Headaches and joint pain are reactions I have when I consume nightshades.(potatoes, peppers, chilies, tomatoes ,eggplant ect...)I was not able to isolate the cause until after I was gluten free for awhile. Nightshades also effect my mood and temperament. I get really angry and mean. Try eliminating nightshades for about 2 to 3 weeks and them reintroduce... -

ARCHIVED Eating Gluten Free At Others Houses
cahill replied to Ally1978's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Honestly ,I have given up trying to educate my family, they just plain dont want to hear it . My friends understand ( as well as I can expect them to ) and allow me to serve my self first so it lowers the risk of CC. What I do is : eat before I go,take a dish to share I can eat (normally a casserole and a dessert ), and serve my self first . -

ARCHIVED How Often Do You Eat Out At Restaurants?
cahill replied to love2travel's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Like mushroom, I have additional intolerances that make eating out difficult at best. I have been gluten free for about 19 months ,I have eaten out twice in that time. At the same restaurant .Once was a great experience and the other time I was extremely ill afterward. The difference (I believe ) was the waitstaff. The time I did not get ill , the... -

Take note of any changes in his behavior ( his ADHD)and changes in his tummy issues . 6 days is not a long time but you may be surprised the changes when you put him back on full gluten . Once his testing is done, consider going gluten free ( not matter the test results) There is scientific research that indicates that someone with ADHD can benefit... -

ARCHIVED Some Questions From An Ignorant Newby
cahill replied to notanothername's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Do not put him on a gluten free diet if you plan to have him tested for celiac's until all the testing is done. Testing for celiac's is done by blood work and /or endoscopy . Being gluten free before testing can cause false negatives. If he has no issues with gluten being on a gluten free diet will not cause him to become sensitive to gluten... -

Do you have any problems with other intolerances ?? I believe cinnamon is in the nightshade family (??) Are you getting CC from your pets food? Do you eat processed gluten free foods?? Could you be super sensitive to gluten??, maybe sticking to just whole foods for awhile would help. I am sorry I hope you find the culprit soon.
