  1. okay, then almond breeze is a no go however, if you are a cheese fan, the cookbook is incredibly great.
  2. bob's red mill has two factories - one is gluten free, the other isn't. some gluten free grains are made in the gluten factory, so make sure you don't get those (corn meal, carob are two i remember). i got very sick from both. however, i have never gotten ill from anything from his gluten-free factory, and i am very sensitive. i use all his products for...
  3. can you have soy lethicin? if so, i suggest almond breeze for milk, earth balance for butter (or coconut oil/butter as you suggested), homemade yogurt, anything from the Uncheese Cookbook for cheese, homemade ice cream.
  4. thanks, i'll use the corn starch tonight (as I have it in abundance) and if not, seek out my health food store. thank you so much!
  5. that is really interesting. i know you said you don't know enough about it, but does your friend have any publications or anything on hand? i would love to delve more into that.
  6. I have a rash on my chest. I think it's just from my night sweats, and then when it gets sweaty, I scratch uncontrollably. Then a rash forms, and it's itchy. What are some gluten free (and hopefully casein free) itch relief creams (or similar)? Thank you.
  7. after gluten free, i'm pretty much constantly bloated. but i'm not having diarreah, and a lot of my other symptoms went away. i'd rather be bloated then the other stuff.
  8. try getting in a calcium and vitamin d - i would highly recommend it. i noticed a difference once i started that.
  9. i read that you are off of grains, but you can make granola type bars without them -use nuts, seeds, dried fruit, et cetera. gazpacho often has a tomato base, but really, it's just cold soup. you can even make it with fruit. any sort of salads... what about just fresh veggies in a light vinegrette? anything with some oil and vinegar with lots of...
  10. what about homemade granola-type bars and trail mix? dried fruit? raw fruits and veggies for snacking? (in a cooler) gazpacho? salads (not just lettuce... anything! fruit, vegetables, tuna, et cetera)? nut butters
  11. some wines contain casein, and i notice you are casein free. also - perhaps there is a sulphite sensitivity involved.
  12. cherries, in general, cause bloating.
  13. the autoimmune gene often is passed along.
  14. i don't even need to post anything else, because y'all just described my total life. that emotional cutting is a great way to put it.
  15. does she take any vitamins?
  16. hey skoki_mom, pillars meats are mostly gluten-free. they make turkey sausage (among pork sausage, too), that my mom loves. they are gluten/dairy/ and most other allergen free. they are a canadian company.
  17. quick (somewhat lighthearted story): when i was really little and i had these, i used to get out of bed, walk into my sister's room, put my face about 2 inches away from hers and start letting out blood curdling screams. this, of course, would scare the garbage out of her. i was none the wiser, and was asleep. but then it would replay to me later like...
  18. I don't eat there, but my mom does all the time and has never had a problem. But I was just clarifying that the chicken is gluten-free.
  19. Gax X capsules are gluten-free, not the caplets.
  20. What about glycerine suppositories?
  21. Before I was diagnosed, I suffered severe night terrors and sleep paralysis. They haven't recurred (the terrors) when glutened, but the paralysis does. I feel for you.
  22. Just so you know, other than their soda, I've had huge problems with everything I've had President's Choice.
  23. Was this Swiss Chalet? If so, their chicken is, indeed, only with salt.
  24. i am not sure what those are... can you please enlighten me? i would love a remedy!
  25. thanks for the responses! ironically, more showed up after some time in the sun, but i only get them on my chest (right about at my sternum, between my breasts). it does look like the photo on the website (the one on the left), but it hasn't gone away, ever. i got my first 'splotch' when i was a kid, and then this summer, many formed around it.
