  1. Luckily, i had a 3 day weekend when i added back legumes. My reaction to them put me in bed/bathroom for 2 days and I am just now starting to recover. I dont know how many times i can deliberately do that to my self so my food list may be quite limited for quite some time to come A great benefit to doing this elimination diet that I didnt think...
  2. Thanks Jenn,, I have been eating more veggies than I EVER have Unfortunately I reacted very strongly to legumes when I tried to reintroduced them. I am concerned about that because Legumes have made up a large portion of protein in my diet for a very long time.

  4. If you are going to have any testing for celiac's it needs to be done Before you go gluten free. I would suggest talking to your doctor about allergy testing and a full celiac panel .
  5. I agree with raven,,, be sure to rule everything else out first. One of my reactions to soy is bleeding, even with slight cross contamination
  6. When you say what does "not much" mean??? do you have a copy of your results , if you do could you post them?? Have you had any allergy testing done??

  8. Is ground meat (turkey being the main one in question)gluten free. The brand Sunnydale farms listed natural flavoring as an ingredient. I Havent been able to find a web site for them or Tyson or Perdue ground turkey .. Sorry if this is a silly question -

  11. I am watching this thread in hopes of getting some ideas/information. I am currently doing an elimination diet,,, and the way things are looking I am going to be pretty much eating Paleo wither I want to or not

  13. I feel the same way.,,,, Some days i feel like there is NOTHING safe to eat.. I am finding that as I eliminate more intolerances, I have to be careful not to eat to much of any one thing FRUSTRATING

  17. Before eliminating nightshades I never connected the migraines with them,, But after eliminating them I ( of course ) had to prove to my self wither or not nightshades were a problem . I had eliminated them for about a month and then I purposely ate them ,,just to make sure I had an migraine within an hour of eating them and I became violently ill...

The choices I would have when going out to eat would be Applebee's, Bob Evens , Red lobster (about a hour drive one way) and Outback steak house (about 1 hour and 30min drive one way) and of course the local mom and pop restaurants and fast food places.   19. with the gum ,most contain High fructose corn syrup ( Corn) in addition to the sugar substitutes. Another thing to consider is some gum contains soy. I was able to eliminate soy from my diet and then challenge it ,,,It didnt take long or much to know it was an issue .. I have also had success finding other intolerances (corn,nightshades ect) this way...

  21. I am glad to hear you are feeling better,,, and it sounds like your friend is understand and supports your choice to be gluten free. I have concerns myself ..... I am wondering how complicated dating is going to be now. I havent even eaten out at an restaurant since going gluten free and stating to date again scares / terrifies me
