  1. Honestly, I have felt so horrible for so long, in excrucaiting pain , so I am relieved to know I will feel better. But YES!! I am pissed off and I cry and I get frustrated and then, I think how crippling and disabling and life-stealing this has been and I am grateful there's a way to make that hell stop. Te hardest part was trying to figure it all...
  2. I used all the natural stuff too...wide awake. Slowly, my natural sleep rhythm is coming back. I could barely get 1 or 2 hours....now, I get about 4 and I do wake up, but can often go back for 2 more. I also have severe pain issues, tho and that wakes me up. As I recall, I felt nauseous, jittery, wired, anxious, felt like I was jumping out of...
  3. YES! for 2 years, I couldn't think straight. I called it "vaseline head". Felt like I was drugged/tripping. I would get agitated if I had to balance my checkbook as I kept making errors. I had to check and recheck every single thing I did, couldn't read or comprehend or articulate clearly and had trouble making decisions about simple things like what to...
  4. I had the WORST withdrawal from AmbienCR. I used it a few years ago for only one week for serious insomnia and no one told me to taper off it either. Be careful!! Doctors tell you what the drug companies tell them--which are lies. How else would they sell more drugs? (JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION)
  5. I already told you guys my long story (see above) But I did not think about the smoking angle....after I had a traumatic car accident, I quit smoking, developed pneumonia (HUH!) and a few months later, I had a miscarriage and went downhill slowly....not sure if it's a connection, but it sure seems strange Isn't everything about this disease baffling...
  6. Coool... your my first friend! Our 1st meeting is March 28th. I am excited. This town has 5000 people and I keep hearing of more and more people with gluten problems.

  7. You got that right, sister!! oh, I intend to educate every single "medical professional" I saw in all the years of searching for answers (my story is really LONG and complicated) and not one of them helped....jerkwads ..... LOLLOL
  8. Thank you for accepting me! :)

  9. Thanks... it IS a bizarre feeling, I know; I have lots of bizarre symptoms (burning mouth, for example, among others ) Glad you are feeling better!!yaay!! No, you are not insane, I'm not insane (although I was pushed to the brink of insanity) NONE of us are insane...we are just not diagnosed properly AND LEFT TO WORRY ourselves insane. ...
  10. I have this scalp pain and weird sensation, too. I tell hubby I feel as if I am encased like a sausage..tight tight tight (it's the inflammation, I think)
  11. Thanks for this post, Pondy. I have asked others on here, but no one seems to have this pain except you guys. SG whiskers! This is so encouraging!! (I am actually crying with relief as I read this.) THIS IS ME!! I am in awful pain, especially my neck, shoulders, legs. It hurts to sit, stand, lie down. I BURN everywhere. The shirt on my back is painful...
  12. I had symptoms my whole life, but until I started looking back since diagnosis, I did not put them all together. In High school, I had a virus the doctor actually called Virus X because he didn't know what it was. I missed nearly a month of school due to vomiting, a bad rash and fatigue. My hair was always thin, I know that. Maybe that was a clue. My...
  13. The spacey thing is gradually subsiding for me...thanks for telling me it has gone away you-- it's encouraging! As for the hair, I can learn to accept the grey/white thing IF it would just grow in some more!!...sigh... and yes, I am all for not feeling like I'm older than my very active Mom (she's 84 and still goes to the gym 3X a week, cardio kick...
  14. That's what happened to me. I have been coloring my hair for years, no problems, but during the last year, my scalp went crazy. Sores, beet red, itchy, peeling...gosh, I hope yours "behaves" for you. the real bummer is...it grew in gray/white YUCK and it's so thin right now from malabsorption...I'm not happy about it at all. I hear you. I just had...
  15. Te Methyl form is just one form of B-12. Sounds good! Be sure to drink a LOT of water!! Dehydration is often an issue with feeling spacey too.
  16. It is good you have such a loving hubby. Hang onto each other right now. You two will get through this, even though it seems impossible right now. Rachel, people will try to be comforting, but will say things to you like "maybe it wasn't meant to be" and "you're young, you can have another"...they mean well, they are trying so hard to say what's right to...
  17. I think it expresses a lot of experiences others can relate to. Thank you for permission.

  18. It's under "How many people are actually self-diagnosed" and starts " I agree about the doctors and their lack of knowledge.

In 12+ YEARS of seeing doctors, specialists, having many tests run, scoped, prodded and poked, spending thousands and thousands of dollars ...developing a hundred or so bizarre and crippling symptoms, suffering multiple miscarriages, burning nuer...

  19. um...I'm not sure. I know some people use the Garnier line? I had to stop coloring my hair because my hair fell out and my scalp was peeling and had sores on it...this nasty disease! anyway, I am happy you have good hair!! I pray mine returns and I can look pretty once more...
  20. .......and in answer to your question, I use Tinkyada Brand Rice pasta. It is delicious. I toss it with Ghee and steamed broccoli. (I can't tolerate pasta sauce yet, but if you can, make your own and go for it.) Cook it for 13 minutes. No more, no less. Trust me--I had plenty of gummy and/or rock hard batches of this stuff . My cousin was the one who...
  21. Coconut oil is expensive. It is considered a natural anti-fungal. (you seem to be worried about yeast, that is why I mentioned it.) Some people use it in conjunction with probiotics. Others use caprylic acid tabs (which is IN coconut) for this same purpose. There are a number of things you can use that are more natural anti-fungals, like Pau D'arco tea and...
  22. May I share one of your posts with the support group at our first meeting? We live in a very small town and my thought is that those who are enduring difficult times may not want to share. If I share a post or 2 from this site that talk about how it has been... they may feel understood and know it is a safe place... but not have to share if they don't want. What say you?

  23. Hi Pondy--I think I talked with you on another post!! I use Savonnerie gluten free products. Check the Internet. But that's because I have some problems with soy (often in beauty products) and I cannot seem to figure out what I am reacting to (I have burning, red skin and itching). AVOID shampoo and hair spray with HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN. ...
  24. People with more experience with anti-candida diets may help you more, but here's my 2 cents.... I eat a lot of brown rice (the Success boil-in-bag 10 mins. work fine), baked potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, all vegs, all fruits, all meats, fish, shrimp. I season with sea salt and all herbs I like. (McCormick brand is gluten-free) I use fresh when they...
  25. Boy, I know that spacey feeling and it is very scary and depressing. I had it for 2 years and am happy to say it is disappearing!!. (I used to say to my husband that I felt like my brain was dipped in vaseline ) I had a really hard time with all that. Thought I was going mad sometimes. It took me about 3-4 weeks to start to see that sensation diminish...
