  1. 1 enchilada casserole.... hold the food
  2. Where did I put my cupcake pic? Over in the giraffe thread? I think I could put it here for you. I decided I was too lazy to cook and went to Sweet Cakes in the city for a metric buttton of red velvet cupcakes. I meant to freeze a few when I bought them. Instead I will polish off the last two today. (I cropped most of my other photos, didn't think about...
  3. I like turkey okay. There are plenty of other more delicious things, but I never go more than 6 months or so without roasting me a big fat bird. Done up right they're plenty delicious. As always, you probably have half of us considering braving the cold and snow to be at your place.
  4. Meh, it's soup. What is the worst that will happpen? It will be soggy? I'm sure she'll totally care, drugged senseless on narcotics.
  5. Blame Oxhorn. Seriously, I think that man may be single handedly responsible for bringing beards, big, burly, manly beards, back in style. Frankly though... bring it on. I kinda like it.
  6. Do you have friends/family who are non-moronic and can bring you food that isn't a thousand kinds of contaminated? If not, can you plan ahead and bring things with you? You'll probably be on clear liquids first. You could bring broths you know are safe in small containers from the store or in the boxes and they can refrigerate it. They should have a microwave...
  7. I won't lie, giving up more foods is HARD. I cried a little when I got my pseudotumor diagnosis and the doctor was all blah blah blah you can't eat ANYTHING anymore. At least, that is what I heard. Soy was on that list and is actually one of my biggest triggers, within minutes of eating it I will have problems depending on the amount I ate. At first I was...
  8. Hahaha! I thought I was the only person lurking around here who throws around the word tard. I repress the urge so hard here, but I'm a gamer at heart and it is just second nature to think it. I wouldn't call you that though for calling it a lifestyle. I agree with Karen that the pink hair is pretty great! Nothing wrong with being a hipster as long...
  9. Thank you kindly! I had found that and was headed to the store today for some Parm I'm not supposed to be eating. I had every intention of sharing it as soon as I tested it for perfection. I also have to check to be sure my muffin pan is a mini-pan. OMG I haven't used it in so long I can't remember if I have a regular or min muffin pan! Embarrassing. After...
  10. I'm not sure what to say exactly. There is nothing quite like being deathly ill and having all the tests say you are in perfect health. What tests did they do precisely?
  11. I hate to suggest it, but it is quite possible you are having celiac like reactions to something else. I suppose one of the most common culprits is probably soy. Are you keeping a food diary? You just need basically a list of what you eat (that means every last ingredient) and when, and symptoms, and when. Eventually you'll start to see patterns and can put...

    ARCHIVED Rodizio

We went to the Utah Valley one. We were all the way up in the city in the morning and I expected to be up there all day and eat at the Trolley Square one. Poor hubs thought he was going to freeze to death in the 15-20 degree weather at the zoo and we headed back home to warm up and nap before dinner. The Utah Valley one is pretty close to home, in American...

    ARCHIVED Rodizio

If anyone is a carnivore and lives near a Rodizio Grill I highly recommend it for your next trip out to eat. We don't go out to eat often, partly because it is expensive and partly because I'm paranoid. Theoretically Rodizio should be my worst nightmare in terms of CC, a parade of men bring skewers of meat directly to your table and carve it right there for...
  14. The issue with any sandwich meats is very tricky. It becomes a very serious issue to explain exactly how important it is that they take CC seriously, change their gloves, etc etc. I have done this with burgers a few times when I was just dying for meat, but only at what I call my home store. In this case, I am not far from home but instead it is 5 minutes...
  15. Irish is the one who brought up attracting cabana boys... aka men. I'm riding with Karen! (Yeah, so now my true side shows. I like to be topless.)
  16. That DOES look good! Aren't men and animals pretty much the same thing?
  17. My guess is that what is left of the menu would be easy. Glazed bananas should be idiot proof to make gluten free. Ditch the garlic bread, and frankly it isn't needed with that cheese bread. (I have got to find a recipe! My husband is begging me to learn to make it.) I don't know what those desserts are exactly, I did see someone getting chocolate cake. Meh...
  18. Hah! I have no desire to talk to cats. My husband's cat disappeared early this winter for a day and a half. Came back acting all like nothing happened. Only a cat.... inconsiderate jerk.
  19. Butterflies are cool too. I don't see many wild ones in the city here in Utah, but I always notice them if they're around. There is something special about them, you just have to stop and watch them for a moment before carrying on with your day. I've never been to a conservatory but I'll bet it is just wonderful. Wild animals are far cooler. I want...
  20. Wooooo!!!! That is awesome news! Hopefully she learned that adventures aren't all they're cracked up to be. Glad she seems to have weathered everything more or less okay, if a little boney.
  21. I am looking forward to the day I don't bleed like a stuck pig every time I brush my teeth. It is truly scary how much I bleed to be honest. I have to wait about 5-10 minutes after and go rinse my mouth out again to get all the blood off my teeth, it just pools and stains my whole mouth red. This is after a year gluten free. I will go in for a checkup at...
  22. Ah... but the remainder of what I did today. Now this involves food. And an endless parade of cabana boys meat servers whose entire night was filled with pleasing me. This is a small taste of the variety you'll get should you ever venture this way. http://www.rodiziogrill.com/about-us One actually slice off a rather large piece of beef then said "sorry it...
  23. They feel exactly like I imagined. Their fur is soft but they're leathery underneath. Kind of like the kind of girls that could spend their lives on the African plains and kick lions in the teeth protecting themselves and their babies. Tough girls. My kind of girls. I wanted to take pictures of the elephants for you! Poor things just will not...
  24. Thanks everyone! The morning was freakin awesome! I'm just chillin' til dinner. My husband is warming up, I think he is pretty much a hub-sicle. Poor guy, and I'm the one of us who doesn't normally handle the cold well.
  25. Swimming with dolphins sounds like fun. (For other people, I have this really bizarre thing about water on my face.) Dolphins are cool! So, we couldn't really use the flash in because they were a little skittish and it was more important that it was fun than to get awesome pictures. But they aren't awful. So. Feeding the giraffe: Petting...
