    Yesterday, I received a container of Benefiber in the mail. I find it questionable. The only ingredient listed is "wheat dextrin." It states it is sugar free, sodium free, and gluten free.     No, everything you have done has not been ruined. They do say however, sometimes the damage one glutening causes, can take 6 months to repair. Yet, that damage is nothing compared to where you were 1 1/2 yrs ago. It was accidental, now just get back to your gluten-free lifestyle and things will get back to your normal again. Good luck!

    I never wanted to cheat, never wanted to see what would happen. Did I still crave foods I can't have anymore, ABSOLUTELY, and after 8 yrs, I still do. Last January, I was glutened by an OTC med, and I was sick for 3 months, lost 24#. No, I never need to check and see if I really can have gluten!!!

    Some scented candles do not even need to be burning to set me off. The worst reaction I have had to a candle, was several years ago and it was one of those 3 tiered candles, with 3 different scents. I had it burning next to the computer and my head started to hurt, then my nose started running, my eyes, were running and then, my nost ran, like a faucet...

    You did great, stay positive. There will always be those days when you get tested, this was your fist big test and you passed with flying colors. Keep up the good work. We do mourn gluten, there is a mourning process for most of us. I mourn every year at holiday time, all the wonderful foods on tv ads, patients bring us treats at work, other doctors...

    Barley grass and wheat grass are questionable...some say it's ok, and some do not. I will not take a vitamin with either in it. Puritan Pride multi-vitamins are said to be gluten free, yet they contain barley grass.     I had a hysterectomy 1 yr ago last August. Just be prepared.     I had 5 kids, and didn't have one for years and years, then I had one for about 5 yrs, and haven't had one since. My parents--no daughter--no 1 son-yes 3 sons-no sister--no I honestly believe it probably is about 50/50. Many, many people do not have them.

    Welcome to the forum. There are just as many gluten intolerant on this board as there are celiacs. I'm glad you are feeling so much better.

    Good, I'm sure they have changed the ingredients, it did contain gluten. These companies can change ingreds anytime they want. We have to always read the label, every time we buy the product. I was using Hellman's Canola Mayo, and it was great, then I got sick with it. They had changed it, made it cholesterol free, and added soy to it. I can't have soy...

    This is the truth. This is the only thing that will work for all of us. They can tell a diabetic when a med is safe for them, why not us? There really is no need for gluten in meds.
