  3. Today nearly 100 years have elapsed since the first father's Day was celebrated. Fathers of 1900 didn't have it nearly as good as fathers of today; but they did have a few advantages: In 1900, fathers prayed their children would learn English. Today, fathers pray their children will speak English. In 1900, a father's horsepower meant his horses...

  5. You're very welcome CajunChik. Colleen
  6. French Fries fried in oil are 100 % gluten free. The worry is the chance of CC when prepared in a restaurant. This is assuming it is just potato's and oil (no seasoning). Most people will ask if a restaurant has a dedicated fryer. The two links you provided are not reliable sources to get accurate information. Only use credible research sources. The...
  7. This is not true in the United States. I don't know about other Countries but it seems highly unlikely. Colleen

  17. Evidently I should not drink coffee while at the computer or maybe I need a "Coffee Proof" one? And Irish, I am sending you some shirts to launder since YOU caused the "coffee spits"
  18. If you still suffer with chronic diarrhea, you are most likely experiencing CC or a completely different issue aside from Celiac. I am also not certain from your sig if you are Celiac or not. And MSG does not contain gluten. Are you sure you completely understand Celiac Disease? Or do you have other Intolerances that have nothing to do with Gluten? ...
  19. Hi MsQuel and Welcome to the Forum. I found your post to be full of anger and resentment. You seem to be very frustrated with restaurants, the medical profession, and hamburgers? I think your views are very unrealistic. I live with gluten eaters and do just fine. Dominos states that the gluten-free pizza is not safe for Celiacs. I don't know where...
  20. Hi Anna. I don't know about additional measure you can take, however, this issue has been discussed and you should be able to search the site for the discussions. Good Luck Colleen
  21. Hi there. Both of your Topics where there. I removed the second one you started as to avoid confusion, Colleen
  22. You're fine Beth. We all have days like that and we all started out thinking gluten was everywhere. Rest on the bad days and and use your good days productively. It takes lots of time for the mind and body to heal. Colleen
  23. I know that SSD is retroactive but I'm unsure about SSI. I hope you don't end up with cancer but more and more cancers are being added to the automatic approval for SSD. Maybe you should look at SSD also. If you have a strong case with backup medical data you could be approved in as little as 6 months or so. You'll also want your Doctors to write a statement...
  24. Beth, I think your imagination is starting to get away from you. If you go to sleep drunk, passed out, then you are kinda likely to lose control of your bladder. Not everything is gluten related. Try to relax with the guessing about a symptom here or there. You WILL drive yourself crazy. Colleen
