IrishHeart replied to squirmingitch's topic in Super Sensitive People
Not a big beer drinker (I prefer gin) but I have had: Green's Bard's New Planet they all taste pretty good and I have never noticed a thing (except the buzz we hope for!) -

ARCHIVED Hashimoto's Syndrome
IrishHeart replied to kcorcoran2013's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Just to be clear, I did not say the TSH level is bull. I said that the statement "it should be close to 1" is not really true. The many symptoms I exhibited when I was ill from celiac --which mimicked those of hypothyroidism exactly---AND the 5.3 TSH reading the endo doctor saw that ONE TIME gave him the impression I "needed to be " on thyroid...- 31 replies

ARCHIVED Happy Spring, Fellow Gardeners!
IrishHeart replied to notme's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
er, Squirmy is "squirmingitch" on here and she is a native Floridian and a master gardener. I think maybe you thought I meant the hubs. I have lots of nicknames for him, but that's not one of them. -

Sub in swiss chard. Eat the chard sauteed in garlic and EVOO...you won't care if you ever eat spinach again. She's a hack wannabe. Wanna see good food porn? check out this woman's blog. I have her book and I love everything she does. http://www.cannellevanille.com/ -
ARCHIVED Hashimoto's Syndrome
IrishHeart replied to kcorcoran2013's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I saw this " TSH - should be close to a 1" Not to cause a fuss, but I have to chime in here. The TSH does not need to be close to 1 to be a "normal level" for everyone. At .8 or 1, I was a trembling insomniac and a mess. I was hyperthyroid, in every sense of the word. I was at 5.3 and then I zoomed to .8, hovering around 1 for awhile. This bouncing...- 31 replies

right! Okay, everything is bursting open this week. It's been in the 70's for 3 days. whoohoo! Daffodils, tulips, the maples, the lilacs, the magnolia I was told I'd never get to grow in this zone (and it's now 50 ft. tall and full of white flowers, so ) and my peonies are in need of cleaning out, Those are spectacular when they open. I bring big... -

I would make a "white" lasagne with bechamel sauce and spinach. Just leave out the toms. http://www.bonappetitfoodie.com/2011/12/recipe-white-lasagna-with-chicken.html or as much as I loathe Martha Stewart here's another http://www.marthastewart.com/867272/spinach-lasagna of course, sub in gluten-free noodles and flour and you're good... -

I visit quite a few blogs for nutritional info, recipes, articles and it's no secret that I am a frequent contributor to the Gluten Dude site. He makes me laugh and he discusses topics (often irreverently humorous) that may not be discussed here and it's just a different perspective about living as a celiac. ....but mainly, this is my "home" The... -
I have said this disease is not a "one size fits all"---- in regards to symptoms, healing times, complications and various food intolerances. I wish I were one of the ones who goes off gluten and "all's well in the land". Some of us take more time.

I would not worry at all about the albumin. a .4 is not much. I figured you get enough water., As a native Floridian, you're no dummy about hydrating. The A P range looks a bit high. I am interested in what the doc says about it, because it can be associated with any number of things. keep me posted and big hugs. Miss ya..... but I know how busy you...

There are many threads on here about sleep problems, bad dreams, etc. Nope, you are not alone! You are making sense, hon--to us, anyway. -
High albumin is often a sign of dehydration. Is my Squirmy drinking enough water? alkaline phosphatase can be indicative of several dozen things, so it's hard to say.... and "elevated" is one thing, HIGH is another. How high were they? (I only know all this from reading my Dad's labs for 9 years. He had kidney disease, tanked hematocrits, among...

Well, Jo it looks like every time you post a symptom, you get me answering "I had that too" . LOL I had horrible insomnia, thrashing around in my bed in the middle of the night, finally getting up and walking round and round my house for 3 years. It was insane. Now, I sleep through the night (and I have never been able to do that in my entire life... -

what's mine is yours, dear girl. I did print off the "my Mom and I are G F" banner and sent it to my Mom. She'll get a kick out of it and stick it on her fridge. Thanks for the link to that site. My mother has a garnet ring and it is quite beautiful. Maybe it's the setting? Her Mother's ring is the reverse---two citrines (AKA topaz) and a diamond. I do not like my birthstone at all . I'm not the diamond. LOL although, I am her favorite, I am sure. I can honestly say I was not impressed by them, hon. K!! I am sure I would like your... -

Those are awesome and your daughter is adorable! Tonight is looking like grilled chicken and asparagus (since it will be nearly 80 today) and NO potatoes. Going low carb for a while to shed some (as LOVE2TRAVEL delicately calls it) "adipose tissue" ...bikini season ( a permanent one it turns out ) is fast approaching -

Was reminded of a few other "lucy ricardo" moments even while sitting. I fell down a flight of stairs while carrying a laundry basket full of clothes in my parents' house. Caught my foot on the stair rug (we assume) and did a split like a cheerleader. Don't know how I did not split myself in two like a wishbone. Broke bones in my foot, banged up everything...
