    Hops are not sedative, according to my chemist hubs who has been brewing beer for 35 years. Secondly, I would not drink that. I read their statement (and how "their gluten intolerant friends" eagerly tested it and "took one for the team"--that probably means none of them are celiacs) but it did not satisfy me. Seems unlikely their process...

    Most celiacs tolerate oats. I read wait 2 years before trying them. (everyone has a theory) When it is described as a "gluten reaction", it means you may have digestive issues. It will not give you any neuro issues. Nothing I have read indicates that will happen, if that is your worry. And it certainly will not cause a gluten autoimmune response...

    We have a PUR filter. No problems. I am just curious, but what makes you think there is gluten in a water filter? I have never heard of this before. (But when it comes to gluten, I am never surprised by what I learn.)

    Well, I AM silly, granted---but to be a psilly...well.... That's special. Jumping in on this thread is like coming into the middle of a movie. :lol: or..like my improv class back in college.     Be careful. You could be audited. You need to have HUGE medical expenses in addition to the gluten free groceries for this to work. Your medical deductions have to equal 7.5% of your income before you can deduct the first dollar. I have not heard of any celiac who has done this successfully. I have heard of two being audited the first year they tried....

    I never drink soda but I had a Virgil's root beer while on vacation and oh boy--did that taste great. Gluten free. No HFCS...(but pure cane sugar) I bounced off walls for an hour or so from the sugar buzz
