  1. Wow, I can't believe it has been since November since I have checked in here to post my progress. Now, of course I've been on the board, but not on this topic... Well I am doing fantastic! I have lost 31lbs. since I started the Isagenix program 3 1/2 months ago. I am wearing a size 8 jeans! I haven't worn normal jeans in so long. and I can fit into...
  2. There does seem to be a link. A lot of Celiacs also seem to have occasional elevated liver enzymes. I don't think it is an issue unless they stay elevated all the time. I can tell you this though, I occasionally have severe sharp abdominal pain, mostly in the upper right side, just under the rib cage. Basically where my liver is! When I was a child...
  3. Lauralee, I am very sorry that this situation happened to you like it did. I mean, vacations are supposed to be relaxing and fun and Disnelyland is supposed to be the "Happiest Place on Earth" right? I guess it wasn't that way for you. You may have already answered this before, and forgive me for asking again if you did, but did you take a doctor...
  4. ptotheoop, Welcome to the board. I personally don't care if you have a gluten allergy, intolerance, Celiac disease or some other reason for avoiding gluten. You are welcomed here on the board and there are a lot of us here who have lots of experiences to share. I wanted to share my experience with the weight issue. I initially lost 5lbs when...
  5. I believe the vanilla ice cream they serve at Outback is gluten free, the chocolate is not. There was a thread about this before and the conclusion was the Blue Bell chocolate was bad, but vanilla was good. If you are really concerned about this I would contact the company and find out which products are gluten free. Outback recently redid their gluten...

    ARCHIVED Angry Boy!

My oldest son has behavior issues as his most prevalent symptom. He is normally a very sweet guy, but give him some gluten and he turns into a horrible, angry, moody little brat. Punching things, throwing things, beating up his brother, slamming doors, screaming "I HATE YOU", etc. Thank God we found out about gluten before his teenage years! It could...
  7. Can you contact the hotel directly about the meal situation? I would try to do that first, and plan to bring some snacks that could replace a meal if you need to. Also, you may need to contact whoever is in charge of the food at the conference as soon as you get there to make sure they will be providing you with gluten free meals, that way you will have...
  8. We will be going to Disneyland in April with a large group (my daughter will be in a dance competition there) and I plan to get in touch with a park representative as soon as I know what Hotel we will be staying in. We haven't been there since being gluten free, and with 4 of us gluten-free, we will need a lot of food. I plan to take snacks with us...
  9. I got glutened before christmas, about a week before... First, I went to a birthday party at a local pizza restaurant. I've only been there 3 times and every time I walk through the door I get sick. The kitchen is up front and you can watch them make the pizza. I think there is just too much gluten in the air! I won't go there anymore. Which my...
  10. Thanks. I look forward to hearing about your experience!
  11. Sounds good to me! I haven't eaten at an Italian restaurant since going gluten free about 4 years ago! I would like to have another option of places to eat when I visit my family that live in Santa Cruz, we usually end up with either steak or grilled chicken, but that gets old fast... Can you double check that ALL of their sauces are gluten free when...
  12. What is Oxycising? Sorry, I'm clueless...
  13. For anyone interested in trying these products, here is a list of the weight management/nutrition products that are gluten free (items marked with and asterisk* are also dairy free): Cleanse for Life-Berry and Tropical* Natural Accelerator Capsules* IsaLean Shakes-Chocolate and Vanilla Isagenix Snacks-Chocolate and Vanilla IsaLean Soup- Creamy Chicken...
  14. One thing I forgot to put in the recipe that you might want to take note of is that if the ball of dough isn't sticking together (too crumbly), then you can add a little bit more ice cold water until it is a nice flexible dough. I have found that different measuring cups measure out the flours a little different and sometimes you end up with needing a bit...
  15. Hi Kristen, I am do glad to see that you are having fabulous results too! Good for you for taking up running! I am on my 48th day (50 if you count the 2 pre-cleanse days) and have lost a total of 17 pounds as of today and also a total of 32 inches over my body! I am so happy. Yes, I have continued to purchase the products, but I am not doing...
  16. My kids are addicted to Wrigley's Big Red and Double Mint. Sometimes they mix them together and make Cinna-mint! They both are gluten free.
  17. We live in the Central Valley of California near Fresno, and tend to vacation fairly close to home. (It is too expensive to fly with a family of 5!) Some of our favorite places to go are Yosemite National Park, San Diego, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Pismo Beach, Oxnard (one of our best family trips surprisingly wonderful!), and Lake Tahoe (North Shore is the...
  18. Just bringing this back up, so if anyone needs a good pie crust recipe for Thanksgiving this one is super easy and works great. And don't worry about the vinegar. You can smell it when it is unbaked, but you can't smell it or taste it baked. The crust comes out perfect and can even hold it's shape when cut. It doesn't fall apart, but it is still flaky...
  19. Are you avoiding carmel/carmel coloring and annatto because your doctor told you they aren't gluten free or for another reason?
  20. That is great! I wish there was one located in California. They really need to expand and come on over to the West Coast!
  21. Sorry, I did not realise that you were in Canada (even though it clearly says it in your profile under your username...) I've never heard of most of those candies and there is the possiblity that their processing is different there than in the U.S.. Loribelle, Reese's minis are gluten free.
  22. What Hershey's minis are you giving your son that are supposedly gluten free? I was under the impression that they are all contaminated with gluten due to the rice krispies in the Krackle bars... Please call the company and find out if the minis you give your son are made differently than the regular minis that are all mixed in the same vat of melted chocolate...
  23. If she already whips right through the work books and knows what she needs to start kindergarten, then just work on teaching her to read. Just read to her as much as possible and get some early reader books that she can start reading herself. If you taught daycare, then you probably already have a good supply of books, but libraries are wonderful places...
  24. It is new, so they probably haven't tested it for gluten (it took them more than 2 years to finally test the new formulation of the children's chewables!), but looking at the ingredients it appears to be fine.
  25. Here is a list of the items they currently make and they are adding more soon. I have marked the ones we tried with an asterisk: Cinnamon Raisin Bread Prairie Bread * Sandwich Bread Sun-Dried Tomato Garlic Bread * Corn Bread Pizza Crust Blueberry Muffins * Cherry Almond Streusel Muffins * Almond Scones * Cranberry Orange Scones * Cream...
