  1. I ordered some of that soap from my co-op...should get it this week
  2. I went in May... miss it
  3. The only "non-completely-scratch" frostings I could think of would be a mix, like Cherry Brook Farms has. You could you the earth balance stick butter in place of regular butter. Don't know of any nondairy, gluten-free store bought frostings myself
  4. The gluten-free lettuce wraps are great ! Changs is one of the better restaurants to eat gluten-free at... But still confirm that clean pans etc are used to cook your gluten-free meal.
  5. Sounds like you did it by the book! Frustrating I know... Good luck with the next one! OH!! And I nearly forgot until just now! I started a thread on this same topic ! Ck it out below, might have some more ideas for you: Open Original Shared Link Oh, and one more thing! Just cked my e-mail and my Clan Thompson newsletter had arrived...
  6. Ah! That sounds like so much fun--golf, bbq, hanging out--hope you have a gorgeous day for it. I'm sure the other dinner was such a blessing to your friends--esp the newbies!! Sorry to hear about the bone spurs--I hope they aren't really painful...and that they don't slow you down! (But what could?!)
  7. I wish I had some stellar culinary advice for you... I am a pretty good cookout all around, but bread is one I have not master so well. Mine always fall a bit too Could you be letting it rise a bit too long?
  8. Shirley-- What's the word on your hip? Did your other gluten-free dinner go well?
  9. I may have to try some of that bar soap! I would like to try some of the lotions...but I think they had parabens in them...can't remember. I'll ck next time I'm in store. Always like new product recs Although dh thinks I have quite enough products I'm sure!
  10. Really? Does it take makeup off?
  11. I know they have had some incidences of CC, but I think they are also trying to be more savvy than most companies, and not blindly label gluten free when there is no standard definition for what that means. There have been some folks here who have had CC issues with Amy's and just as many who eat the meals w/o issues. You'll have to make your own call on...
  12. Hey you! I didn't notice your rosacea when I saw you... Mine has gotten better...I get more of the break out type...but its really not that bad right now. Funny this is, this morning when I was getting ready I thought of this thread and about Patti and I talking about the bisque...weird I think mine is the worst (flushing) after working out.

    ARCHIVED Pf Changs

Lettuce wraps, definitely, and the Singapore Street Noodles--yum.
  14. Do you have an ingredient list like the one below, and ck labels for any suspicious ingredients? Do you always make sure they aren't using butter in restaurants when you go out? Avoid the following milk-containing foods and ingredients: Artificial butter flavor Butter, butter fat, buttermilk Casein - milk protein Caseinates (ammonium, calcium...
  15. That is good...it can take months for the levels to return to normal. IgG takes longer to rise and decrease in testing than IgA. I would retest later, ie. at one year to confirm negative bloodwork then.
  16. Ugh to your poopy friend Judy
  17. Yeah-congrats!
  18. Ooo, good to hear that sub worked...I do that in some recipes too.
  19. Wonderful news--so glad!
  20. I actually use my dad's old bread maker for my gluten-free bread. I cleaned the hell out of the thing initially. It would be riskier if you were switching from one to the other alot though. You *should* be able to make it work I'd think--if you clean each nook and cranny everytime. You could also stick the bread pan in the dishwasher. Don't forget the...
  21. That's encouraging to hear! I will make it to Europe for a vaca one of these days!!!
  22. I don't chew gum, so can't tell you about that--I'm sure someone else can, but there are a lot that are gluten-free. And to confirm again, blow pops are okay. Go here and read the bottom fine print on the page--good news! Open Original Shared Link OK-found Lifesavers AND some gum for you--go here and read the gluten-free wrigley's list: Open Original...
  23. I have it on hand as a resource and book for others to borrow. Someone has it right now in fact. I haven't read the thing cover to cover but it had a few recipes I liked. I don't think it brings up anymore info that isn't in Wheat Free Worry Free
  24. Love the response--esp the part about her attitude going extinct. Couldn't have said it better
