ARCHIVED Regular Budweiser-anyone Drink It?
happygirl replied to iluvfupa's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
It is not safe to drink. Why would companies make gluten free beers if 'normal' beers were safe -
Cheating is not ok. If you are healed, its only as permanent as you are gluten free. If you ingest gluten, your body turns a switch on, and damage occurs. The goal is to keep the switch off (the autoimmune switch). Symptoms do not equal damage.

ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Judy/Donna: Thanks for bringing this up. I am working on finding a good PT to do that. My dr. wrote me a prescription to have it done, as my lymph nodes swell during my flares, causing me a huge amount of pain. Judy, I'm happy it provided you with some relief. When you have a chance, can you share what you know about it and what type you had, etc? ... -

 to you all too... Bev, I'm just happy you have some answers. I am SO relieved for you. -
No, haven't eaten there. I am so sensitive and have been glutened at every "gluten free" restaurant that I very rarely ever eat out. Its easier on everyone that way . I think my mom has been there though, and loves it. Hope that its a great experience!

Angie, Just wanted to offer my support. I am infinitely relieved that your sweet baby is doing ok, and happy that you received medical attention. I hope that everything else gets worked out ... worrying about that is certainly the last thing you need. Best of luck...and please keep us updated. Hugs, Laura

And my doctor's rationale of not ordering the C D 57 was very similar to Carla's...I think they treat very similarly. (Not knocking it by any means...at all! Just offering what I know) Her words were "I know you are sick." -

Rachel: I had the full Western Blot, etc. done through Igenex. I have only had the co-infections test through Quest, because she said they are often negative anyways, so she doesn't place but *so* much emphasis on a negative test. I've had two tests done through quest...first one I was positive for RMSF, second one (after I'd been on treatment), I was negative... -

I think I remember this thread, the first go round, and how interesting it was then, too. We really do have a wide array of professions around here! No wonder we all have such different perspectives on things!!! Lisa, thanks for starting this back up I have a BA in psychology and an MS in Human Development/Family Studies (developmental/research...

Patti...your description made me laugh Rinne, you are so sweet...always asking about everyone.... And you would be proud of me. I was orginally planning to go to the GIG conference and I really wanted to. But, I declined because of everything else going on-I know I need to rest. I said NO to something! Shocker! I think that I think a lot... -

Bev, my neck/head/shoulder/upper back pain is a classic sign that I'm in a flare. I also have tender spots all over the rest of me that are worse during a flare...inside of my arm (near my elbow), on my butt, my lower back, places on my legs...etc. My hands get super stiff and painful too. Yeah the muscle/joint pain is one of the worst for me. xoxo -

ARCHIVED Ranch Dressings
happygirl replied to candi1008's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Jenny, These companies that I listed have had a solid "we won't hide anything" policy for as long as I have been on this board. Maybe Peter or one of the other members has the documentation. I fully trust this list, and have verified many of them myself, and have gotten trustworthy responses. I can't speak if this has changed very recently. -

Hi all.... Been reading and trying to keep up. We were out of town for the weekend, so I am just now finally having the chance to sit down and share about my last appt with my LLMD. So, the sad news (for me) is that my biopsy samples that were sent out (from Sept 06) to MDL were negative for Lyme/co-infections. Its similar to Celiac biopsies...negative... -

Wow, Bev...but happy you got the results. FYI: Generally, your blood tests from Igenex only take 2 weeks (10 business days). They fax them to the drs office as soon as they are ready. I know you had the biopsy also, but just wanted to let you know all that . -
ARCHIVED Endomysial Antibody Result
happygirl replied to Boffin's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
The vast majority of Celiacs that go on a gluten free diet have their chances of most cancers lessened dramatically. Its those with undiagnosed or untreated Celiac that have an increased risk. Once you go gluten free, your body starts to heal, and rebuild itself. Your intestines regenerate every 3-4 days...so for most, the damage is NOT permanent. (for...
