  1. The whole Biopsy thing for a positive diagnoses is just SO irritating to me. If you have positive blood work, then that should be enough. Why do they care! They are hurting many people by their stubborn attitudes. If they would just tell people that they probably have it and should follow the diet. This IRRITATES me BIG time. I had the blood work done after...
  2. Nini, Thanks for the tip about the pizza crusts. I LOVE them! Just bought two packages today. I was mad that our store was out of my favorite. I LOVE their ENglish muffins too. Carole, I cut mine in to thirds and toast them this way. I think they are even better this way. I love them with poached eggs. I haven't made garlic bread since going gluten free...
  3. Shirley, So sorry to hear about your friend. You will be in my prayers. Monica
  4. If your blood work was positive, then you have celiac in my opinion. Don't listen to the doctors if you want your health back! It is hard I know. I had borderline blood tests and had a ton of self doubt and even cheated after I started feeling better thinking it was ALL in my head. Then felt worse and that really set me back big time! I have 3 little boys...
  5. I made Annie's too and it was NASTY!!! THe noodles were discusting. WEll one day I had one still and had Tinkyada pasta, so I through out the noodles of Annie's and added her cheese packet to the Tinkyada!! It is way yummy! My kids can all have the same meal, without me making a separate meal for my baby. If you are on a budget though it does seem a bit pricey...
  6. Rache, I am SO sorry you are feeling so bad lately. I have been feeling the same way for weeks. Very depressing. I was unknowingly getting gluten though by CC and I think that is why my body has been so sick for six months. I had gotten gluttened so many times, I am SO hoping this was the problem. Just the past two days I am feeling better. I hope it isn...
  7. My husband and I love Carmex! It is the best. Monica
  8. Rache, I am sorry you are feeling so sick! Hopefully they can find some answers to your stomach problems. Do you have C or D still? Thinking of you and hoping you get some relief very soon. I take dramamine when I am nauseated and it seems to help me. Hugs, Monica
  9. I take dramamine and it seems to help with the nausea. I also take Pepto bismol. Is this a normal reaction when you get gluten? Could it be a stomach virus? Hope you feel better soon. Monica
  10. Lollie, I am with you on the whole SPring thing! I get this way almost every winter and can't stand being cooped up. I should live at the beach I think. Anyway, hopefully that will help both of us. I don't like drugs because of the side effects. It is very frustrating. I am just hoping that the IBS gets better and that I can gain five pounds. I think my...
  11. Are most Mac lipsticks gluten free?? I have used Clinique, but am wondering if what i am using is gluten free. It is frustrating, because their are SO many names of lipsticks that it gets really confusing about even trying to figure it all out. I have really not warn any recently. I did buy some Burt's Bee's, but don't care for the colors I bought. It was...
  12. Congratulations on having your first baby! It is awesome. ON the pain part, well my suggestion is to get an epidural. If you get to 4-5 cms. they should give you one and it will be before the worst pains. I don't get severe cramping from celiac, so can't help you there ,but the pain is pretty bad once you pass 5 centimeters. I tried to have my first naturally...
  13. Snoopy, I think this can be a symptom especially if you get gluttened by accident, etc. It may not be long enough for you to have recovered completely. I know alot of people on here have gone on an antidepressant to help with stuff. I did, but I hate drugs and only stayed on it for a week. Lollie, SOrry you are having these issues too. I have three...
  14. Suzanne, I am sorry your friend is having such a rough time! From what you said, it sounds very miserable to say the least. He definitely needs to go and see a doctor about the constant itching. He could take Benadryl to help maybe(make sure there is no wheat it in and ask a doctor first). THere may be other drugs that help the itching. Also he should see...
  15. Sarah, A few of us were just discussing this on the board and yes, some of us seem to be having this problem. I feel like I am dying of some disease!! I am sicker then my three boys that are under six years old. It is driving me nuts. I am not sure how to get my health back or what is going on. I am so sick of doctors. Number one reason, is that I don't...
  16. I had planned to give up my Kinnikinnick english muffins, but can't do it. I love their pizza crusts and english muffins. THey don't seem to have any direct affect on me. I have had bad experiences with several other things though. STill trying to figure it all out. THe Energy bread though, is VERY questionable in my opinion. Monica
  17. Thanks Vincent, I had called them myself and this is what they told me too, so I thought distilled vinegar was ok and chose to eat it. I don't think we have reacted to it. Then I read on here in another post, that maybe they were adding something else. I am SO happy to know though, because I LOVE their yogurt. I think it is the best. Monica
  18. Recently on there I have seen that Stonyfield Farm's flavored yogurt's May NOt be gluten free. Does anyone know more about this. When I had called she said it was distilled vinegar in the Natural Flavoring that made them not want to say it was gluten free, but then I read it was something different. Monica
  19. THanks Rachel. I was just curious if anyone had tested positive for parasites. My GI doctor has never offered to test me for parasites. I don't really like him though. I think he is just a prescriber of medicine! It is annoying. I am SO fed up with them. I just want to be well, but when you read stuff from the natural docs, well I don't believe everything...
  20. That is the website I have seen. I just think it may be a money making business sometimes. Yes, it is nasty what they show on there! Anyway, I bought another health book and it talks alot about parasites causing us health problems. Sometimes I think they want to sell their products and therefore they make us paranoid. Just my personal opinion of course. ...
  21. What is up with all the talk about parasites lately. It seems to be all the hype. Has anyone here actually done a "cleanse" for them or been tested for them? Was anyone's test positive? WHere do they get their information and is it accurate? I guess I am just curious, because after reading on some of these sites, it freaks me out that I have them. I am...
  22. I LOVE my husband-that he his THE BEST DAD in the world to our three boys. I LOVE my husband that he supports me with celiac disease and listens to me when I am down and tells me I will be ok and tomorrow will be a better day! I LOVE that I have awesome parents and two great brothers, even though I wish we lived closer to each other. I LOVE that...
  23. I agree so much about those breads!!! There is something just wrong about corn starch, etc. I just don't think our guts were made to handle that stuff in that quantity. I have some Energy bread on my counter and I was just looking at the expiration date and it says like a year from now!! ANything that stays that "fresh" in a bag for a year, can't be healthy...
  24. Tiffany, It may be just a phase for you. We had friends move here to TN from California and they were sick alot for like six months. I think it is getting used to the germs in your area. THen for me, I don't know what my problem is, but I am hoping this will pass. Monica
  25. ChelsE, THis thread couldn't have come at a better time!! I think you are a very FUN person and this thread is a great one! Thanks for starting it. Here it goes, I Hate my digestive system!!! Why does it hate me at 31 years old! I hate that I am the most indecisive person I know (can't decide whether to homeschool or send my son to firstgrade this...
