I don't think she is saying that potatoes will kill you, but that in some individuals they contribute to chronic illnesses which are serious enough to lead to a premature death or miserable living. I usually...
  2. Brenda- I went thru a bad bout of those infections a while back--and it was miserable. There can be a connection b/c yeast imbalances and Celiac, but there are also many other causes. I have taken diflucan in the past with success...but that was pre gluten-free. This site lists it as gluten-free, however I would call and verify: Open Original Shared...
  3. I second what's been said here--no oats b/c they do cause damage in some celiacs and even if by a stroke of luck you had no reaction, you still have a near impossible job of finding uncontaminated oats. stick with cream of rice and other hot cereal subs.

Ck out ingredients here: Open Original Shared Link (Also, a few other products with completely gluten-free lines: badger, giovanni organic hair care (even the golden wheat shampoo--just a dumb name!), and i believe tropical traditions, oh, and all of bare escentuals makeups...
  5. I eat with no issues...ate it last night-yum! I always cook it in a broth or seasonings like saffron.
  6. Nisla-- I feel your pain (literally!)... I have been gluten-free for about a year, which I know I have a while to go on healing probably still, but there has been no improvement on my muscle/fasica pain, FM. FM is a real pain in the as* ! I am still exploring other ideas, but most 'docs' have little help to offer. I fear it will never get better, but...

  10. The most likely conclusion is that yes--he is complying with the diet--good news! Which #s were still higher? IgG? It is up to you whether you would do a rebiopsy to ck healing progress in the intestine, but that is a route some take. I will most likely do that later this year. It is definitely important in those who still have symptoms.

  19. Michelle- Well, I'm not sure about Ortho Lo...I was on Ortho Tri-C, regular. So, your version may be lower. The ring goes in for three weeks, stays out for one for period, just like a regular 28 day pill pak. I feel your pain on the cysts and the pills
  20. My main ones--severe anemia and fatigue. And now, in reverse symptoms I notice as I am healing that I am absorbing more, and foods and alcohol affect me differently than before.
  21. Dianna- Well, it is kind of lame commercial, but somehow the lameness of it always makes me laugh It a doctor scholl's commercial where something horrible happens (like a car accident), but the people involved are totally laid back and near euphoria-happy b/c they are wearing dr. scholl's gel shoe inserts, so instead of getting mad, they ask eachother...

There are chest pains like stabbing ones when you are trying to expand your chest and breathe, and there are ones that feel like they are coming from your heart. Some are anxiety caused, as I mentioned, muscle spasms, or related to GI issues and the vagus nerve.... ie. my dad had GI issues that...
