Shared Link
  11. Some more ideas: Is Vitilgo a possibility? Vitilgo is not "bumpy" though, so if the spots really are, then its probably not. Fungal infection? How about clogged pores? Those little bumpy, pimply type spots (can be white/red) usually appear on back of arms, legs, butt. Can be helped with an exfoliating lotion with ie, a high lactic acid content. Or...
  12. I agree with later sentiments here, % was re: testing capabilities, not gluten content. I just drank that lemonade a few days ago too.
  13. There is atleast one PF Chang's on the strip. Favorite meal on last trip was at Bellagio's Olives restaurant. Pretty nice place--great food and if you can get outside--great terrace view of fountains. Did a great job with my gluten-free meal. Just call ahead and specify you'll need gluten-free meal, they will discuss when you arrive.
  14. Thanks Shirley--I need you would have some ideas! I will fwd them on to him
  15. Hmmm, its hard to say. Do the symptoms come and go? If they do...try keeping a food and symptom journal to see if you notice any patterns. Before I figured out dairy caused my brain fog (still amazing to me at time that milk could do that!) I thought it was a blood sugar thing. Good luck to you ! Let us know if the ear thing gets confirm or if you make...
  16. When you say your dairy sensitivity is lessening, do you mean your D is happening less and less? Your question is hard to answer. Its really impossible to say. D is telling you something--it is stimulating your GI tract to shoot the dairy through quickly. Impaired digestion in the small intestine can send sugars, proteins etc. into the colon, which, when...
  17. Wow...I've seen the crockpot "baking" recipes before...but have never tried. I should--it fascinates me
  18. Huh, they have it at my natural food store and I believe at Wild oats too. Maybe you could talk to a manager about carrying it. I don't use a lot of milk subs--but this "butter" works great for cooking and baking as a sub. Other than that I use rice milk on my cereal. Vance's is good for making homemade "icecream" too. I've done that a few times. I...
  19. Shirley- Hi! I got some pics of how my pots have turned out this year if you'd like to see my fledgling flower gardening Question for you--Saw my uncle from spokane this weekend. Was telling me about his garden---sounds amazing. Has had major gopher issues. Ended up taking part of old freezer and partially burying to grow root veggies in so they wouldn...
  20. It is always listed on the package...but go here to see the different Eukanuba formulas, then click on the pink ingredient tab at the bottom to see the ingredients: Open Original Shared Link Go here to see Iam's formulas and then choose one and that page will list the ingredients: Open Original Shared Link Hope that helps ! I prefer Eukanuba...
  21. Ck out leaping bunny: Open Original Shared Link This org investigates products and marks them with their logo if animals are not harmed, tested in production etc. There are some lists on this site of safe products. I use Aubrey Organics for shampoo, it has the leaping bunny...
  22. Cutting out dairy was so worth missing cheese--even though I miss it more than gluten. Below are some of the subs I use: My favorite gluten-free/cf "butter" alternatives are Earth Balance sticks and spread. Sticks work perfectly as a sub for regular butter in cooking. Both taste great! First and Fifth items on this page: Open Original Shared Link...
  23. I had more dizziness, disorientation after going gluten-free. For me, it was my dairy intolerance finally showing itself now that gluten was out of the picture. Dairy gives me major brain fog, like clockwork. I don't consume any now and never have the brain fog. For me it felt like an out-of-body experience. I also had balance/vertigo issues for a while...
  24. We usually use Eukanuba, but just got an Iam's this time. Just read ingredients...both have formulas with no gluten ingredients.
