  1. Sorry it took so long to come back. I bought this niffy thing called a Nutribullet and it has changed my life in two weeks! I urge everyone to read up on hemp, chia and flax! Sure, use a coffee grinder, I know it will work. I like to grind each one separately, I can get a really fine grind of flax, which seems to be assimilated better! Chia is a funny seed...
  2. I have been experimenting with nuts. I am sure you all know you can make cookies with peanut butter, eggs and sugar. I started there and then started cutting the sugar. So far, I have a winner, with many different variations! I have found you can use any nut butter, which you can make yourself but it's so easy to get a jar of "natural" peanut butter, add...
  3. Grainless....so that means nuts. You can make crackers from nuts and instead of making them small you can spread them out like a piece of bread if you really want to make "bread". I am posting a flour-less cookie recipe, you can make them savory! Omit the sugar.
  4. Open Original Shared Link works great, if you like to eat bread......
  5. Open Original Shared Link I like this site!
  6. Convenience is the enemy.....
  7. Had I not caught that infomercial.....Nutribullet is all they say and much more, especially for a gluten-free cooking mom or dad! Not only have I been making the best "Nutri" drinks This thing does a whole host of other things. I haven't been on here much (Pinterest addict!) but I really have to share. It is NOT like their Magic Bullet...300 watts more power...
  8. A little ginger powder, 1/4 tea, a little jello, 1/4 tea and something else...I'm not eating bread but if i did I would try this: Open Original Shared Link I trust the foreign borns, they have been at it a lot longer than we have! Alice
  9. DITTO! If it's DOW don't buy it! You can make your own enhancer!!!! It's easy, google it.
  10. Just bought a Nutribullet 3 days ago. If you haven't seen one yet? I didn't search to see if there any posts but they have it going on! Ground my own flour for dog cookies yesterday. I am amazed at how fine the flax grinds. My Vita-Mix hit the dust and not having an extra $500 laying around i took a chance on this thing. Got it at Bed, Bath & Beyond for...
  11. I think Pear might just have it right here?!
  12. Open Original Shared Link One of my personal favorites!
  13. You can use canned black beans to make cho chip cookies! Whirled spinach or white beans...you name, it can and will replace FATS! I only use EVOO. If you want it "hard" you put it in the freezer and then whip the heck out of it and wa-la, you have EVOO Spread! Easy peasy! Really good for making tamales, if so inclined! You can simmer anything in...
  14. You HAVE to mess with the machine, a LOT! Don't expect the 1st to be perfect..... You will be making lots of bread crumbs......
  15. Have you ever done any reading on peanut butter? I no longer eat it..... Went to a lecture on how our food is making us crazy.... If I don't make it, I don't eat it, and yes, I do like these pretzels but I don't eat them any more. Not only does my 29 yr old have Celiac but HS as well. We do so much better with whole foods! There is NO cure for either...
  16. For those of you who wonder if topical can cause a reaction, YES! My daughter has some scars on her arm, if we ever question anything, all she has to do is put the product on her arm and bingo! It inflames with red bumps within an hour or so. I bought some Organic Baby Care by Aveeno, oat was the last ingredient! What a reaction! Huge welts! So, we...
  17. Lived in Colombia, ate this all the time. I've gone Paleo but you can buy tapioca flour in ANY store. That's ALL it is! Tapioca. Starch. You can make the same bread with ANY starch! Plus, you can knead the heck out of it and it just gets better!
  18. Wow! I stand corrected. I eat a lot of quiona and I feed it to my dogs as well (pugs, lots of allergies) I bake with Bob's Red Mill flour, we LOVE the stuff! Um...I would never buy it for daughter from bulk bin!? Costco has it (Bob's) and it's 1/2 price, compared with other stores. We eat oatmeal and I know many don't. Trader's now has their own gluten-free...
  19. Only Quinoa has all 9 amino acids!
  20. Open Original Shared Link Here ya go, all gluten free!
  21. A new product at our house. Found it in our local grocery store, $2.87. They have 3 "different" kinds/shapes, they all taste the same! Glorified tortillas BUT the square crackers come individually wrapped in 3's which is nice for those on the go. Not bad if you dress em' up! Egg salad, chicken, sardines, to mention a few.... 22. Before I plop down $9 for a bread mix, exactly what is in this mix? I did a search, nothing.... found this post. Open Original Shared Link
  23. Great idea!
  24. I have been wanting to post this for sometime but have been dealing with a real health issue and my daughter. She has HS and I think there could be a gluten connection but who knows? There is one thing I DO know. If you put something in your mouth that your body does not like it WILL come out, in some form or other, somewhere! Anyway, back to food labeling...
  25. Steam veggies, put em' front of him. Chicken? Beans? Anything finger. Orange slices. There are some really niffy food styling sites, they create such cute plates for kids. This one is young but we eat with our eyes! The one thing is wish I would of fed my kids more of? Olives! Less of? Sugar & salt!
