  1. I have just reported your issue to the Administration. Colleen
  2. This Forum is also what got me through the gluten-free Transition and listened to me vent when I needed to. IrishHeart personally got me through dehydration issues and helped me cope with wicked migraines and let me cry on her shoulder. I have made many friends here and hope to pay forward what I have learned. Colleen
  3. I've never seen of any that you can purchase, in the States, but there seems to be a bunch of recipes on the Internet. You might have to try your hand at baking. Colleen
  4. Yup. You have a separate allergy issue. Touching gluten is not an issues for those without an allergy to wheat. As you know Celiac is an AI Disease, not an allergy. When you said your Doctor told you that you were getting gluten from your lotion, was he talking about your allergic reaction? Then he would not be an idiot. Are you Diagnosed Celiac...
  5. I like the EOS lip balms. They taste good! Colleen
  6. The proper testing procedures for Celiac can be found here. Open Original Shared Link A rash can be DH, look at the pictures on the Dermatitis Herpetiformis thread. When you get the rash again, take pictures to document. Getting diagnosed can be really difficult. If everything continues to be negative you may still be Intolerant. Since you already...
  7. Generalbrock, Unfortunately you used information that was from 2006. Companies change formulas all the time. In the Celiac/Intolerant World you have to read each label every time. Hope you find some vitamins that work for you. Colleen
  8. Welcome to the Forum. Like so many of us, it has also been a lifetime of problems getting to this point. Trust me, it gets so much better from here. I have a shared kitchen and it is completely doable. When talking to your hubs, use words like "protocol" and "regimen" to explain the needed procedures to keep you safe. Take a few days to deep clean...
  9. I picked up my first package of Enjoy Life Crispy Sugar Cookies. OMG ... NOM NOM NOM Colleen
  10. Glad everything went well. Colleen
  11. I was able to view the article this morning but I just tried again and got an error. Maybe it will clear itself. Colleen
  12. yup. Derm Time. Let us know how it goes Colleen
  13. Nope. Mine are different. They look like someone took a red ball point pen and made dots. Yours definitely looks like a reaction to something. Do you have any known allergies? Changes in detergents or anything? Colleen
  14. I get the red dots too. Have for years. I see a dermatologist every 3 months and they don't seem to be a concern since my blood work and vitamins hover in the normal range. I have no working theory about these dots so I am interested in what you guys think too. Colleen
  15. I love Mexican food also. I found that I just can't handle the spicer stuff. I get the same thing your describing. The blood on the tissue for me is because I have internal hemmorhoids and they inflame, etc. Now I just have to cut way back on the spices and peppers and then I take my papaya enzymes and pop a couple tums. Colleen
  16. This is an old thread. The member Smarts has not been active since April of 2011. You may want to start a new topic. Colleen
  17. Like Nicole, I also get flares. In my experience AI flares are different then being glutened. My AI flares can happen if I get run down, overly stressed, and sometimes I have no idea why. I do not suspect my flares are because of Celiac but because of additional AI Diseases that I have. Colleen
  18. Just settle down Everything will be right with the world when you finish your procedures. Just think, after tomorrow you can start feeling better regardless of the results. The Doctor may or may not say anything after the procedure. Biopsies usually take around 1 - 2 weeks for results. Let us know how it all goes. Colleen
  19. Sorry for your set back. Are you sure that the lotion was the problem? Unless you were licking it off your fingers or something, its not likely the cause. Are your supplement/medications gluten free? Do you have a shared kitchen? I would look at some other possibilities. Also, I don't know how long you have been diagnosed but it does take time to heal...
  20. First, there is no known testing for Gluten Intolerance. Second, I'm assuming you have a reason to suspect Celiac Disease? If so then you should discuss your concerns with your Doctor. As you know, we are not Gene Specialists here. I really have no idea what your results mean. These results do not show the two genes they look for in Celiac Disease, DQ...
  21. Here is a list of foods by protein content: I was told by my Oncologist that Bison was a good replacement for red meat. I stay away from pork but I do have chicken in moderation. I also stay away from sugar as much as possible. Open Original Shared Link Since you don't like fish, seeds and nuts would be a good source of Omega 3's. Here is...
  22. BelleVie, Rest assured, your questions were completely legit. Some of the replies went to the "Urban Legend" level. These are the types of mis-information that we try to refute with research or plead for use of common sense. Colleen
  23. I have a shared kitchen. No problems running dishes together in the dishwasher. Obviously if a plate comes out with food stuck on it then clean again, but if you rinse them before you run them then there is no problem. Try to place the gluten-free foods on selves, either in pantry or fridge, above the other food to prevents spills. In a shared kitchen...
